A lovely cottage in the heart of the Peak District
This is a fantastic cottage - really good value. Cosy, well equipped. We had a lovely stay. Longnor is a small, picturesque village right in the heart of the Peak District - with a choice of pubs, a village shop and a Post Office. I'd definitely stay here again.

Lovely spacious property
It is lovely to stay in a property with such a welcoming charm. The shop next door was handy and some lovely eating places. We did miss the internet and mobile network. Having to drive about a mile out of the village to get a signal but it was a good excuse to go to the little cafe next door to use there free wi if.

Cosy Cottage
This was our second stay at this property. Lovely cosy cottage easily accommodated four adults and a dog. Ideal location for short drives to loads of great walks. Karen made us feel very at home when she stopped by to clean the flat upstairs. She was happy for us to leave the dog at home if it was too hot to take her with us. We had the lovely hot bank holiday weather, which was a bonus. It's a shame that the Café was closed (due to renovations) and the pub was closed down. Leek and Buxton are a short drive away for supermarket/restaurants. There are plenty of pubs in the nearby villages for a meal, all are a short drive away, approx.10mins to the nearest ones. We all loved our long weekend in Longnor.........we will all be back again! Thank you for a lovely stay. Hazel, Martin, Sam, Harry and Lucy the dog

Great base for activities
Great situation for activities, walks and cosy for relaxing. Shame the village pub and cafe have closed, meaning travel for eating out.

Hill farmers in the Peak District. We live a couple of miles out of the village now, but used to live in this property.

Why they chose this property

A great place to bring your pets. Walks straight from the front door. Pubs also on the doorstep for relaxing in the evening without the worry of driving. Some of the best cycling areas in the Peak District. Wood burning stove (and central heating) for those cosy evenings. Longnor is a thriving small village with 2 pubs, 2 cafes (one right next door) and a fish and chip shop.
