The unit itself is quite outdated and needs some improvements. It is well equipped for a comfortable stay. But the beds are old, the bathroom and kitchen outdated. The lounges are not overly nice to sit on.We will happily come back to the Cove apartments but will stay in another unit.

Beach paradise

Reviewer Comments: Unit 1 just a lovely stroll from beautiful beach with bike/footpath along length of Carrickalinga to Normanville Beach.My only problem was musty smell from being closed and bit cold to keep open. Nice drives close to Sellicks Beach Buddhist site plus also Victor harbor. Glacier Rock with Beiscious home-made meals worth trip ( book table). Tried to see waterfalls on dirt track out of Normanville but alas they were closed in week we were there.

Relaxing, watching and walking the beach

Reviewer Comments: Very quiet area and appreciated the new curtains a real plus in main bedroom. Lovely view from the window of the big hill. Enjoyed the 'maggie' that tapped on our window enquiring if "breakfast" was available!! We liked that there was no one in the attached room as there is not enough sound insulation. Previous time the man's voice was clearly heard. Overall a very good set up. It was clean. Some windows looking at the back needed washing. Good bathroom, with the new toilet.

Great pool but unit had much to improve on.

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: When we arrived for our three night stay the fridge was not cold enough to safely store our food. Being a Friday night nothing could be done and had no option for the fridge to be fixed or replaced. Also the first night we discovered the toilet was not draining properly when flushed. A plumber was contacted and this fixed on the Saturday. The pool and spa area was great. The gardens around the unit was quite bushy and overgrown with a big sign on the fridge warning that snakes has been sighted in the area I think the gardens and areas could be changed to not attract snakes so close to the house. The inside of our unit was quite dated and need to some updating. Wobbly cupboard handles chipped wood and stained carpet. The cooking pots and pans were not in good shape. All non stick pans had the non stick coating coming off and didn’t look safe to use. The unit has great potential and is in a good location close to the beach.

We left it cleaner than we found it and we were charged for a cleaning fee.There was no toaster to be found. The air conditioner was useless over the hot days we were there.

November holiday that felt like a winter holiday!!

Reviewer Comments: Thank goodness the holiday home was comfortable because the weather was so bad we spent a lot of time in it, out of the very stormy weather. It was the weekend Adelaide lost power everywhere!The aircon needs a service tho, we had trouble getting warm.A kangaroo hopped up the rd and stayed eating our lawn for 3/4 hr on Friday evening!!

The old fashion plastic curtain around the shower was annoying with clinging to you. The 3 seater lounge chair sags in the middle so it is hard to get in/out off, and when you do sit you lean towards the middle, which is very uncomfortable. Other than those 2 issues it was a nice place and well located.
