Sandy Feet- Meredith Lodging

Stylish, fun and modern, this one-bedroom apartment is perfect for one to four people looking for a sweet, convenient stay in Manzanita. Located below the main floor of a home but with its own private entrance and fenced yard, Sandy Feet is just two blocks from the beach for seven miles of ways to get your feet sandy. There is a footpath to the beach leading from the home! The pretty, updated interior of this home is loaded with thoughtful amenities to make your stay easy and delightful. The living room furnishings are comfortable and fun, and the large flat-screen HDTV/DVD/Blu-ray will keep you entertained along with a bonus room that contains a selection of books, games, puzzles, art supplies, and a foosball table. The bright, modern kitchen complete with a Keurig (K-cups not provided) makes meals a breeze and there’s an expandable table for dining. There is a beautiful queen bedroom updated with luxury linens and a spa-like bathroom across the hall. The custom bathroom has myrtle wood countertops and a multi-jet walk-in shower. After your walk to the beach, you can rinse off those sandy feet in a semi-enclosed outdoor shower and enjoy the newly added firepit. You’ll be happy to retreat to this charming haven after a day hiking Neahkahnie Mountain or exploring the North Oregon Coast. Grab a friend and see!

The property was clean, safe, and in an excellent location. Within walking distance to Manzita downtown and the beach. Was in an adorable neighborhood and I could take a blanket and bottle of wine and go watch the sunset in about two blocks. Only downside was that the only allowed one car to park there, although there was plenty of space for a second car. My friend drove from Seattle to meet me, and we had to go park in town for no reason other than property rules. So that was a bummer and I believe that a personally owned VRBO would have been more lenient about that. There was plenty of room for four cars. But the place was great, plenty of space, comfy bed and couch, didn't use the backyard but there's a fire pit, and a fabulous shower! I would definitely recommend it. Just don't bring more than one car.

It was really dirty. Dirty clothes left under bed. Floors were unclean. There was a dank smell. The bedding had stains. The lounger in the front room was stained and dirty. We ended up staying at a different place after th first night for the rest of our trip. It wasn’t ideal but what could we do. It seemed as though this place was very misrepresented in the description and photos. We aren’t ones to complain or get into conflict but this created a lot of friction and stress on our vacation. We’ve decided not to use Vrbo moving forward because of it. Places should be verified. I think the only positive was the location.

Wonderful house in great location. Kitchen well stocked. Very clean. Loved the firepit. Lots of games for rainy days. Our weekend was beautiful. We would highly recommend.

We absolutely loved the location and the apartment was perfect for our little family of three plus our small dog LuLu. We walked to the beach every day and made friends with other families staying nearby. It was great. Proximity to town was easy. The only critique we have is that there were ants so we had to adapt to protect our food which meant everything went into the fridge/freezer. Thank you!

We felt right at home here. The location is absolutely beautiful. The views are unlike any other. The yard with a view was a huge plus. We were able to barbecue and have a beer while watching the waves out in the distance. Our dogs loved the yard and the interior was very warm and inviting. Slept comfortably and felt relaxing.

Loved Our Stay

This was the perfect getaway spot! I could not have been happier with the home and it's proximity to the beach and downtown Manzanita. I really appreciate the responsiveness from the property management as well.

Great location! Quiet neighborhood and quick walk to the beach. Perfect gor our family of 4. The kids enjoyed the Foosball.

Nice little getaway

The place had a nice yard for our dog and was the perfect size for the two of us. Very short walk to the beach on a trail. Very clean as well.

Pros and Cons

Cons: Listing description isn't very accurate. Says it has a "queen bedroom", but it only has a full size bed. Queen bed, is a murphy bed in the living room. Says its "1920 sq ft", but its under a 1000. Says it has a "large" TV but I'd say its small/average by today's standards, and there's something wrong with it. It has seven bright spots on the screen that are pretty distracting. Yard is pretty lack luster, but would be good for dogs I guess. It has a peek-a-boo ocean view, but the windows are so dirty it really ruins it. Didn't get a response to an inquire sent on a Sunday (out of the office?), not really acceptable. Needs a little upkeep, slow drains, dingy rug, lose bathroom faucet... Pros: We didn't do any cooking so I'm not positive, but it seemed well stocked. Lots of towels and pillows. Other than the windows it seemed well cleaned. Location is nice, not close to the restaurants and shops, but in a pretty part of the neighborhood that's quiet and has good beach access. Not on the beach, and up a little bit of a hill, but good for the price. Over all I've stayed in better, but also in a lot worse.

Very comfortable stay

Comfortable bed, nice shower, generally supplied well. Just a quick walk to the beach, and a totally fenced yard with fire pit to enjoy. Quiet and peaceful and relaxing!

Peaceful retreat close to the beach

This place was perfect for what we needed. My boyfriend, our dog, and I stayed for Memorial Day Weekend and loved being so close to the beach, in a safe and quiet part of town. Would stay again.

Great place/location

Great place and very clean and smelled great too! What else? The bathroom is updated and has an amazing shower head settings with digital water temperature display. Very comfortable cozy place with a nice view for sunsets. Definitely would stay here again.

Fun spring getaway

This was a very clean well supplied property. While it is all on one level you have to carry everything down several levels of stairs. I had a key issue and had to call the property management. My first call was not productive but I found a second number on a sign outside and they helped right away. The heater / air conditioner really doesn’t work. I put it up to 88 to get about 2 degrees warmer than outside. This would not work in winter or summer. Overall I had a good stay but it was very chilly in the living room kitchen area. Key box is outdated and rusty and would not close properly.

Well-appointed, peaceful unit!

Weekend Getaway

Really enjoyed this property and our stay. Took us a little bit to figure out the heating in the living room, but we eventually. The shower is definitely the highlight for me. We brought our dog, and it at just perfect. Very cute, clean, and close to the beach.
