About this property

Hill Top Retreat homestay - With 270 degrees stunning Views !

We are situated in the middle of vineyards on top of the hill with 270° stunning views all year around, away from the hustle and bustle in a tranquil rural farming environment.
This homestay is a separate wing attached to the house where you have your Kingbed Bedroom & your own Bathroom/toilet.
Bifold doors opening onto your patio with table, chairs & a BBQ where you can enjoy the surroundings.
Full equipped kitchen can be used but is shared with owners.
Where only 20 minutes from Blenheim 45 minutes from Picton and 1H and 15min ftom Kaikoura by car.
Ideal stop over before or after a trip on the ferry.
We farm calves & have 2 friendly dogs.
You can enjoy the beautiful sunset at night from your room and watch the stars in the night sky, waking up to see the sun rise over the sea the next morning in your bedroom in a very quiet environment .......it truly is a unique place!

Overall a nice stay. Keep in mind this is a room in someone’s home. The bathroom is private use but not en-suite. It is in a hallway adjacent to the front entrance. Since VRBO markets listings as having the entire place to yourself this is not the case. If you are ok with the above I would not hesitate to recommend

Great stay!

My wife and I went up to Marlborough for just an overnight visit to some vineyards, and Sylvia's was the perfect choice for our stay. Clean & comfy room, convenient, beautiful views, easy in/easy out, and our host was terrific - friendly and a good communicator throughout the whole process. Thanks for a very nice visit!

Road trip from Christchurch. Drove from Kaikoura great to access Molesworth Station. Pleased to be in all wheel drive car up the steep, gravel driveway.

Fabulous views all around

Steep climb to a hill top over-looking hills, valleys, vineyards and ocean; hard to beat!. Room was part of main house with bathroom in hallway next to room, not quite an en-suite. There as also access directly from outdoors. A few more dishes and utensils would have been appreciated. Sylvia was very friendly. I highly recommend.
