Monteton (3.5km), with stunning views, has a nice restaurant and a 12th-century church. From this viewpoint, you can see the 13 bell towers of nearby churches. There are also several places to eat in the nearby historic towns of Monsegur (15km), Duras (8km) and Marmande (21km).

Trespontets consists of two self-contained properties; you are renting both, with a private swimming pool and large garden, all on the ground floor, and a total of 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.

Cottage 1: All accommodation on the ground floor, 1 x hairdryer and fans in each of the 3 bedrooms, 2 shower rooms.
1: Spacious, luxurious and light room with a Super king-size bed (180cm x 200cm). Electric shutters for the windows. En-suite walk-in shower, wc and wash basin.
2: Single bed (90cm x 190cm) with the possibility to add a single bed if required. Electric shutters for the window.
3: Another spacious and luxuriously presented room with a Super king-size bed (180cm x 200cm). Electric shutters for windows and doors.
Shower room: Modern and well-presented shower room with corner shower, basin unit and wc, shared with bedrooms 2 and 3.

Kitchen: The well-equipped kitchen is modern with a lovely country feel and views over the grounds. Electric oven, Gas hob, Extractor fan, Washing machine, Dishwasher, Pantry cupboard with a microwave, Kettle, Nespresso coffee machine, cafetiere, Island unit with stools, Fridge-freezer.

Lounge and dining table: Beautifully presented open-plan living space with two sets of double doors opening onto the alfresco eating area and gardens. Wi-Fi, a 2-seater sofa, a 3-seater sofa, an armchair, and a dining table that seats 8. A 42-inch TV with UK English language free-to-view channels, DVD player, iPad docking station, DVDs and Games.
Games room: Games room with table tennis and table football.

Outside Maison de Tilleul: An oak pergola frames the front of the house, providing a superb shaded alfresco area with table and chairs seating 10 people and a gas and charcoal BBQ, as well as a more relaxed seating area with exterior sofas and chairs. 2 acres of gardens surround the two properties, each having a separate driveway/parking.

Living area: Comfortable and homely open-plan living area with a circular dining table seating 4, a 3-seater sofa and an armchair, a working fireplace, Wi-Fi, TV with UK English-language Freeview channels, a DVD player, DVDs, games and books. Doors lead onto the patio.

Private *heated swimming pool: The private above-ground pool measures 3.4m x 6m and is 1.2m deep, with a decked surround and loungers and chairs.

Cleaning/towels/linen: Luxurious Egyptian cotton bed linen, bath towels and pool towels are included in the price.

Trespontets is set near the village of Allemans du Dropt 4.2km, by the River Dropt, with horse riding, canoeing, camping and a friendly bar and restaurant. There is a nearby 9-hole golf course within a 15-minute drive, as well as many local walking and hiking trails and lakes for swimming.
The towns of Monsegur 15km, Duras 8km, Bergerac is 40km and St Emilion 50km.

Tree adventure and climbing park: Just 15km, climbing through the trees and zip wire, fun for all the family of all ages. Playground and snack bar.
Duras Castle: The famous Château de Duras, 8km away, is well worth a visit for its stunning 360-degree vista.
Wildlife park, animals: Parc du Griffon, animals, play areas and snack bar. 20 20-minute drive 8km away. Beach: A freshwater lake with a sandy beach at Blasimon is just 35km away and is a popular attraction to take children for a day out. The gently shelving sand provides a safe, fun environment for splashing and cooling off in the summer sun. Aqua Park is 40km away, located near Bergerac. Beach, canoeing and a water park. Aqua Fun Park near Casteljaloux is 47km. Park with a vast freshwater lake, picnic benches, walks, facilities, a man-made sandy beach, water sports, and a kids' play area, great for adults and kids of all ages.
Chocolate: A very nice shop to visit next to their artisan factory. 2km from Duras.
Public tennis courts: Good-quality courts are located in Monsegur, Duras and St Sernin de Duras; they are booked via the local tourist information office.
Canoe Kayak hire: Allemans-du-Dropt on the Dropt river, 4.5km. Sainte-Foy-la-Grande, the Dordogne river, 30km.
Boat trips: Dordogne river boat trips are available in Bergerac.
Golf: There are many pay-and-play golf courses within the area, the best being the beautiful Chateau Des Vigiers Golf and Country Club 26km. The chateau dates back to 1597 and is set on 450 acres of stunning countryside. Facilities also include a fine restaurant and a relaxing beauty spa.

Markets: Most villages and towns hold weekly markets full of fresh and interesting local produce. House heating by electric wall heaters. End-of-stay cleaning is required; the house must be left as you found it and in reasonable condition on departure.
