Awesome location in a historic city
This house was perfect in every imaginable way! Quiet neighborhood, cool neighbors, great park in walking distance and city life 10 min tops via Uber. The photos do not do this home justice and all of us were super comfortable! Thanks for the memorable 30!
Nice restoration, needs some work
This is a nicely restored building and the perfect home base for Jazz Fest for four couples. It's a pleasant 1 mile walk along City Park and Esplanade to the fairgrounds. The pecan floors are lovely, and the large showers are a delight. The new appliances were also nice. However, the house still needs some work, and its cleanliness could be improved. Three bedrooms were missing televisions, and wires were hanging out of the walls, there were no nightstands, one room lacked anywhere to hang clothes or towels. The kitchen and some other parts of the house needed a thorough cleaning. The majority of the pans, dishes and other kitchen amenities were not in good condition (we ate off paper plates), there were no hand towels, the grill was rusted, as well as a few other issues. I emailed the owner directly with some suggested improvements. The house has great potential, but without some upgrades, none of us felt it was the "luxury " rental that it could be. Also, please note that you are not renting the entire building; there are people living in the basement, so you need to watch your noise level at night. This can be hard to do with 8 adults who are out on the town all night in New Orleans! It was a bit frustrating because this is not mentioned in the house listing and would've been a consideration in our VRBO house selection.
the "whole home" you are complaining about is now illegal anywhere in the city of new orleans You never inquired as to whether the house was a double. Most houses in New Orleans are doubles. Also, no one asked you to watch your noise level at night, we have hosted many groups of people, this issue has never come up, I wonder why?
The house isn't "Missing" 3 tvs as you suggested, we decided not to put tvs in every bedroom,
None of these issues were brought to my attention, only after your party left were any of these issues brought up.
The house was beautiful. The location was good.
We really enjoyed staying here, lots of space for 4 couples. Nice quiet neighborhood. easy parking.
Great stay in NOLA
The house is spacious with great amenities like stunning showers, new kitchen appliances, big porches on both levels, projector, big screen TVs, you name it. We had everything needed for a large group of 8 for Thanksgiving NOLA holiday, and enjoyed hanging out in all the different common spaces available. Our host was great with communicating welcome and check-in instructions, tips for food hotspots, and super responsive when we had questions or particular requests that were all accommodated. The place is a short uber ride to French Quarter, and walking distance to the beautiful City Park. Highly recommended!
Amazing house & location!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, I wish we couldve stayed here longer! The house is gorgeous, so many updated amenities and still charming. The location is so great too- free street parking right outside, walking distance to a grocery store and walkable to the trolley line to go to the French Quarter. Would definitely recommend staying here to anyone visiting New Orleans, booking couldn't have been easier and the owner gave us so many great food recommendations based on cuisine and price. We will be back!!
