It was so wonderful. Easy access to beach, very clean, contact persons were amazing, since im on hospice and last family vacation. So many great memories for my children and grandchildren

Perfect

Perfect location. House was clean. Lots of extra space. This home had all the kitchen needs required. Extra bathrooms were great for a house of boys and just 2 girls. Edrooms had comfy beds. Steps from the beach was one of the perks. Front porch views amazing. We will definitely be staying again.

Expected nicer place for the money

Location was great but the house lacked the cleanliness and the beach vibe. The bottom door lock is not working, windows were dirty and half the shades around the house were broken. House smellled musty. There was no beach chairs or beach towels available. Furniture and carpet were old and dirty. If you are looking for place to sleep the house was ok but if you want to enjoy the coastal living this is not the place. It is time to refresh and update for the mone the owners are asking. Im basing my opinion on other houses I've stayed in over the years.

The view was fantastic

We couldn't have asked for a better view. The house was perfect in size, there was plenty of room for everyone. The beds were comfortable. It could use a few updates and deep clean. However we would definitely stay again.

The views are so nice, and the home is very well maintained. The layout is a little odd but overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Best little beach house in Texas!

We were pleased when we arrived and saw the location of this home. The beach views are amazing and can be seen from the front windows if only they were clean. I didn’t let a little elbow grease stop me from enjoying the views and cleaned them myself. The deck is safe for little one just as long as they ware shoes. We had two splinters events on our 3 YO and 5 YO’s feet. The kitchen is well appointed and needs a few items replaced like a pizza cutter and a few more kitchen towels. The trail to the house from the beach is short but the shower head was missing from the downstairs shower and we had to carry the kids upstairs to the bath every time we went to the beach. The beds are good and comfortable after a long day but the kids steel bunk beds need a little oil to stop the squeaks at night so everyone gets a good nights rest. The bath towels were super soft and comforting after the end of the day shower. This house has great bathrooms for a large family and a half bath near the living room in case you have napping kids near the kids rooms. Next time, I’ll bring my own barbecue because both BBQ’s on site were dirty. I will for sure come back again to this beach house but thought I should communicate the items that needed attention for the next guest.

Allergy Sufferers Beware

This property had a great location and enough space for a large family. It is an older house with dated decor, but that doesn't deter from the ocean view. One of the many downfalls was that the property was very, very dirty. There was also evidence of mice. The most noticable issue was the musty smell and it made vacation very difficult for those in our family with allergies. I emailed the property manager about the condition of the property and the mouse droppings when we checked in but didn't hear back until the next afternoon. The manager offered to clean while we were out but it would have taken longer than that one of our outings to clean appropriately, so we just dealt with it. It should have been properly cleaned and ready for us when we arrived.

You get what you pay for

We arrived at night, the out door sensor lights were not working, I walked into the picnic table and injured my leg. The house had a strong mildew smell, we found mouse droppings and notified the property management. The house had a great view of the gulf except for the garbage strewn all over the lot between the house and the beach. I mentioned this also to the property manager, you would think they would want to have a great ambiance for the house and view, but they never picked up the garbage. I was disappointed with the property management.

Excellent location, right on the beach.

Perfect location, on the west end of the island, pretty quiet, property has everything you need to have great vacation. We did have a small problem with getting in the house initially but managed to contact the property manager and get the problem resolved quickly.

Great house!

It’s older, but very clean! Comfortable beds! Clean baths! Plenty of every cooking utensil! The location is awesome! Manager is easily accessed and quick to respond! Enjoyed every minute!!

Memorable stay!!

My family and I drove from Wisconsin to enjoy some time away. The house was exactly what was pictured. It has everything that is needed to make your stay as easy as possible. The owners were very responsive via texts. We loved the beach and how private it was. My kids loved the swimming each and every day! Memories were made! <3

As described, walk out to the beach

Location was amazing and exactly why I booked this specific house. Plenty of pots/pans, dishes. House was well laid out and felt very spacious. Only advice, stop at the $1 store and buy paper towels, sponge for dishes, dishwasher soap, laundry soap and soft toilet paper. Shampoo/conditioner if you want better than motel 6. Overall, it was amazing and nothing $20 didn’t fix. I’d book again in a heartbeat.

