Welcome to Ocean Vistas at Sand Castle Village by KEES Vacations!

Imagine starting your day by gazing at ocean views, watching the dolphins jump out of the blue Atlantic water, or being able to walk out onto the deck and see mesmerizing views of the sandy beach and blue ocean. At Ocean Vistas, this experience awaits to create a perfect vacation on the Outer Banks.

Aptly named, Ocean Vistas at Sand Castle Village in Kill Devil Hills will provide you the tranquil sights and sounds of crashing waves and pelicans flying by without having to leave your room. A charming one-level, 2-bedroom, 2 bath impeccably renovated penthouse condominium located directly on the oceanfront, this vacation property boasts unique decor, soothing colors and comfortable furniture.

Enjoy the King En Suite features a sliding glass door that opens to your own private deck. The second bedroom features Two Twin beds. There is a full bathroom in the hall with a stand-up shower. Be sure to check out the beautiful tile shower and nook with stack washer/dryer and storage cupboards.

The great room features cozy furniture and a flat screen TV. A sleeper sofa provides an additional sleeping option. Window side dining space accompanies the kitchen, bar and living area. The kitchen, outfitted with granite countertops and space saving stainless appliances, is fully equipped for all your needs. Cork flooring, soft palettes and beadboard wainscoting blend modern and rustic moods. High ceilings create an airy feel and plantation blinds filter sunlight. Two additional oceanfront decks feature plenty of seating with prime vantage points to take in the stunning views of Kill Devil Hills and sunset views of the Wright Brothers National Monument.

The community of Sand Castle Village provides a pool, park-style grill and dedicated beach path to take advantage of the nearby seashore.

This property has 2 parking spots for guests.

**Private outdoor community pools and/or waterpark play areas are available, weather permitting, beginning on Memorial Day and close after Labor Day. Please know that pool operating dates are subject to change at any point, for any reason.**

Check-In begins at 4pm. Your keyless entry code will begin granting access at this time.
Check-Out is 10am.

lovely visit

Beautiful view of the ocean. Blissfully quiet in the off-season. Plenty of parking. Just a little confusing to figure out which condo was ours at first because the numbers were only on the doors, not anywhere on the exterior of the building.

Perfect spot!

We really enjoyed our stay and we're glad we got a top floor unit for the best beach, sunrise, and sunset views. Place was clean and had everything we needed. Out of season the beach was pretty quiet.

The condo and location were all we could ask for and as advertised. We did not know there was construction at the site next door. On arrival an alarm was going off at the construction site for several hours - thankfully it stopped before bedtime. Starting Monday we were not able to listened to the ocean and have coffee on the deck as construction started at 7 and ended at 7. A disclaimer and discount should have been listed for the property.

Kill devil hills

Weather was great. Condo was perfect location and size for what we were looking for. Check in was a little confusing due to condo had no name or identifying marks from the rental agreement. Able to use photos to find the correct condo. Would definitely stay there again.

Excellent Location, Beautiful View

We truly enjoyed our stay here. The place was in good repair, clean, and comfortable. We enjoyed the deck area with it's own spiral staircase that went down to the easy beach access. Be sure to bring your own TP, and garbage bags because they only give you 1 per can/bathroom, even if you're staying a full week. Bring some extra towels too, unless you want to reuse the same one all week. The only complaint I have is that the soap dispensers did not work. We would definitely stay there again.

Relaxing Weekend in Kill Devil Hills, NC

We enjoyed a great weekend at this condo in the Outer Banks, North Carolina. We rented the top floor unit -- great views of the beach and also the Wright Memorial. The unit was nicely decorated, the kitchen was fully stocked with utensils/plates/etc., the beds were comfy and we appreciated that linens/towels were provided. Note -- there are a lot of steps (50+) which might be hard for some folks to navigate. We would definitely consider renting this unit again.

Great views!!

Condo was great, amazing views the only issue was the internet didn’t work. I texted and called I was told they had a ticket open but not sure when someone would be out. They didn’t come out before we left.

Great condo with a gorgeous view

We had a great visit to Kill Devil Hills and enjoyed the condo and it's gorgeous oceanfront view! It was mostly very clean, although we did find hair in one of the shower drains and the deck had several cigarette butts on the floor. Otherwise, the condo was comfortable and well appointed and a question we had at check-in was promptly answered by the property manager even though it was after business hours. We would recommend that the owner either install a Roku or other streaming device or cable as we could not figure out the tv. There is a public beach access and a rather shabby-looking motel next door to the condo and both of those areas got loud at night. Our visit was before the very busy season, so I'd expect things to be pretty lively there during the height of the summer. The parking lots and the outdoor walkways at the motel were also super brightly lit, which did detract somewhat from the beach view in the evening. We would rent here again, though.

Birthday vaca

Beautiful view and location for us having never been to the OBX before. Husband has had ankle replacement and had trouble climbing to third floor. We may have missed in the property description that there was not an elevator. Pool was nice. Only issues, which were minor, was large cleaning bags of linens were left outside our door (both clean and dirty). We notified management, brought them inside but no one ever came to pick them up so they took up space to open front door during stay. We had trouble figuring out the TV and left a couple messages with no reply. Had a couple of the large palmetto bugs in the condo to chase down. Small issues when compared to the beautiful views and amenities.

Should be a 5 Star Property

Overall, our family of 4 with 2 kids had a great time. This property deserves a 5 star review and rating based off of the great location and views, well maintained unit, cleanliness and comfort provided. One glaring issue significantly drops the experience and rating unfortunately. The internet provided was almost unusable in most instances due to it being unbelievably slow, constant buffering issues and just plain not loading. We tried resetting the router and WiFI ourselves, but it did not help. We contacted KEES and they stated a work order was made, but no one ever came out. When a property advertises internet on their listing, a properly working internet is expected. We came with this in mind, having work related items to handle, which we could not. Our kids had issues with their devices and they couldn’t enjoy their quiet time after a day on the beach or excursions. We couldn’t properly surf the internet without constant buffering and waiting. KEES, the owners and potential renters need to be made aware so this does not happen to anyone else. Overall, everything else was spectacular and with a smooth internet this unit is a 5 star property.

Great stay

Fabulous location right on the beach. Property well represented in the listing. Only complaint is we called maintenance to fix a nonworking GFI outlet in the master bath and no one ever showed. We just worked around it. Will definitely stay here again!

Boys weekend fishing trip

This is a very nice place. The beach is 100 yards away, maybe less. The layout of the unit and furnishings are very comfortable. 3 Tvs make nights and rainy days easier. But my favorite feature is the view of the Wright Brothers monument at sundown. WOW!

Nice Place

We had 2 nights here and enjoyed the balcony view of the ocean along with direct access to the beach. This condo is bare bones so bring everything with you: extra blanket, hair dryers, condiments, fire stick, etc. The LR furniture could be more comfortable. Housekeeping had tried to make a king bed with 2 full fitted sheets! After a call, this was remedied. Kees Vacation OBX doesn’t respond to emails but will quickly respond when called directly.

Pros, everything we wanted. Cons, poor communication.

This property fitted our needs perfectly. Central location, private beach access, great size for 2 people and awesome views. All this was somewhat dimmed when the email we were supposed to receive 24 hrs to arrival was never received (it contained the security key code) and a call had to be made. After a short time on hold, talked to a woman who definitely gave the feeling this was an interruption. Email was received, and we went on with our vacation. Also, no one ever measures up to my cleanliness in any rental. It was clean, but upon adjusting blinds I found a makeup/acne pad on a windowsill! Ugh!
