Thank you for your review. I do have a question, however. We have consistently received 5-star reviews since we started opening our home for vacation rentals. I noticed that you gave us 4-stars & we are wondering if there was something that we need to address. We want our guests to have the best possible experience & if we need to take care of something, we need to be aware. We would appreciate learning what led to your 4-star review. The only thing I see is that you had a good experience. We appreciate your business & hope that next time, if you decide to use us again, you have a 5-star stay. Many thanks. Donna Shepherd, Owner

We loved the cabin! It was so comfortable & well equipped with everything you’d need.We enjoyed watching the deer & elk, listening to the live music on the balcony during the weekend & visiting The Old Road Restaurant on the Mescalero reservation. My family has gone to this same restaurant 30 years and it’s still the great taste of NM. Thank you for hosting us!

Excellent home in Cloudcroft that comfortably slept 8 with a spacious kitchen, living room and outdoor common areas. Beautiful scenery and also near to great restaurants and shops. The property was very clean and nicely decorated. The host was very welcoming and provided us with detailed and timely information. I could not recommend this property enough for your next stay in Cloudcroft.

We loved our time at Shep's Artist cabin and enjoyed exploring beautiful Cloudcroft! There was plenty of room for my family of 4 and 2 dogs and my kids loved sleeping in the bunk room. It was beautiful to eat breakfast on the patio and watch the deer wonder through the woods behind the fenced in yard. We will definitely stay here again if we visit Cloudcroft in the future.

A truly wonderful well appoined cabin with everything you could need. We stayed in the smaller cabin last time which was also great. The water filter was a nice addition and keeps you from having to buy water in town. Very pleased looking forward to another visit.

We had booked our trip for my son's senior graduation. We could not have picked a better place. The home was so cozy and inviting and we loved being able to sit on the porch in the cool, crisp mountain air in the mornings to drink coffee. Highly recommended and will stay again!
We even had a little ice that fell during July!
Lovely place to enjoy coffee in the cool, crisp mountain air.
