This was the most well set up BookaBach we have stayed in. The house was close to the wonderful Tata beach and the weather was kind to us.The host was an excellent communicator who was available for any queries.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay. Duncan was friendly, and quick to respond to any questions we had throughout our stay. The house itself is amazing, very warm, beautifully maintained, and extremely well equipped. We had everything we needed and more for a truly comfortable and relaxing holiday. One of the highlights was the large terrace, which was perfect for barbecues while listening to the birds. The views from the upstairs bedrooms were stunning, with a beautiful outlook over the sea that we never got tired of waking up to. We also loved how private and peaceful the property felt, while still being conveniently located close to the beach. The kayak was a fantastic bonus and made our stay even more special. Overall, everything was in excellent condition, and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. We would happily come back :)

Dream family holiday house

Perfect well equipped holiday home only a few minutes walk from beautiful Tata beach with ideal conditions for swimming. Spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated - we couldn’t have wished for more!

Amazing stay!

We loved staying here, only a few minutes walk to the beach, amazing view from each balcony and most of the bedrooms too. Wonderful spot to cook on the bbq and admire the surroundings. Had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and a few bonus items including a kayak and beach trolley which were so helpful! Tata beach is a beautiful place.

Fantastic holiday home

Best of both worlds being an easy flat walk to the beach, but upper decks giving views of the sea. House was amazingly clean and obviously well looked after. We are booked in for next year already.

Nice house with great sunsets!

Comfortable house with an expansive decks. We had lovely weather but good house for rainy days too. It is in a street with lots of houses but private and the walk to the beach is easy

Fabulous

So well equipped and spacious for the 6 of us. The owner phoned before we went and just to answer any questions we may have had. Short walk to beach. Setting of house is wonderful and private even though surrounded by houses. But so much shrubbery to keep privacy. Highly recommend.

Wonderful & Windy

Great location, house was spacious and tidy. Loved the deck chairs for the afternoons, these were well used. Tata was very windy, and I don't know if this a just NZ summer 2024 or a Tata thing. However, we had very good weather for our two weeks, and you can't have it all! We certainly made the most of the mornings before the wind got up. As for eating out, bring your own food as the kitchen is well equipped and the cafes within the area are a little average, although the service is good. Overall, I would recommend and stay again.

Quiet spot good for the family

We enjoyed our week here. The house was clean and had most things we required. Only thing our teenagers were missing was the ability to log into their streaming tv services on the tv... but they survived!

Lovely Tata Beach

Had a lovely relaxing stay at this property. Great for 2 families to share as enough space for everyone. Has everything you need, linen & towels included. Quiet back section & lots of sunshine. Would definitely stay again. Thanks for a wonderful holiday.

Great house in a great place

This house is fantastic. It is very comfortable, has great spacious rooms and decks, and is super close to Tata beach for swimming and kayaking. Checking in is easy as Duncan is really helpful. The place has a really lovely vibe. Thanks so much. We'd love to visit again.

A nice property. Set up really well for wetdays. Easy to get to.

Appreciate your thoughts re bikes and kayaks. There is a kayak there but we dont advertise it. If we had bikes and kayaks there and we said they were avaliable and there was an accident we would be liable and were advised not to do it, Thanks for your comments Regards Duncan

Great location but needs a spring clean

Disappointed upon arrival due to the level of cleanliness being poor. Contacted owner who arranged for cleaner to return the following day, however cleaner was limited to what she could due to the contractual arrangements between her & owner. Property requires a deep clean. We got stuck in and cleaned where needed so we felt comfortable (not ideal, but it’s what you do if you want to enjoy your holiday). Owner refunded 10% of tariff and says he has since remedied cleaning situation so hopefully things will be cleaner for future guests. Nonetheless we had a wonderful holiday as it is a great location however we would not stay here again.

Creating Family Memories

Third Year in Golden Bay becoming a habit now, this property ideal for our family handy to the beach and very comfortable. Duncan easy to deal with. Lots of Books and Games. Beautiful deck recessed into native forest with natural birdsong. All home now but feeling relaxed and wondering when this house is on the market....a great time had by all.

Had a great stay at this fantastic property. Really suited our group - plenty of space. Close to beach, walks, coffee cart :) and great boating access. House had everything we needed, including an excellent bbq. We dined on the large sunny deck for each meal.

Spacious & Relaxing Spot

Plenty of space, lots of lovely birdsong around, easy walk to beach. Liked that all extras like beach towels and wifi were included in booking..
