Large, fantastic two story two bedroom townhome with large, full kitchen, wonderful fireplace, deck with amazing mountain views. Feels more like a house than a condo. Can walk to the quaint town of Breckenridge with wonderful dining and shopping - just a block away. Can also walk to the base of the gondola up to the mountain or to the peak 9 ski lift. Very family friendly area and great skiing! Two and a half bath, large living room - very cozy. No car needed! Note: in summer, we have unit J1 instead of D1, with 2 baths (no half bath)

About Kathy Winsted

We vacation twice a year in Breckenridge and have a daughter who lives in town. We have both a summer and a winter condo at French Hill and love how close it is to town. We also own at a resort on the mountain. Sometimes we use the French Hill unit in the winter (unit D1) for part of our family and some years we rent it out. We got an extra 2 bedroom summer week also (unit J1) in addition to the three bedroom that we use so that we could choose to stay for two weeks if we decide to do so. Both the winter and the summer unit are above ground and have two levels with bedrooms upstairs and living room/kitchen downstairs.

Why Kathy Winsted chose Historic District

We love skiing at Breckenridge and we love that this property is close to town and there is a grocery store just down the street. Everything is really convenient. It also feels more like a private home than a condo since it has a separate entrance from the outside, two levels and a private deck. We also love shopping in the town and biking in the summer on the nearby bike path that goes all the way down to Dillon or to Copper Mountain. In summer, we love renting bikes and going to Dillon on the bike trail and renting a boat on Lake Dillon.

What makes this townhome unique

The views are amazing and it is incredibly convenient to everything. The wood stove is also amazing and the living room is very cozy and comfortable. There is a lot of space in the kitchen and the dining room as well.

There is a free bus right outside the building that goes to the Breck gondola. You can also walk to the gondola if you prefer - about 15 minutes walk or you can walk to the Quicksilver lift about the same distance. No need to worry about parking at the mountain. You also don't need to worry about parking in town since you will be just a few minutes walk from the center of town. A close drive or bus ride to many other ski areas as well, including Keystone, Copper Mountain, Arapahoe Basin, and Vail. In summer, there are bike rentals and a bike trail within walking distance and a fun park up the gondola, as well as a chair lift ride on the mountain. Boats can be rented on nearby Lake Dillon. In winter, our unit is D1, in summer it is J1. Both are two story, two bedroom units.
