Quiet country road surrounded by lovely homes on big blocks. Much nicer than staying in Horsham , a short drive for supplies and dinning out at the restaurants Mel recommended.
Welcoming arrival - soft music was playing and the house was warm. The cottage was as cosy as expected and the surrounds were quiet and relaxing. Our host was more than helpful and responded quickly. An open fireplace provided further charm for our stay with the host providing the firewood. Very much enjoyed our relaxing holiday with this host.
Beautiful quiet location out of town. Very clean and inviting. Very compact kitchen, with limited utensils and very tiny fridge. Warm and cosy, with a pretty garden front and back - a perfect place to relax and read, listen to the birds or admire the clouds and trees. Our host was very responsive through email.
We booked in a few days before our stay. From my very first communication with Mel to the last was incredibly helpful and hospitable. At the last minute we requested to stay an extra night as we were visiting family, our trip was quite long and we had our young children with us. This was no problem at all.
The property itself is full of charm with every comfort. The heating was excellent for those few cold nights and the amenities were all we needed.
We highly recommend this property, for a small group of adults to a family of any age.
We will definitely be rebooking for our next trip and would like to thank our host again for such wonderful and professional hospitality. 5/5
Rustic charm including squeaky floorboards, a comfortable 2 night stay.
Primrose Cottage is a relaxing and comfortable accommodation in a quiet location. We used it as part of our Silo Art Trail and glad we did as much better than a standard motel room or budget cabin in a caravan park. Great communication with owner Melissa and a minor issue was resolved without fuss. History of the cottage and suggested things to do / visit was interesting wall art. Found the bed comfortable with good amenities provided with our only suggestions of maybe a cheese grater, recycling bin and possible a larger fridge to be able to stand up milk and larger bottles. Both of us loved our stay and will recommend Primrose Cottage to all our family and friends when heading towards Horsham.
Mel was marvelously prompt and positive in her communications. Our stay coincided with an unexpected COVID lockdown. The property was perfect and Mel ensured that we had everything that we might need. Highly recommended!
Charming mud brick cottage (loved the pink wall in the bedroom). Lovely courtyard at the back. Spotlessly clean. Average bathroom. Could have been improved by better lighting (eg, bedside lamp, lamp in main room), more comfy sofa, bit more in the way of communication. But very nice overall.
A welcoming, cosy cottage which encompassed the charm of its era and the more contemporary needs of its visitor. The location was ideal, close enough to the town for convenience but distant enough to create a wonderfully charming retreat. It did not take us long before we started calling it home, despite only the few days we spent there. Truly a lovely accommodation.
The cottage is indeed tastefully renovated. We enjoyed the fireplace and the little backyard a lot. The complimentary bottle of wine on arrival was a really nice touch as well.
The only down side was the cold, it was hard to keep the place warm - especially the bathroom.
Would love to come back during spring or summer!
Gorgeous little place to enjoy fo a couple of nights whilst visiting family in Haven , the front door didn't lock for us and the tv remote didn't work, otherwise we would stay there again.
This property, although the building is old the inside renovation is new. It is a compact, cosy, cottage most suited for 4 people. The host was helpful and we received a complimentary bottle of wine and starter tea, coffee, milk and sugar. the floor boards creaked when walked on and the fridge was small, but otherwise very good facilities.