One of the best locations on the Island. Right on the ocean.

Great location, very nice house with everything you need to have a great vacation. We did have an issue with getting into the house to begin with. After working with Evolve, we were happy with the final resolution and were very happy with our stay.

Great space & view

My family of 4 (kids aged 6 & 8) & my parents stayed here. We loved the amount of space we had; didn't feel like we were on top of each other, unless we wanted to be cuddled up! The weather was cold & rainy when we were here, so we really enjoyed all the windows looking out at the beach. The location of the house made quick walks when it cleared up easy!

Family Time

The house fit our family needs. Right on the beach and a lovely view. Our main focus was to be beach front away from the main island and this property provided that! We would stay here again!

Perfect Location vs Raggedy and Could be Cleaner

- every garbage can was full with loud stench; - enclosed stairwell needed sweeping, debris and dust visible - 2 recliner chairs were NOT usable, both obviously broken down; - every closet door was broken to point dangerous to open, off hinges could fall -the master BR shower had mildew visible on the mats and floor - appeared to have electrical issues, with all switches on, 2 ceiling fans never started - the refrigerator and washer dryer were rusted, the freezer leaked onto top shelf and both the washer dryer were extremely loud - strangely, most of the flatware forks were too small to comfortably eat. Had to use plastic forks. - with one BR's entry/exit through the other 2 BRs made it difficult to invite guests to stay overnight, depending on whose in the rooms. - the front stormdoor to house fell apart, on the first day, a strip came off, then while there, another strip came loose. The hinge arm was rusted and broken. Luckily, the wooden door stayed intact. - the ground level door's lock was broken. The door generally did not lock. So entry to enclosed stairwell was not secure. - the location of the house is PERFECT. Luckily the balcony is substantially shaded by mid-morning. The LR was not inviting nor comfortable, but there was alway the perfect ocean view from the balcony. Lounge chairs added to balcony would be nice. I went to be mesmerized by the ocean sound and view of the water. The house offers that perfectly. However, we were all 60+ in age so self conscious of falls and injuries. The recliner chairs and the closet doors can be viewed as hazardous...an accident waiting in the wind. I think those need addressing even if everything else remains.

Great location

House was perfect size for our team work meetup. House had everything we needed, seemed adequately clean. There was definitely some signs of wear in the home and the cell phone signal was non existent. Other than that I had no complaints. Beautiful view of the beach!

A lovely birthday weekend!

Check in was extremely easy, I received messages of how to enter the property without having to reach out to anyone. The house was clean, nice, and larger than I expected. The 3 bathrooms were wonderful! The location is perfection as it is right on the beach where many fisherman throw their lines in the water. I always enjoy watching them fish. The only thing I would say is the faucet on the kitchen sink needs to be replaced. It falls into the sink because the connection is loose and it is hard to get the water to turn off without using both hands. That was a small inconvenience for an otherwise wonderful stay! I will be back with my parents!

Awesome location/great price!

The beach is just feet from the back porch and it is a very comfy place to stay. The house and amenities are a little dated looking, but everything is clean and functional. Defiantly not a shiny new hotel vibe … more like your great aunt’s beach house. But if that doesn’t bother you, you cannot beat the location, convince and price. There is a food truck park directly across the street and a direct path to the water from the back porch. Just A Note: the bedroom with the bunk beds is land locked between the other two bedrooms. You have to walk through one of the other bedrooms to get in and out. Not a problem if just you have two families staying, but we had three full families. Made it a little awkward when anyone had to use bathroom in the middle of the night. But this was a very small inconvenience when you consider the price, location, and size of this property. We will absolutely book again!

It is a lovely home directly located on the beach. It needs a little TLC.

We enjoyed our stay. But again, this property would be worthy of a 5 star rating if the house got a little tender loving care. Beds are extremely comfortable!
