The ONLY DIRECT OCEAN FRONT casita on the property. It is described by guests as charming and magical and is located minutes from quaint downtown Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach, Florida. Enjoy an ocean view from almost every room of this mediterrean casita. The beach is 16 steps from the front door and the large patio is completely ocean front. Sip pina coladas or enjoy your favorite wine, while dinning on the patio which is ocean front. Relax to the clean Atlantic Ocean breeze while listening to the seaguls and waves crash ashore while sitting or on your patio. No stress allowed! There is a beautiful pool, jacuzzi, as well as laundry facilities on the property and plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas. While your beach is private, there is also a public beach and park in walking distance as well as plenty of nearby grocery stores
and restaurants. Sit ocean front at night and enjoy the glistening
of the moon on the ocean. We are fully equipped with beach chairs, pool and beach toys, sheets, etc.

Beachfront Escape

My husband and I rented Casita 1 for two weeks in November. We had a fabulous stay and wish we could be there all winter long. Our host Barbara, was an excellent communicator, very thoughtful and went out of her way to make our stay even more enjoyable. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Casa Playa is right on A!A so very close to everything in downtown Delray but once you park in your assigned spot and walk down the meandering path to the casita you are lost in another time and place. The sound of the waves breaking on the beach and the ocean breeze lulled us to sleep at night and while lying in bed we could watch the sunrise every morning. The casita is small but holds everything you could possibly need for a fun filled stay at the beach. Thank you Barbara!

Mimi's Summer Camp

Living 2 states away from my 4 and 5 year old grandchildren has been hard, especially during Covid. I rented this precious Casita for the 3 of us to stay in. We enjoyed seeing the turtle tracks as 2 laid their eggs while we were there. The evenings on the beach were the best with lovely cooler ocean breezes. It was completed with a visit to the Sandoway Discovery Center.

A perfect beach cottage!

Our arrival and departure instructions were seamless. The property was exactly as shown in the photos. We had everything needed for our stay, wonderful towels, soft bedding and a complete kitchen with every possible pot, pan and utensils. Sitting on the patio every evening was so delightful, even though we were there in the middle of July, there was always a breeze. Location, location, location! A great getaway with my grandchildren!

Paradise

From the moment you walk through the gate, and realize that the beach and ocean are only footsteps from your casita, you know you’ve made the right choice in accommodations. I was fortunate enough to spend the week there and I couldn’t have asked for more. The casita is very welcoming and is outfitted very well when it comes to amenities to aid in cooking, listening to music and even an Alexa! I loved my mornings on the patio with a coffee, book and amazing view...incredibly relaxing! The owners were wonderful and checked in to make sure we had what we needed and made sure we knew how to contact them if anything came up. All in all, the casita was paradise with an amazing view, steps from a virtually uninhabited stretch of the beach and incredibly comfortable accommodations. Perfect beach retreat - hidden little gem

We are hesitant to write this review, as we really don't want the secret to get out that this place is perfect. While the casita is not big, it is clean, well appointed and in a perfect location. It is mere steps to the beach and the pool/hot tub. The beach is a lovely quiet stretch of sand perfect for reading a book or letting the kids play. We delighted in sitting on the patio with some music and cocktails while feeling the ocean breeze and watching the pelicans crash into the surf for some lunch. The location could not be better as it is an easy walk to a number of restaurants and stores and a quick drive to the popular strip on Atlantic Ave. Truthfully, we can't think of anything negative to say. Can't wait to go back!

Oasis right on the beach

Could you imagine waking up every morning to see the sunrise over the ocean from your kitchen window and patio? Every morning my husband and I had our coffee on the patio overlooking the ocean. Then we took a dip in the gorgeous pool steps away. Lunch from the grill would be at the table beside the pool. The kids loved seeing the bright green iguanas. Plenty of amazing restaurants nearby. Everything you could ask for in a vacation! We will be back for sure! Thank you Paul and Barbara for the vacation of a lifetime!

We have been here multiple times and it never disappoints. Beachfront, classy and clean. Everything is within a half mile, groceries, restaurants and plenty of shopping. Simply Casita. Outside the casita is a gate to sand path. Your on the beach in a few minute walk. Saltwater Pool and hot tub are a pleasure between beach visits. Nice to walk to beach listen to waves with coffe in hand and have chairs awaiting to sit and enjoy waves and water.

The place was everything as advertised and more. We do VRBO multiple times a year and we now some listings are not what they seem. This listing lived up to everything and more. Barbara and Paul were excellent hosts and made the stay very easy and extremely comfortable. The house had everything from toys for the kid to play on the beach and even coffee for Dad. A vacation in paradise

The cottage surpassed my expectations! The location, perfect; the furnishings and decor, perfect; towels, sheets, kitchenware, appliances—perfect. And as an extra, very nice welcoming neighbors. This is a very nice, quaint village by the sea. It’s quite and private with completely private beach access. You’ll be just a few steps away from white sand when you stay here on the lush, well manicured property. The owners are very responsive and will tend to all of your needs. Why stay anywhere else?

Loved the casita!

We were in love with this casita from the moment we walked in! Incredibly cozy, yet at the same time well appointed with everything we needed. It felt tiny at first, but after a few hours it felt like home. It was super clean and tidy, and the furnishings fun, with a French flair. The private beach front patio was the “piece de resistance!” We hope to return year after year, if we can find the availability for our time. Thank you Barbara and Paul.

Perfectly Comfortable

Such a gem. Barbara made sure we had everything we needed from beach towels to beach toys for the kids, to toiletry samples in the linen closet, ready to use if you forgot or had to fly. You are close to everything you might need or want, but you feel far away from it all. The property is beautiful, the water was clear blue, the views are fantastic. Our kids had a blast and we loved every minute of it. Only suggestion for upgrade would be that the dishwasher is a bit wonky - falling open if you don't shut it with all your might - but it did not detract from our stay at all. Thanks Barbara and Paul for sharing your wonderful spot with us!

Paradise!

This was exactly what my husband and I needed. Upon entering the spanish style Casitas, you walk up the sidewalk through beautiful, colorful flowers and trees . This Casita did not disappoint! Oceanfront, where everywhere you look it's all heavenly blue! The house is seaside cottage done in soft soothing colors. Everything needed for a comfortable stay was here! Some of our favorites things were watching the sun set from our patio while sipping drinks and having appetizers. We also watched the sunrise and I saw some dolphins swimming in the ocean. I would highly recommend this gem of a place. Stroll on the beach or drive to happening Atlantic avenue bustling with restaurants, shops etc. We can't wait to come back! Thank you so much! While taking a slow drive on A1A we decided to park and take an ocean front walk to watch the beautiful morning sunrise. Curious as to what these little casitas were, we took a look at property and fell in love with it so bought the only one available at the time (casita #1). That was 2004 and we have enjoyed it ever since. Paul is a lawyer of 30+ years in Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Barbara a CPA. We have 3 grown daughters and loved spending time with our girls at the casita when they were younger and so happy we had those memories as they grew up so fast. We hope, if you book, you will experience the same joy and peace we do each time we go.

Why they chose this property

It is direct ocean front - the beach being just 16 steps from the front door. The resort style pool is also just steps from front door. It is a magical place!

What makes this property unique

Our casita is direct ocean front. No street to cross - beach only 16 steps from front door. Create memories with family and friends while listening to the ocean break on the sand and seagulls flying above. Also, on a windy day you can enjoy watching wind surfers ride the waves. The moon rises are just as spectacular as the sunrises and glisten beautifully at night on the ocean. Also, sit in the heated jacuzzi by day or night and have great conversations with your family and friends.
