Step inside and on to the verandah and the view of the ocean and we knew this was the place for us. Lots of room to spread out.

Excellent downtime

We had a very relaxing week. The lead up to our stay had been very intense for all of us & this break was exactly what we all needed. The location was very peacefull making for restfull sleeps allowing us to recharge.

Unclean and in poor condition

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location, size of the house and views were great. 10 of us spent four nights at the house and were very disappointed by the state and cleanliness. The pictures advertising the property were very different to what we found. There was dirt, dust and cobwebs that had clearly been accumulating for months on floors, aircons, and window sills. There was a dirty takeaway cup and straw behind one of the bedside tables reinforcing the impression that no cleaners had been through the house in a long time. The screen doors and sliding doors were very difficult to open and close and several had locking systems that didn't work. There were insects big and small upstairs and downstairs, and the downstairs toilet seat was much too small for the toilet bowl. Lots of the appliances were rusty or in bad condition. The downstairs bedroom was missing the aircon remote. The dishwasher wasn't working and was not fixed in our time at the house. When we mentioned all of the above to Ray White staff we were given excuses for everything. We love Straddie and have stayed in lots of great houses before that were clean and well maintained. We don't recommend this place and will not be returning.

Hi Lila, Thank you for your feedback. 12 Mrerinda is certainly a spacious house with plenty of room for families or the larger family. The views are also a bonus. Our favourite Straddie holiday home

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Wonderfully comfortable, convenient and well stocked. Incredible view from every room. Ray White very responsive with advising us about the delay to cleaners finishing and providing a fire lighter when the weber starter button wasn't working.Gas may be low as we couldn't get high heat. Baby gate is a potential safety hazard with bottom rail a trip hazard. We were advised that the cleaners were behind due to no fault of their own but we did notice that downstairs shower and toilet were not very clean and there was a dirty baby sock in the twin room. There was also a strong smell of urine. Mould noticeable on ceiling of living room and on the pillow protector in the twin room downstairs. We did wash two of the doona covers prior to leaving as they didn't appear clean. Please note we have been coming to Straddie for a number of years and this has been our favourite house and we mean no disrespect to the owners or Ray White with your observations. We would love to be able to continue to come and enjoy this wonderful home.

Reviewer Comments: Position and ocean views from the verandas of the property were very good, as previously.The property is looking a little "tired", as evidenced by damage to all the benchtop surfaces in the kitchen, faulty taps and shower door in the master bathroom, cumbersome and potentially dangerous installation of child proof gate at head of stairs, and an external hose connection point on the upstairs veranda, needing re-fixing to the host timber post.NB. The other RW request received for "feedback" on our experience is a joke ---------- it just doesn't work, and reflects badly on the professional image of the Ray White brand name.

RayWhite staff were super helpful and went above and beyond to get our Wollies online delivery inside prior to us checking in, that really made the whole trip stress-free, thank you. Great location, close to beaches, awesome deck for hanging out, beautiful view of the ocean, value for money is right up there. Because this is an honest review, I do need to comment on a few things that I feel could really add value to future stays:- Some pantry space in the kitchen to store food items especially if you are there for more than a few days. We found it super hard to cater for our group and had nowhere to store food.- Dining / Lounge room is a large space, but the abundance of furnishings makes it feel very cluttered and small. We had to move things out of the way just to navigate around the top floor.- Lack of fly screens, mosquitoes and flies became a real pain.- Gardens and grounds were untidyIn saying this, I still would recommend this property and RayWhite Stradbroke to friends and family as we really enjoyed our time here.Thanks

An excellent holiday rental for an extended family

There was more than enough equipment but the cupboards required work or replacing. The bench tops left a lot to be desired. The garden was overgrown and needed regular maintenance. We did report a leak in a downstairs cupboard which seemed to come from upstairs shower.

Good location but home needing TLC

Location is great and the view from the balcony is lovely but the home needs some attention. The fly screens are torn and missing, so the flies in the kitchen are really annoying along with mosquitos throughout the house. The stove is not working properly and the wifi did not work at all. The downstairs bathroom is mouldy and the balustrade at the front entrance is also broken. The home next door is under construction and the noise of the circular saw throughout the day was not great. Construction is understandable but it would have been nice of the agents to give us a heads up.
