Mostly good

The place was nice and clean and easy to find. The owner seemed pleasant. We didn't need to contact her much. The listing is pretty unrealistic, though. It is definitely not steps from the beach. It's a good half mile or more and across some major intersections to the nearest beach. And the beach towels were bath towels that looked like they came from a hotel pool somewhere. We left real beach towels there. I hope they remain for future guests. Parking is free, but difficult to come by after 6 or so in the evening. The part that worried me the most is something that is unfortunately out of the owner's control, but if I had known I would not have stayed there. There is a man who appears to be seriously mentally challenged. He is the direct neighbor, and he paces the yard constantly throughout the day and evening. There is a fence divider, but as you try to leave he gets as close to the fence as possible and shouts. He shouts and talks to himself day and night. He woke me up shouting every day I was there, once as early as 1:30am, but at least by 5 every morning. He didn't cause us any physical harm, but he is very unsettling, particularly when you leave the house alone, and I would have been even more concerned if I had brought kids.

Nice clean, but location was not as we were told!

We had a good stay, everything was nice clean and fine. We were told we were within walking distance to a grocery and liquor store and many restaurants. I quote 10-15 blocks. How about 25-30 blocks maybe. We spent hundreds of dollars on Uber! Lastly for four guys we had ONE roll of toilet paper!!! When I asked for more I was told that's all you get! Really turned us off over a very small thing, but we would have had to spend $15 dollars to Uber to grocery store. Not real smart. OK if you want to be secluded, and away from everything!

Clean apartment close to the beach

We arrived late and Elizabeth had left us snacks which was appreciated. The apartment was very clean and a short 10 minute walk to the beach. It had beach chairs and a umbrella for our use. Nice patio outside. As with other reviews having basic condiments (salt and pepper) would be good. It is a quiet neighborhood and close to bus transportation. We would definitely stay here again.

Stay in Miami Beach

The apartment was great . It is clean and bright . All the things you need for a great holiday can be found here . The Publix is just a few blocks away. It is a very friendly contact and you can always call and get everything explained . The apartment is totally recommended . thank you

Nice apartment in residential area

Very nice, well kept and super clean apartment. Great accommodations for my wife and 2 young boys. Well furnished kitchen, comfortable couches and eating area. The welcome basket with snacks and water was a very nice touch! The outdoor area around the back of the apartment is very clean, tiled floor with a nice eating area which we really appreciated during our stay. It's in a residential area so you don't get the street noise close to the beach and strip, but you do hear the neighbors. We really liked the open space park shown in the pictures which you walk through when going to the beach. There's even a fitness trail that can be used in lieu of going to a gym. This area of the beach is less busy than the other areas with huge condo buildings, but just as nice. It's centrally located in the Miami Beach area, 15 minute drive to Hollywood Beach on the North and South Miami Beach on the South. Also a quick drive to the airport. Overall, a very nice stay in Miami Beach!

very nice place

we had a very good time there. The place is very nice and it has also a nice gardenplace where you can sit outside and eat. It is very close to the beach and is a quiet area. The equipment is good and it was clean when we arrived and elisabeht had us surprised with a welcome basket. The internet is verry fast and it has a wasching machine. for the parking situation is sometimes not that easy wen you arive a bit late in the evening. Otherwise everything in order and i only can recomend this place.

Excellent experience!

The apartment has a great location, 10 minutes walking distance to the ocean and park. Nice and quiet neighborhood. The apartment equipped with everything you need and even more! It also very clean. Elizabeth, the owner, was so nice to provide additional stuff like beach towels and chairs. She was able to answer all the questions and was always ready to help. Great experience! Highly recommended. Will definitely stop here again in the future. Thank you very much!

great stay, no complaints at all. would definitely go again

I really enjoyed my stay. Place was very clean and well organized. The place had beach chairs, towels, soap, shampoo, dishes. Elizabeth provided us with water bottles, lots of snacks. We ate and drank everything. The area was nice, people were friendly, 10 min walk to the beach. And 15min drive to south beach (buses are available). My first time ever going to Miami, so I got lost on the way to the house. my phone wasn't working in the U.S so I had to use the airport phone to contact Elizabeth. She ended up waiting at the house for 2hrs past the time I said I'd be there. I felt horrible, but extremely thankful that she waited for us. Overall, it was a great stay, I enjoyed it a lot and would definitely stay there again.

