Vue imprenable sur la montagne sur un parcours de golf pittoresque dans la région viticole de la vallée de Yadkin

Retraite confortable et calme Ă  flanc de montagne surplombant la Blue Ridge Parkway. DĂ©tendez-vous prĂšs du feu et regardez le soleil se coucher avec un verre de vin de l'un des nombreux vignobles locaux. Il y en a environ 30 dans les 30 miles. De la maison, il n'y a que 5 km jusqu'Ă  l'entrĂ©e arriĂšre de Stone Mountain State Park, oĂč vous pouvez faire de la randonnĂ©e sur une variĂ©tĂ© de sentiers, l'un menant au sommet du dĂŽme de granit, plusieurs menant Ă  de belles cascades. Profitez d'une partie de golf de montagne au Stone Mountain Resort Golf Club. La maison se trouve juste au-dessus du 9e tee dans la communautĂ© de Greenstreet Mountain.
Nous avons amenĂ© l'extĂ©rieur avec d'immenses fenĂȘtres pour admirer la vue sur les montagnes Blue Ridge. Salon confortable avec plafond voĂ»tĂ©, foyer en pierre de Caroline du Nord avec insert Ă  gaz ventilĂ©. Cuisine entiĂšrement Ă©quipĂ©e avec des siĂšges pour 6 Ă  8 personnes. Une chambre principale Ă  l'Ă©tage (queen) et deux en bas (une avec grand lit l'autre avec deux lits jumeaux). Salle de bain complĂšte Ă  chaque niveau. Grande salle grillagĂ©e avec ventilateur et terrasse spacieuse hors du salon, les deux ont vue sur la montagne. Grande zone de foyer avec lit de roche, bordure en pierre et chaises Adirondack. Petit patio hors de la salle grillagĂ©e avec des siĂšges et un barbecue Ă  gaz Weber (propane fourni).

Dawn responded Immediately to all of our questions prior to our visit. The kitchen is incredibly well stocked with every spice you could imagine; even flour and sugar. The view from the deck is fantastic if somewhat limited by tree foliage on one side. Great for sunset lovers. The entire panorama is visible from the back yard. The location is very private - no neighbors on either side. Wildlife abounds!

Wonderful house

We had a wonderful stay! The house was perfect, loved sitting on the top deck with coffee in morning. We got to see deer everywhere! Very nice golf course. Walking distance to the club house. Very close to the Stone Mountain state park. We will definitely rent again!

Review of stay

Our visit in Traphill at Dawn’s home, was absolutely gorgeous! The home was beautiful and the views of the blue ridge mountains was breathtaking. Great home, and wonderful vacation spot. The area is close to hiking and Stone Mountain Park! I highly recommend this home and would definitely stay again.

Perfect spot for a golf weekend with the guys

Sitting right above the 9th tee box on Stone Mountain Golf Club, it was the perfect spot for our group of golf nuts. Everyone in the group loved the house and had an amazing time. And it's so close to the clubhouse that the golf course let us hold on to our carts for the weekend for transportation to and from the course each day. We hadn't even checked out before the group had already starting talking about staying here again. We can't wait!

Fantasic Family Vacation

Dawn deserves every great review she has received....The house is very comfortable, sparkling clean and is equipped with everything a guest might need.......... even a back scratcher :). Our family of 5 adults enjoyed hiking 3 trails with beautiful waterfalls and vistas, visiting 4 local wineries and attending the Elkin Big Band concert, a fund raiser for the music school in Elkin. We are sure the many deer in the neighborhood are a nuisance to the residents, but we enjoyed watching them, especially the babies while relaxing on one of the two porches. Thank you very much Dawn, your vacation home is very inviting :)..........

Amazing Property with Breathtaking Views

We had a girl's trip for the Yadkin Valley Wine Festival this past weekend and this property was perfect! The beds were very comfy, and the outdoor spaces were great as there was a huge open deck upstairs and a screened in patio downstairs. Both of these areas offered AHHHMAZING views of the mountains and a gorgeous sunset! There's also a lounge downstairs that had a fridge and even more seating. We didn't get a chance to enjoy the fire pit, but it was a beautiful setting! This place is a little piece of heaven, and we can't wait to visit again! p.s. look up Yadkin Wine Shuttle and let Rufus take care of your transportation to the wineries! He is awesome!

Ever Changing View

Very nice place to relax and enjoy the views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The view changes based on the time of the day and the weather. We were there during leaf off (April). The view we observed will be blocked a bit by trees with leaves. The drive down seems shorter than the ride up. It's paved pretty much right to the driveway. We brought a motorcycle trailer and the driveway clearance was a few inches in/out...be warned on this minor obstacle to a wonderful location.

Another perfect stay

I had a second delightful stay at this house in mid-March. Dawn is an extraordinary host; you can feel the love she pours into hosting. She's thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. I wouldn't be surprised if she managed to coordinate the dusting of snow we woke up to -- that provided an idyllic setting for our leisurely breakfast, but magically disappeared before we ventured out for the day. We had a wonderful stay. We exhausted ourselves climbing the 30-million-year-old granite dome at the park. We made s'mores under a star-filled sky. We shared a meal cooked in a ridiculously equipped kitchen. We greeted a deer family who wandered into the back yard. We visited Elkin for a laugh-filled wine tasting and meal. We made tons of lasting memories. I look forward to sharing Dawn's lovely home and mmy favorite hike at Stone Mountain with more friends and family in the future!

Remarkable home!

Our time at Dawn and Paul's home was outstanding. We arrived to find their home immaculate and well appointed. All you truly need is your personal items, and food & beverages. Add to this all of their special touches!! They have truly thought of everything. Then there is the view and so many outdoor spaces to enjoy it. Bad weather was anticipated our first night there, and Dawn called to give us an update. We were lucky to see deer daily and even some coyotes on the golf course. The house has plenty of space and is close to everything. We went to the area to visit some of the wineries, and had our pick. Thanks for making us feel so welcome, and for sharing your wonderful home with us. For those looking for an amazing place to unwind and enjoy the mountain spirit, you will not be disappointed with this home!! We hope to return soon...The Beasley's and The Wilson's

Great Sportsman's Getaway

Here's all you need to know: I took four friends with me to this house and promised a great golfing/fishing excursion. Their first question when it was over? "Can we come back again next year?" We played what we all agreed was the most scenic course we'd even been on (Olde Beau, about a 15-20 minute drive). And when we weren't golfing we were fishing Stone Mountain State Park (about a 5-minute drive). Final tally: 97 trout including a native 18-inch brown. (They stock the stream and it's catch-and-release until June 1 but we're C&R guys anyway. NOTE: Make sure you're licensed. We received visits from the ranger 3 of the 4 days. As for the house -- outstanding. Awesome mountain views (and sunsets). Saw deer from the deck. Campfire friendly on stillish nights. Wonderful rustic charm to the place that even slugs like us could appreciate!! We are five grown men and it was a very, very comfortable fit. And all essentials were on site. Highly recommend a visit to the country store at the foot of the resort. Pull up a porch rocker and crack open a cold bottle of A&W. Heaven after a day on the stream.

Mountain retreat

Gorgeous mountain views, perfect for sunset watching on back deck. Super convenient to Stone Mountain hiking trails and fly fishing. Quet, peaceful, relaxing, cozy, and comfy.
