A private, stand alone building, glass doors, and a 1,000 square foot private deck. Isolated location atop Silver Mountain in the middle of the forest, surrounded by trees of all sorts.
Incredibly fresh air, pure well water.
Privacy, comfort and security in the middle of Nature.


Includes private access to our fire pit, pond, paddle boat and picnic area. Skiing, Snow Boarding and Snow Tubing nearby!

. Complete kitchen; cooking equipment includes an outdoor gas grill, and induction cooktop with Cuisine Art pots and pans, a microwave oven, a coffee maker, a toaster.

Our water comes from the well, so please be conservative.
2 hours from NYC

Many natural attractions and swimming places, for example Bash Bish Falls and Rudd Pond, Many children's playgrounds, restaurants, a movie theatre, art galleries, antique stores, wine shops, pick-your-own fruits and vegetables farmer's markets. etc. etc. Hotchkiss Golf Course is open to the public.

Please ask about stays longer than 5 nights or extra beds. (Rental price includes two guests, one bed. Additional fees apply for more guests and additional beds.)
Pets (well behaved) are welcome, one time fee: $65 per pet must be leashed at all times but are free to run like the wind at the pond area.

We have security cameras on the driveway for safety.

Because we think these things are personal, we do not provide shampoo or tooth paste, so bring your own toiletries.

We are available to assist you at your convenience...your privacy is paramount. We provide our text number 24/7 hotline for assistance of any kind.

Glam in the woods

Very nice apartment , enormous deck makes you feel like you are part of the trees. Nicely decorated, they did everything to make your stay comfortable.

A Place for Contemplation and Communion with Nature

Skyloft makes for a great getaway from the din of the city. We more or less lived on the spacious deck in the trees - reading, meditating, grilling and eating, with binoculars near at hand for avian visitors. These included a Pileated Woodpecker, a Rose Breasted Grosbeak, Eastern Wood Pewee and many others. Paul and Juliana are great hosts and made suggestions for our outings, which included Bash Bish Falls, and a night time firefly-lit walk down to the pond to look at the Neowise Comet. An excellent retreat!

Peaceful setting

The location was further from my home base in Red Hook. The people were sweet and helpful. They have a very bad mold/mildew problem. I'm sure they will correct that problem before renting the space again.

Mountaintop Retreat

The Skyloft is spacious and elegantly appointed. It is nestled in a serene setting, with a huge deck where you can relax overlooking a beautiful native forest. It is located minutes from Millerton, which is one of the most interesting towns in the Hudson Valley.
