Come try a stay at Totem House, a five-bedroom retreat to help you get away from your routine on the wide, sandy beach at Tierra Del Mar, just north of Pacific City. With two living areas and a second kitchen, Totem House is more than comfortable for 9 and makes it easy to invite family and friends to join you for relaxing fun at the beach. Downstairs the kids will flip for the fun filled bonus room with TV/DVD, an impressive DVD library and board game collection, a foosball table and lots of seating for family togetherness. The adjoining kitchenette can keep them happily supplied with snacks. Upstairs, a giant wooden totem oversees the living/dining room and points out to the amazing ocean view to the west. Views of Haystack Rock to the south and Tillamook Head to the north join up miles of sandy beach with the endless Pacific meeting the sky. You can cozy up to the electric fireplace and watch TV, enjoy a meal at the dining table or putter in the fully equipped kitchen. Or head out the sliding doors to the wrap-around deck with its built-in picnic table and walk a few feet to a trail through dune grass to the beach. Your Tierra del Mar location puts you minutes away from a grocery store or Pacific City’s Pelican Pub—or drive north to the dunes at Sandlake, Cape Lookout, Oceanside and many other unique destinations on the north coast. For the best in laid-back fun with easy access to the beach, book this beauty!

Comfortable beach vibes!

The house was right on the beach with great views. The 5 bedrooms easily accommodated our party of 7 adults. The house has a worn, comfortable vibe, and was clean and well appointed. The location felt remote, which provided the peace and quiet we were looking for.

We live this location. The views and beach access were wonderful. We stayed in one of the uostairs bedrooms and was very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed and the home was very clean. The beach is the backyard. We loved our stay and would definately stay again.

Beautiful View, comfortable. It can use some updating and fixing of blinds in bedrooms because we had to put a blanket over the sliding door in our room so no one could see in, outside deck steps and wood planks because of exposed nails. My family and I enjoyed our visit.

The View

This house was everything we could ask for. I have never rented a place on the beach and this was amazing. We basically had the beach to ourselves most of the time. Just sitting on that deck in the sunshine and hearing the birds and the ocean was so relaxing. Yes the house needs some update but then I would probably wouldn’t have been able to afford it. Thank you very much for a wonderful stay.

Great beachside house

Came with friends for a quiet getaway on the coast, this house was perfect for just that! Easy to find, great driveway, huge deck, great common spaces and perfect kitchen. We would definitely stay again!

Great Spot

Great spot with easy beach access. The home had everything we needed for a 3 day weekend with family and friends. Property management was responsive to any questions. Don’t forget to visit the Pier Ave.Rock shop for a great experience with the kids.

Perfect getaway

The totem house was fantastic. Cool and quirky, the house has tons of space and everything we needed. The ocean view could not be more amazing, and having the beach as our “backyard” was priceless. The whole family including our furry friends loved it. We had a great time, and will definitely stay there again.

The house is set up for multiple people to stay comfortably. Positioned to watch the waves out the window. Easy access to the coast line up and down the 101.

Spectacular View of the Ocean

The home is clean and spacious. The beach access is right off the deck and there is nothing better than sitting in the family room watching the surf and waves. We had a great time. Too short but great.

Great location at the beach

The location can’t be beat. Right on the beach with easy access. The home is outdated and the beds feel old and you can feel the springs in some of them. In general there is a lot of room for some upgrades by the property owner. That being said, we would stay here again just for the beach view and access. We had a great time!

Beautiful location

A comfortable house with plenty of room for lots of family. Really well stocked kitchen with everything we could have needed in equipment. Not a fancy or brand new place, but comfortable. The second family room was great for the teens. Lots of movies and games provided which was a nice touch. And gorgeous beach views from the upper level. Really enjoyed our stay here. Pacific City was very close for small grocery trips.

Reviewer Comments: We have always stayed in Pacific City, it's our first time on the other side of the Cape, it's just as nice on that side, I ran all the way to the cape and there are some cool viewing areas on that side (crashing waves, etc.). The house is very typical, big and we had a blast playing foosball. Fun times!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The home is right on the beach and for a weekend with grandkids it was ideal. We had the beach to ourselves as there is really no beach access except from the other homes and NO ONE was out there. The home, though older, was nicely kept and the towels were better than any hotel. We will definitely look to rent again.

The beach is right there, the house is clean and well stocked with needs (cooking utensils, bathroom supplies, towels and linens). The furniture could be replaced as it is not super comfortable but I would stay here again gladly.

Exceeded expectations

The advertisement did not do full justice to the wonderful, size, functionality, layout, and location, absolutely great! Garbage can was very full when we arrived. Upper level east bedroom's electrical outlets do not hold cord plugs very well. Kitchen is awesome! We had a wonderful time and will consider this house for our next family gathering at the coast!
