Beautiful and secluded
We were looking for a place to get away. This place was perfect. We enjoyed beautiful scenery away from highway noises. The cabin was a nice size for our large family and had everything we needed.
Great place in almost wilderness.
This house/cabin is homey, comfortable, and easy to live in like a cabin but with all the amenities of a house in town. The grounds around the cabin are a constant reminder of the beauty of a place named the natural state. From the mountain vistas to the rock outcroppings to the quiet nights, it is exactly what you would expect in this part of the country. Convenience of nearby towns for dining or resupplying is a plus. Only stayed for a few days but wish we'd been there far longer. Maybe next time.
One of the most memorable vacations we’ve ever enjoyed!
This was an amazing experience for our family. We loved hiking up to the bluffs, exploring the cave, watching the sunrise and sunsets, having s’mores around the campfire and hiking in the woods taking in the amazing sounds. The cabin was so warm and comfortable. We look forward to coming back to enjoy another season soon!
House on the rock was a great spot
I would come back. The house had all that we needed; great cook ware, indoor or outdoor eating optionS, great location relative to activity, peace and quiet, and comfortable sleeping arrangements. Thanks Steve!
It was a wonderful stay. I appreciate the whole property. We saw the Milky Way and shooting stars. I appreciate the thoughtfulness from Steve by providing all the amenities, dishes, toilet paper etc. It made the stay very easy and there was nothing to worry about. Highly recommended. We will definitely be back.
About Steve Alford
My name is Steve Alford. I have lived in Memphis all my life but have always had a presence in Arkansas. I have spent many days on Lake Hamilton in Hot Springs. I fell in love with Northwest Arkansas and would ride my motorcycle in the area a couple of times a year. I also made a yearly cabin trip to the area in the fall. That is where I saw and fell in love with House on the Rock.
Steve Alford purchased this Cabin in 2015
What makes this Cabin unique
Most guests have fun just exploring the property and it's unique features. Enjoy the Rock Bluff and Cave on the property. Directly across the street are the White River views and City Rock Bluff. one of the most photographed places in Arkansas. The elevated screened patio has two doggy doors and a beautiful view of the property.
