About Christopher Eckart
Brian and Chris Eckart (brothers) have lived in the area for several years and love camping in their motor homes. Both own vintage campers that they live in as well on the adjacent property to cabin when in town. When they discovered this land it had a magic that they just had to share. After much hard work they created a fun, beautiful, and relaxing refuge from the busy world. Both are semi retired. Brian is an artist with his art on display and for sale throughout the cabin. Chris is the entertainment director and the better looking of the two.

We stayed for a week at the cabin, and had a wonderful time. The location is perfect, only about 15 minutes from Asheville and only 10 or so minutes from Black Mountain. I'm not big on crowds, so after a day at Biltmore, it's nice to get away to the solitude of this place - so peaceful! The cabin is also convenient to Chimney Rock and Catawba Falls, which were both spectacular! When our adventuring was done, we enjoyed the relaxing sounds of the creek that runs through the property. We were pleasantly surprised by a nearby hiking trail that made morning walks with our dog very convenient. Magic, our enthusiastic Labrador, also made some pup friends and enjoyed running along the creek gathering up sticks. The kids enjoyed crossing the creek to the bamboo forest, and made friends with the children staying next door. Wifi was very good on the property - we brought our Roku device, and it plugged easily into the TV so that we could watch movies. There was also a large stack of DVDs in case you want a quiet "movie night". We had last minute friends in the area that wanted to visit, and Chris was a very gracious host. We will definitely make this cabin our preferred place to stay when we are back in the area!
The cabin was quaint and comfortable. Our kids six and two loved the creek, hiking and the bamboo forest. The cabin feels secluded but close to everything. Chris one on the owners was more than helpful. We will definitely visit again.
Cute Country Cabin ... with all the amenities!
We had an amazing Christmas in this cozy, comfortable oasis. We had plenty of space for three adults and three kids to spread out. The natural surroundings are lovely, and the house itself was perfect for us. We especially appreciated the well-stocked kitchen with an ample supply and selection of dishes, cooking equipment and appliances. The owners (who might be the nicest people in the world) really thought of everything including the little things like lots of outlets, plenty of extra linens, and everything down to the last light bulb in perfect working order. They really care about the house and taking care of their guests! We hope to visit here again!! A++++++
Casual and comfortable cabin
For our family of three adults and two little children, the cabin is a nice place to stay and play, offering privacy and peace and quiet. A good getaway, off the beaten track --- but only about a ten minute drive to I 40 which conveniently takes you wherever you want to explore. A few quiet places inside and outside where you can read or talk. Clean. Thoughtfully planned hospitality. Artwork by one of the owners brightens this creek-side cabin.
The most amazing combination of relaxation and centrality to all of Asheville's offerings!
The cabin is beautiful and spacious, in such a calm, peaceful location. We immediately felt right at home. Our entire family, from Grandparents to toddler loved the stay, there was absolutely something for everyone. The walking trail is wonderful, coffee on the screened in porch in the morning and a beer on the porch in the evening is perfection. The creek and lush green surroundings provide such a relaxing back drop for your stay, I didn't want to go home! We will most definitely be back!
Great place to relax - expectations exceeded!
We really enjoyed our stay here. We arrived late in the evening to a cabin that is well stocked with everything we needed and then some. The owner, Chris, made sure we were comfortable and that everything was meeting our expectations. We look forward to returning.