Happy with our stay!

We were very happy with our stay. The property was very clean and well furnished. The location was perfect. We loved the privacy of the patio outside. It was a very quiet area. Parking was ok. There was only one time when we weren't able to find a spot near the rental, but one quickly came available and we moved the car. It was a short walk to the beach which had sidewalks and crosswalks. The beach access was through a very nice park. Drives to downtown, Southbeach, etc were manageable. As far as house kitchen supplies, if you plan to cook in the house, you will need to check what is stocked first before you go to the grocery store. Some rentals come with stocked staples like salt and pepper, paper towels etc., this one did not. The bathroom had soap, shampoo and conditioner. Overall, this property was excellent and I recommend it to anyone wanting to be near the beach but a bit away from all the traffic and noise. Elizabeth was very kind and responsive.

Great place at a great price

Our stay was was great short of our unlucky weather for a Miami December( lots of rain), but weather aside we a good location to be near the beach. Location was in neighborhood setting which makes it less congested traffic area. Loved the patio area which offered more privacy than most hotels or resorts along the beach. Elizabeth was very helpful from start to finish offering assistance with anything from places to eat things to do, as well as making sure we had all the necessities/amenities for our stay. I plan to visit Miami again in the future and I have this location as a favorite for when I return.

Our family spent three great days in Miami and stayed at this lovely place. This apartment was just right for our trip. The house was very comfortable, in a quiet neighbor. Amazing stay!

Spent a week here on vacation with my parents and we absolutely loved it! It's a clean, beautiful place that definitely feels like home. Quiet neighborhood, not far from beautiful beaches and great restaurants. Aside from how great the place is itself, the owner is so lovely. Elizabeth moved things around in her day to be there to greet us when we arrived earlier than expected. She and her husband were so friendly and welcoming. My parents and I feel so blessed to have gotten to stay here and meet Elizabeth and her family. They are TRULY special people! We can't wait to come back!

AMAZING, PARADISE FOUND!

I can't get enough of how beautiful this apartment was. I loved the decoration it was very very beautifuy with high end furniture. My husband and I and my kids had everything we needed. The apartment is close to everything, I don't know why we even bothered renting a car that was a waste of money. Nothing beats the Florida beaches, we went to one restaurant called Manolos it is Argentinian and that place was incredible. Elizabeth the owner is outstanding, omg I feel as if she were part of my family, she did everything to make our stay the best, no hotel has concierge service like this. She had a nice welcome basket for us and even had some gifts for my kids to play with at the beach. She had all the beach supplies and I mean all the beach supplies for us, she is so sweet she probably would have had bathing suites too. This is definately a place worth returning to. Gracias Elizabeth!!!

TOTAL LUXURY!!!

We loved staying at this property. We had a lovely time. It was extra clean, very spacious, and extremely comfortable. We rented a car and really didn’t even need it. The beach was just a few blocks away and there were restaurants close by for all meals. We never repeated a restaurant. I never had a problem finding parking and the neighbors were very friendly. I loved having my coffee in the back porch feeling the fresh ocean breeze. As for the host, Elizabeth, she was outstanding provided us with all the necessities for the beach. She was always a phone call away and went out of her way to make us feel as if we were part of her very own family. In fact she even offered to make us some cuban cafe to try it out and showed us how to make a great cup of espresso. Thank you Elizabeth for all your help in getting around and for sharing your lovely property with us. We are happy that we now have a permanent place to stay for all of our future Florida vacation travels.

This is a fourplex home, also known as a multifamily. There are four apartments on a single floor. All units are ground level and there is no one above you. The building is surrounded by an array of native Florida plant life and of course just a few walking steps from one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.

The unique benefit of renting Villa Tropico is that you will feel as if you are in your own home. No busy and noisy reception area, no elevators, no noisy neighbors. This is a ground level four apartment building with free parking just a few steps away. Many hotels exclude high parking and registration fees. You will not encounter that proplem at Villa Tropico.
