Nice home with great location

The home was quite nice. The main home is a 2 bedroom 1 bath. The rear "out building" has a bedroom with tge 2nd bathroom. The large covered area adjacent to the outbuilding was great for lounging. Good restaurants are within walking distance (we love to walk) and the downtown is an easy drive. Would recommend.

Great Place in Central Location!

I rented this home for my husband and an employee who had a job in Corpus. Owner was extremely easy to work with and went out of her way to accommodate. Check in was very easy, home was clean and neatly appointed. Home is located in a central area with shops, eateries, or big box stores only minutes away (as well as the beach)! The yard was great for our pups when i drove in to stay for the Thanksgiving holiday. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a comfortable stay for vacation or otherwise!looking for a ni

Never Again

When we found the location, we thought there must be a mistake! The yard had not been attended to for the entire summer - weeds everywhere were 2' high. The front door was unlocked and there were women's clothes in the dresser in one of the bedrooms. The wifi didn't work - given incorrect code. Total nightmare. Worst place we ever stayed. Property manager was unhelpful in answering questions before we arrived. Never use a Verbo with a property mgr ever again either!

Family Vacation

We really enjoyed Sandy Shores. The home met the needs of our family wonderfully. Kudos to the interior decorator. The home was so cozy love the beachy vibe! Our host was great, she answered all of our questions. Never had to wait on a return call she picked up right away. Having the second bathroom in the detached third bedroom came in handy. The only downer for us was the yard hadn’t been mowed. The grass was a bit high. The smoke detector needs a new battery. Overall, it was a great experience, would definitely recommend this property, we would stay here again.

Recommend but read comments

Pros: cute, clean, spacious, easy access to Ocean Drive, close to grocery store, washer/dryer, large driveway for parking. Cons: wiFii not working, no linens available for futon or air mattress, no hand soap in restroom, road noise (recommend earplugs and/or sound machine). I emailed questions to the contact host prior to arrival and they never responded. Bring insect repellent due to mosquitoes in the back patio.

Little nuisance come out at night

House can be deceiving. Outside looks outdated, you walk in and decorations are well put and makes house feel cozy, but then you notice dead bugs on the floor and begin to see the half done home improvement. At night cockroaches will come out, yuck!!! I'm sorry as much as I wanted to rate this stay higher, I cant.

Very cute house

Very quiet neighborhood Close to N Padre beaches & in town restaurants. Owners very responsive to quickly handle issues. Husband & I & our adult daughter found the house full of character & look forward to staying there again. Parking inside fence large enough to park boat.

Great Place Near the Beach

This property is a great location. While you aren't on the beach it is very close. Most of the attractions in town are close. The property itself is very neat and clean. The main house is an older house and has the charm of wood floors and tall ceilings. The kitchen is large enough to cook in comfortably and well stocked with kitchen utensils. A large table in the dining room sits 6 but there are extra chairs that can be moved to seat more. I appreciated ceiling fans in the rooms. The bathroom has been updated and was nice. The outside building is a nice little extra space. It has it's own bathroom and shower. There is a twin bed and a futon. There is a window AC in this space. The patio is nice. There is a fan and lights so you can sit out at any time of the day. Overall it was a great place to stay. It's a rental so there are some things that could be replaced but it doesn't take away from the property at all. The next time we go to Corpus I plan on staying here again.

Enjoyed our stay and would stay again. Versatile indoor and outdoor spaces. Very comfortable beds and pillows. Tidy well kept older home. Owner was very responsive to our inquiries. Bring an extra long cable if you want to charge your phone on your bedside table. We were glad that we bought a small heater/fan for white noise.

Relaxing n Quiet

The family really loved this quiet and relaxing 3 br home. Close to the beach front and public parks. The separate 3rd bedroom was a plus, where teens can play games or watch movies without the loud noise in the main house. We will definitely rent again. 😊

This place was awesome!!

Lots of charm

The house is quaint with beautiful doors and doorknobs. The extra bedroom outside was great for getting away from the grandchildren. The kitchen is fully stocked. The stove and refrigerator are great. We cooked most of our meals. No hot pads. The house was clean but things that are not used often were sticky. We enjoyed our stay.

Home away from home

The home was stocked with essentials. And the backyard was a huge plus and the family enjoyed sitting out there eating and watching the kids play. Note that the third bedroom/game room is detached. Great stay.

Could be better

With more TLC this place could be so much better. The listing showed a Keurig coffee maker on the kitchen counter so we brought our K-cups along with us. We arrived and no Keurig so had to go out and buy coffee. The listing said that toiletries were provided but there wasn’t even a travel size bar of soap in the bathroom. The kitchen dish sponge was very old and gross. The hand soap at the kitchen sink was watered down. 95% of the outlets in the house are two-prong which would have been nice to know beforehand as we all had laptops with work to do, but it was difficult to charge them and work at the same time. The bay window curtains need to be more substantial, I felt like I was living in a fishbowl because people could see through from the street at night. A couple of the bath towels are torn and need to be replaced and there need to be more hand towels and wash towels. There’s only one single wash towel in the house. Also, not that we were planning to go to the beach in December, but when your listing is billed as a “beach house” being two blocks from the beach, and insinuates beach access, which is not the case, it’s a bit concerning. There’s no way to access the beach from a walking distance from the house.
