Very comfy!Beds excellent & convenient walking
Owners were responsive to our note of need for misc missing items & fresh linens brought over twice--more than enough. As we were 1st guests this season, some little repair & housekeeping needed in lower bedroom. (We were intrigued by the large gunsafe in LR) Very nice property!
Lovely home in great location
The town home was lovely and spacious, the owners were very reachable and eager to help, the location was perfect and accessible to everywhere. Free use of the hot tub at the spa was a big plus as well.
We so appreciated hosting your family during your time in Homer! And thanks for taking great care of the place or us during your stay. Please come back and spend time with us whenever you make it back up through Alaska!

This place was awesome
Perfect place to stay. Highly recommend. Only downside was no washer and dryer but perfect otherwise.
So glad to hear you had a great stay....and that you loved the Townhouse! Please come and join us again next time through Homer.

Missing a few things in the house. Beds and bedding very comfortable! The owners very helpful with setting up a cruise for us. We had 6 staying in the house.
A Nice Rental
The rental is in a very good location and was very comfortable. It was clean and we heard from Caleb throughout our visit. There wasn't dishwasher soap for the dishwasher (which I'm sure Caleb would have brought over, but our timing to ask for it was goofy--we never asked) and some of the soap dispensers were out, but we worked around it! I'm fully confident they would have replenished everything, had we asked.
One negative for us was that there were no curtains in any of the bedrooms, only blinds. Living in Alaska, we're somewhat used to the ever-present daylight in the summer, but we still had to MacGyver some room darkening, especially for our boys. The master bedroom was especially bright with the beautiful windows above the bed. Bring a sleep mask and you'll be fine, but something to be aware of!
We really enjoyed staying at this townhouse and were very happy with how kind everyone was. The playground just up the road is AMAZING!
Annual Family Halibut Fishing Trip
I must say this is the first time I've used VRBO to rent a vacation home. After reviewing all the listings offered in the area which I was interested in, I chose this property. It seemed to offer the space, amenities, and area we were looking for. When we arrived at the property, it was very nice, location was excellent. Upon reading the information sheet from the property owner, it stated there was no cable/satellite service, only netflix! No where in the property listing did it mention that was not an option at the property. The owners do offer internet service, however, when we entered the passcode, it said it was invalid. We contacted the caretaker and were told, the previous renters had used up all the data, and they would have to contact the internet provider to add data. After 36 minutes the data plan was exhausted, again! After numerous calls, expressing our frustration, we were told that is all they could do for us, at the time. We were not on a vacation to sight-see, we caught the fishing charter at 6am each day and back by 4. That was the purpose of our trip.
The property does not offer a washer/dryer, and in our 5-day stay, we had to make a trip to the laundromat twice to wash towels. There was a total of 6 bath towels, 6 washcloths and 4 handtowels. Unless, you want to dry off with wet towels, or don't plan on showering , daily, either bring your own towels, or spend time doing laundry.
In the description, it states the great views it offers from the balcony. I thought, awesome, I could have a cup of coffee or glass of wine, and enjoy the views. Well, all you see are the neighbors broken down play set, a trampoline and some trees, nowhere from the property can you see any views of the spit, mountains or anything of "wow".
Overall, the stay was pleasant, the layout of the house was great, and the house was very clean and well maintained.
Great restaurants and coffee house within walking distance
Cons: No Cable/Satellite TV
Poor internet service
Lack of Towels
Upstairs bathroom, shower only and extremely small, even for a petite person
No clocks or alarm clocks anywhere in unit
Upper floors are wood planks, and you can hear EVERYTHING downstairs, a whispering conversation, using the restroom, even tip-toeing.
Homer is simply an amazing place...and no wonder why National Geographic rated it the #1 Wilderness Town in America! Incredible scenery, a well established arts community, amazing food, diverse culture, and wilderness activities...it's all here. Don't come for a night...you will be disappointed you did... Come for a week!
