Bronte Lodge - Wine Country Farm Stay Hunter Valley, Games Room, close to town.

Rural Country Lodge… great location with easy access and only 5 mins to the town of Cessnock. We are also on Bus Route for Weddings to Stonehurst, Wollombi, Hunter Concerts, Rover Coaches stop at the front gate. Plenty of room to park and play, enjoy the games room, see the horses, you may even spot a kangaroo.

The Lodge has a beautiful deck to BBQ, relax and unwind.

It's only a short 5 minutes' drive to neighboring Vineyard's, only 7-minute drive to Cedar Creek, just a short drive to Hunter Valley Gardens, Mount View Wineries, Hunter Valley Zoo and Wollombi Tavern only 15 minutes down the road.

Games Room, Darts Board, Table Tennis, a range of games to play indoor & out.

A high standard of cleaning is always in place. Care is taken to make sure that there is that attention to detail, when it comes to health and safety of our guests.

Clean, Cozy and Comfortable to make your stay an enjoyable one while visiting the Beautiful Hunter Valley area for concerts, dining, wineries or for that lovely country break.

Just a short drive to the Hunter Valley's best vineyards, Pokolbin and the nearby Bimbadgen and Hope Estate. Only 10 minutes' drive from the award-winning restaurant Bistro Molines located at the beautiful Tallavera Grove Vineyard. Enjoy a meal at the Bellbird Hotel only 5 minutes away or Asian cuisine from the Bellbird Workers club.

Bathroom is separate from the toilet, with its own separate bath and shower, hairdryer and complimentary soaps shampoo and conditioners.

Laundry room with front load washer, iron & ironing board and complimentary washing powder.

Birthday getaway

Wonderful stay at the beautiful Brontë Lodge for my birthday weekend. Lovely location and such a comfortable home away from hoke. My friends and I had a lovely time in the hunter and thoroughly enjoyed being so close to town but also secluded enough to feel like we were completely within nature. Will definitely stay again!

Great little house

We really enjoyed staying at Bronte Lodge. It had everything we needed, including some milk and tim tams :) The beds were comfortable and the TV was great. Just what we needed after a big day in the country/vineyards. The kids really enjoyed the table tennis/games room. We'll be back for round 2!

Amazing property only short drive from Hunter

We had amazing time at Bronte Lodge. We were 2 families traveling with two kids and the lodge was just perfect accommodation to relax after wine tasting. The game room was an extra bonus where everyone found some fun game to play. We were also lucky to spot 2 kangaroos in the morning. Sandra was lovely and met us at the property, both check-in and check-out were seamless. We would absolutely consider staying there again.

Stunning weekend getaway!

If you are looking for a very clean and modern property to stay at whilst visiting Cessnock or Wollombi, I highly recommend staying at Bronte Lodge. On arrival, Sandra was there to greet me and show me around. After stepping inside, I immediately wished this house was mine. From the gorgeous interior, the cleanliness and the smell, the comfy beds and super soft towels, I couldn’t fault this weekend getaway. Highly recommended to anyone in the area that needs accommodation! I will be staying here again!

Compact cottage rather then a lodge

Very small compact cottage, definitely would not take for than 4 people at a time due to x1 bathroom only, toilet tends to block easily too. No space for luggage, can’t comfortably sit at Dining table as squashed into a corner. Mattress’s are very soft, sore backs after 2 nights there. Cottage well equipped with appliances/utrnsils etc, tiny towels but was clean and easy access.

That’s a shame to hear considering we have received the traveler review awards for last year and this year 2025 on another booking site. The toilet didn’t have a problem before your stay and I didn’t find a problem when you checked out, maybe one of your children may have used to much paper. Also the towels are normal size towels not bath sheets. As for storage there is plenty of storage for luggage bags with built in robes in each room. It does state that there is only one bathroom with separate toilet, we have never had a problem with up to 7 guests staying during the Lovedale Long Lunch weekend or any other time, maybe you might need to look at booking a more expensive larger accommodation next time if you feel you might need more space for your family.

Hens weekend for my daughter

Right from tue start even before we booked Sandra was friendly & accommodating. Communication was easy and all our questions were answered promptly. Sandra welcomed us and had a lovely welcome gift waiting for us which we all thought was a lovely touch. The accommodation exceeded our expectations, there is nothing you need other than food and personal belongings. Toms of activities are supplied and a great location convenient for the vineyards and Wollombi. We had a beautiful weekend, thx so much Sandra for helping us make memories ❤️

Comfortable stay

Sandra is extremely helpful. We arrived at the property after 5pm. Sandra was at the property to welcome us and introduce the property to us. There was a complimentary bottle of wine and a box of biscuits. We left our charger at the property after check out. Sandra messaged us without delay while we were still having breakfast in the town. The property is very clean and very modern design. We enjoyed the stay very much. Thanks Sandra.

Great weekender for a small group

This property suited our needs as a small group (3 adults/1child) for a weekend in the Hunter. Sandra our host was very welcoming on our late evening arrival. The property offered a good sized living space and kitchen to come together in the evening for a meal and sample of our days purchases. The 3 bedrooms were a good size and comfortable. Due to the wet weather we weren't able to enjoy the outdoor seating. The games shed was great, well equiped with kids/adults activities. Some traffic noise in the early mornings even though you feel you're more remote in the bush. Enjoyed spotting the kangaroos in the morning and evening. We enjoyed our stay.

True to label

It was fab, absolutely nothing to complain about. Contact with owner was great, property was exactly as advertised, and it was handy to all places (especially Cessnock which meant we could cook after a day at the wineries). The only advice would be arrive before dark as the turnoff was hard to spot as it’s lovely and secluded.

The property is wonderful - nicely secluded out of town while a very short (5 minute) drive from all amenities and around 15-20 minutes from the wineries. The house is very clean and linen, towels and some basic bathroom and kitchen supplies are on hand. We will be returning to Bronte Lodge in future without doubt.

My family had a great stay at Bronte Lodge. The games room and board games were a real winner with the kids. Good proximity to Cessnock and the vineyards.

As I have traveled myself, I know how important it is to stay in a clean, comfortable and inviting accommodation, in which I do my best to provide.

Why they chose this property

Great location for a Rural Stay away from all the hustle & bustle but still close to the town of Cessnock on Wollombi Road. Only 5 minutes Drive to Cessnock, 10 mins to Mt View and approx 15 mins to Pokolbin, Hunter Valley Gardens, Hope Estate & Bimbadgen for Concerts. Only 7 mins to Cedar Creek, 10 mins to Wollombi Wines and Wollombi Tavern is only 15 minutes scenic drive down the road. As part of the Wollombi Wine Trail Tourist Drive 33, we are only 5 minutes to neighboring vineyards. There is a bus stop out front for bus to Concerts, Events, Shopping or some of the Wonderful Coffee Shops in town.
