We stay here for location. Had everything we needed. Host was very easy to get ahold of. TVs need work (queen room didn’t work and living room was in and out) but honestly it was a great stay. Would definitely stay here again. We love staying across from lido. This has been our second time staying in this condominium and everyone is very nice who stays there. Will keep coming back to this place. Can’t beat staying near st Armand’s.

Amazing rental - Brilliant location

We had a fantastic stay. The rental has everything you need - like a home from home. The sea views from the condo are amazing. We had a wonderful holiday.

It was fabulous. The condo was clean and convenient. The view was awesome. The convenience to the beach was perfect. If we were not moving jere in six weeks we would rent again next year. The owner was so nice and helpful. Thank you for a fabulous stay.

Sunsets are beautiful right outside your door!

Location is amazing! You can chose to walk to ocean side to watch the sunset in less than a minute or see it from the condo. The unit itself is dated, and could have been cleaner but very well stocked with everything you need for a perfect home away from home. It was a great month long retreat!

You can’t get a better location than this on Lido Key. The condo was well appointed with towels and kitchen items. It was clean and has plenty of space. We were a local stay and came off season so we were almost the only people in the complex. Overall our stay was fabulous. Weird ticky issues:1. The AC units don’t always run well- and fans had to be on most of the time to keep the room cool. This would be fine- except there was no way to turn the light off and keep the fan on in two rooms. So- it got warm at night. I tried to buy batteries for the fan remotes and that did not work. 2. There is a light on in the exterior walkways that stays on all night. Again- this would not be a problem - except the blinds in each room did not close enough to keep the light out. So- rooms never got fully dark or cool at night. The owners are extremely responsive and tried to help. There are just a couple updates that would make this condo a full 5. Otherwise it was awesome!

Thank you very much for your review and comments. We take all our guests input to heart. The bedroom A/C unit failed while you were staying and was replaced immediately. The fans remotes both need to be reset and a replaced which was also done. It was a pleasure talking with you during your stay. Pleasure hosting you and hope to see you in the future.

This was a nice unit, clean and mostly updated. The owner should spend a week there though. There are little annoyances that could be easily fixed making this a more desirable unit. Light switches that don’t work, too many remote controls setting around-3 for one TV and that just doesn’t make sense. TV’s that can’t access streaming services, no end tables to sit glasses on while relaxing. There was ONE wash cloth in the entire unit and the sheets in the master bedroom are too big and end up coming off while sleeping. The blinds are broken in every room, we had to close every individual slat at night by hand and are too small for the master window and can be seen through at night, so don’t change your clothes in the evening… the ceiling fan in the master bedroom Needs replaced, it makes so much noise that you can’t use it. The USB chargers installed on the nightstands were never plugged in, I had to remove the packaging on the plug and move the bed to plug in the ports. The dressers drawers open about 2 inches because they are not put together correctly. These things add up. For the money charged, these should be addressed. The pool is very nice and there were plenty of beach and bath towels for two people. The appliances worked fine as well. It would be nice to have a fan in the unit, since the AC doesn’t have a fan that works when the AC is running. The shower is nice.

The perfect and convenient location. The unit is great by the size but definitely needs TLC. AC in one bedroom is very old, loud and rusty. The beach chairs/umbrellas are also, rusty and old. The bathroom needs to be more clean, there is a mold in the shower cabin.

Beat location in Lido!

Excellent location, well kept facility, kitchen was recently updated, TV’s need updated, beds need replaced. Overall, great place to stay. Would definitely stay again.

Great Place by the Emerald Sea

We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation and staying in this cozy condo. Vickie is a great host and made sure we had everything we needed. The location of this condo is great for families and kids! The condo was perfect for our family of 6. We loved being able to walk across the road to the beach and being able to see the ocean from the front balcony. The pool provided great entertainment for our 4 boys and the grills beside the pool were a bonus. Thank you for allowing us to stay, we will definitely be back!

We take all our guests suggestions and comments seriously. We have since treated the unit twice we have a regular treatment service plan continuing. Just to clarify the pest you describe are Palmetto bugs which are everywhere in Florida. but can be controlled. I also hired a different cleaning crew. We want all our future guest experiences to be comfortabe and pleasant

Location, location, location

This is a well-equipped second floor condo overlooking the Gulf. It is less than a 10 minute walk to St. Armand's Circle, with lots of shops and restaurants. The beach is right across the road and there are beach chairs etc., for the use of guests. The complex has a very nice pool and overall it is good value for money for a family.

Very nice & clean accommodations. Wonderful location. Well maintained property, inclusive of pool area and onsite laundry facility. Beautiful white sand beach. Crystal clear water. Fabulous sunsets. Daily dolphin sightings. Manatee visits. No beach trash here. Easy, short walk to beautiful beach directly across the street. If driving is a need, ample beach parking is also located across from condo. Don't let "across street" deter you; the cross walk is steps away and I presume pedestrians have right of way -- autos always stopped. Vacationed in early October and had almost no traffic. Everything you need is furnished - household supplies & beach gear (chairs, umbrellas, small cooler, beach toys). Host was delightful to work with, and prompt on replies. Late arrival entry process was easy and flawless. All staff was courteous. Must take the short ride, or nice walk, to St. Armands Circle - wonderful choice of restaurants and boutiques. Shout out to Cha Cha Coconuts restaurant. If you like to check out surrounding areas like I do, this is the perfect location: 6 minutes to Sarasota proper, about 20 minutes to Siesta Key Beaches and others. St. Petersburg & Tampa is within an hours drive. Unless you are seeking the Ritz-Carlton, you will not be disappointed. Thank you Vicki, for the wonderful experience. I will return to this area, and this will be my first choice location.

Great Stay!

Walk across the street to the beach and enjoy the sunset in a beach chair provided by owners! Excellent location, comfortable two bedroom/one bathroom apartment on Lido Key. Very near St. Armand’s Circle. The unit was clean. We had everything we needed (bring quarters for laundry!). Pool on site. Air conditioned - wall units in each room. Comfortable mattress. Updated unit. Lovely sunrise and sunset view. Perfect for a couple or a family. We were here nine days and loved it! Hope to come again to The Dorset. Thanks so much!

Great place to rent for some of my adult children and grand babies to stay right down the street from my condo! Great view of the gulf and great beach access right across the street! Very convenient location!

Short walk to beach across the street

The unit was nice. Everyone enjoyed it. It had everything you would need. We did find the mattress uncomfortable (bedroom with door to the outside) but everything else was great. The pool is out the back door and was very clean. It did not even have a lot of people using it. The laundry room was a short walk from the unit but had several washers and dryers (bring quarters). There were 6 of us so the 1 bathroom was difficult at times but we made it work. Thank you Vicki and Ernie.

Great stay

It was easy renting this property and it had a nice location. Had what we needed. That also had a great pool and a clean outside of the building. Though the room wasn’t really clean overall we had a nice stay.
