About the property

1/1 canal front bicycle, canoe, walk to town or golf cart screen porch, patio

Please note that holidays and events require three night minimum.

Ready to take a VACATION? Ground level apartment with plenty of southern exposure, on the canal. You can laze away your days on the screen porch, or get your daily dose of sunshine on the patio in either the Adirondack chairs or the hammock, and remember to slow down and enjoy LIFE again.

Pecky cypress walls and tile floors keep the home cool and comfortable, or step onto the screen porch for those salt laden breezes wafting over the salt marshes. OR, step out to the patio and enjoy the full sense laden sights, smells and sounds of being on the water, with eagles, ospreys, cormorants soaring diving, wafting above you. We include a canoe so you can really enjoy the Cedar Key life, put in at the property and paddle to Osprey Cove and watch redfish jumping, white pelicans floating along, or ospreys diving for breakfast and dinner. At the end of the day, retire to the porch and watch the sunsets as the house has a straight west view down the canal.

More open water is at the other end of the canal, you can paddle into Goose Cove, and see the glorious views of Atsena Otie, Seahorse Key, or if you are feeling adventurous, paddle to North Key for one of the best beaches in ALL of Florida.

We are one mile to some of the finest restaurants in Florida, from the Island Hotel, Island Room at Cedar Cove, both EXCELLENT dinner choices, less than one mile to Annie's Cafe and Kona Joes, breakfast or lunch choices, or just a short jaunt further, the restaurants along Dock Street, including Steamers, Away from the World Cafe, Brian's Big Deck and Raw Bar and the Seabreeze. Three smaller restaurants are downtown, 1842 Mercantile and Holey Moley, both doing excellent sandwiches, pastries, coffee and desserts. Tony's Seafood, is also downtown, you can eat here, have it shipped home, or find out which stores near you carry their WORLD FAMOUS clam chowder. The Blue Desert Cafe is renown for pasta dishes and pizzas, and it is only 1.2 miles from the house.

The house is fully equipped for cooking in, and you can purchase FRESH seafood from Southern Cross, located at #3 bridge, 1.5 miles, or at Robinson's Seafood, 9 miles from the house. Want to catch your own? We provide crab traps for you.

We are centrally located to ALL Cedar Key has to offer, yet just far enough off the beaten track to enjoy your privacy.

The house is a virtual refuge with big screen TV, wireless internet, and we do have Roku and NetFlix and for your listening pleasure, Pandora.

Equipped with sofas and futons, we can accommodate up to four people, with parking for two cars.

Why Jennie Pinto chose Florida North Central

This house is ideally located on the canal, offers GREAT sunset views and fantastic water access. It has end of the street privacy, in a quiet neighborhood and you have to LOVE those pecky cypress walls.

What makes this apartment unique

Being right on the canal, you can be fishing before you get fully untied from the dock, and those sunsets can not be beat.

Perfect for us!

  • 4 of 5

It was the best choice for us. We loved having the canal out back with easy access at high tide to the marsh for canoeing, kayaking and fishing. We were close enough to downtown that we could drive the golf cart on back roads to downtown for ice cream and watching the sunset from the pier. We rqeally appreciated being able to use their canoe and golf cart without extra expense. The kitchen had everything we needed. We didn't hang out outside a lot because of bugs. The owner kept to himself and It was mostly very quiet. It was just what we needed!

Owner's Response: Thank you Jeanne! We enjoyed having you as a guest, and please return! The canal is great at high tide, when you can just paddle into the marsh and enjoy the bird life! As you said, everything is just a whisper away, downtown, ice cream, sunsets, bird watching! Can't do much about the bugs, but the screen porch does give you the view without the gnats. We also keep tiki and table top citronella "torches" on the patio for your use. Let us know if we are running short and we'll replace the fuel. Hurry back!

Go for the peaceful and friendly getaway.

  • 5 of 5

Everything was as described, and better. The bed was comfy, the screened porch was great for enjoying the sound of the palms and the sea birds. We used the golf cart to explore the island, from end to end. Everyone in this place is friendly and welcoming. If you are looking for miami vibes, don't go to cedar key, you will find it too peaceful and old fashioned. Oh! And no stop lights in town. We will be back! And thanks again nature coast realty, for your superb service.

A wonderful, relaxing place on Cedar Key!

  • 5 of 5

We had a very relaxing stay at Dreamscape and plan on going back again! One of our favorite thing was using the golf cart to get around the island - it made our days and nights so island (is that a word?) The relaxing chairs on the back patio were excellent for sunbathing and star gazing at night. We also liked catching crabs off the back sea wall! Thank you, Joe for a great place to stay on Cedar Key!

Owner's Response: So glad you enjoyed your stay!!!! We enjoyed having you. Please come back again SOON. That back patio is great! Most guests live out there and just sleep in the house. A glass of wine, an easy chair, and crab traps make for a great day, and as you said, at night one can star gaze. Perfect relaxation space!
