Great winter rental

Very nice apartment; clean and well appointed. Only drawback was the only a/c is in the kitchen/dining area. Fine if you’re there in the winter, not so great when it’s 95 degrees out.

Comfortable, beautiful location

We had a great week even though the weather was bad. The view from the deck is great, the bedroom is comfortable, the kitchen is good and equipped, and you are less than 10 minutes from the center of Windham. The Italian market on Main Street is great, and you’re close to Phoenicia and Hunter. Would definitely stay here again.

Peaceful getaway

Unit was tidy and spacious. Loved the deck, beautiful views! Very quiet area but close to downtown Windham and easily accessible. Water heater needs some maintenance but overall a great stay.

Nice facilities

We had a wonderful stay. The supplies of coffee and tea bags served our needs opulently.The place was neat and clean. Only problem was the smelly tap water - nothing can be done about it - for it is the type of well water we get there at Windham, NY. Even in restaurant in Downtown Windham we faced the same problem, we had to buy the bottle waters. Future visitors to this neat place may choose to bring their own bottle water. There was a Brita Water Filter which we did not use. The owner were extremely helpful. The only handicap was that the photographs made the place look a lot bigger than what it is. We'll definitely revisit the place should the opportunities arise.

Wonderful Wedding Weekend!

We came to the area for my nephew’s wedding. Close proximity to Hunter Mountain. Extremely satisfied with the property. View across the way is amazing. Neighbor down the street was super sweet and gave us a great breakfast recommendation (Albergo Allegria). Hickory Market also a great find. Only criticism about the VRBO is that the front door lock is a little tricky. However, the manager did provide specific guidance regarding that in advance. Nevertheless, I had trouble and if my husband hadn’t been there, I might still be outside trying to get in! Kidding, I’m sure I would have figured it out, like he did. Really a nice little woodland retreat!

Beautiful property - great host!

My family and I greatly enjoyed our 2 week stay here. The area is comfortably spacious and the views of the mountains and the nightly sky are absolutely stunning. The host we spoke to was very polite and accommodating. Overall, my parents are already planning their visit here next year!

Nice place except . . .

The place was nice and clean. It was near the wedding venue we were celebrating at. However, this place desperately needs a water softener. The water reeks with a really strong sulfur odor. After a shower the whole unit had that odor. There is also only one AC unit, which meant the bedrooms were too warm at night. The recycling should also be labeled with what items can be recycled. I hope the owner makes improvements.

Great property

Six of us had a great three day getaway. The property is easy to find, pleasing to look at, and comfy for a group. Communication was easy and very accommodating. Everyone slept fine. Two bathrooms was a nice amenity. The colors were at peak, which was a nice bonus. Windham was just down the road and has small-town charm. Make sure you know how far north this is, it s almost three hours from Newark. The decorating is a bit odd and disconnected. Their is a weird giant cat sculpture ( we see its an area thing) and a creepy 'knight', we kept thinking it was a person. We would stay again.

Has everything!

Nice relaxing setting with everything you’ll need. Set on a nice quiet rolling hill. We had a great girls weekend visited a few towns and parks. Had most of our meals in, the kitchen had everything we needed.
