About the property

Spacious, fully equipped with kitchen and laundry, near beaches & shopping

Hale Anuenue (House of Rainbows) is a large, fully equipped studio/condominium unit fronting on the Prince Golf Course (currently not in use, so it's like a huge back yard) and a walking path down to Anini Beach. It has a full, well equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, Queen size bed, Wi-Fi, HDTV, a full bath, beach chairs, beach mats and coolers. The large lanai is perfect for stargazing or just enjoying some quiet outdoor reading. There's reserved parking, a great pool area with a communal barbeque and shopping and restaurants are just minutes away. Princeville at Hanalei's location is conveniently close to Kilauea, Hanalei and the rest of Kauai's North Shore's numerous beaches and amenities. Given it's size, location and amenities, Hale Anuenue is by far Princeville's best bargain. E komo mai.

About Rick Emens (RB) License no.: RB-15258

I traveled much of the world and found myself on Kauai in 1979. I knew the minute I arrived that I was home. I continued to vacation on Kauai yearly and finally decided to move to Kauai full time in 1986. I moved to the mainland in 2010 to explore the U.S., but It wasn't long before I realized that there's no place like Kauai and came back "home".

Rick Emens (RB) License no.: RB-15258 purchased this condo in 2015

Why Rick Emens (RB) License no.: RB-15258 chose Princeville

I looked at the numerous options available and decided that at this stage in my life a condo would be the best thing for me. Paniolo offers a great, quiet location and amenities such as an on-site pool, a trail down to Anini Beach and the convenience of being just minutes away from world class beaches, numerous outdoor activities, shopping, a library and park.

What makes this condo unique

The great location and proximity to the North Shores numerous beaches, shopping, restaurants and outdoor activities offers something for everyone.

Just like pictured, and very homey

  • 5 of 5

I'm so glad I found this place. It was attractive, clean, comfortable and in a nice neighborhood, conveniently close to Princeville Shopping Center. I enjoyed the hike to lovely Anini Beach. The apartment is well-furnished with all the basics for enjoying a day at the beach and/or staying in and preparing meals, or popcorn and some movie watching. Internet and cable service worked very well. Hope it's available when I return next year!

Loved the location.

  • 4 of 5

I loved the location, the lanai, and the comfortable bed. The kitchen had everything you could want. In addition, there were beach chairs and towels, beach mats, snorkel, mask and fins. The lanai was very peaceful - a great place to have coffee and wind down from the day. The washer and dryer were a big plus!

We didn't use the kitchen a lot because we were taking advantage of some restaurants that Rick recommended, We liked Tiki Iniki, Hideaway, the food trucks in Hanalei, and we spent several nights at the Happy Talk lounge having pou pou's and drinks and calling it dinner.

I would like to recommend the North Shore Charters for beautiful scenery, snorkeling, lunch

and a fun, fast ride back to Anini beach. Kayak Hanalei was a lot of fun! Kayak the river, Hanalei bay and then to a beach for snorkeling, picture taking, and if you ask for Kolo to be your guide you won't be disappointed.

Paniolo / Property #792328 - Rick Emens

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I were looking for a 3 day rental prior to moving to a timeshare that was given to us. I spent hours looking for something that was private, with maybe more than just a bed, and cost effective. While I knew my search was going to be tough, Rick Emens' Paniolo property checked everything of my list and more. I loved that it had two levels which made it seem like it almost had separate living and bedrooms. And, it had a FULL kitchen! Woohoo! I don't recall seeing many studios that had a full kitchen. And, a washer/drawer! It is surprising how much laundry you have in 3 days while on vacation. Not only was the studio perfect, Rick was an outstanding host. I was a bit unorganized upon arrival and texted Rick with some questions and he immediately responded and called, within minutes. He was so helpful and so warm, I knew then that our first 3 days in Hanalei were going to kick off a fabulous vacation that my husband and I were really looking for. I would highly recommend this property and will rent it again if we are in the need of a studio. Mahalo Rick!

Great stay, comfy bed, helpful owner

  • 5 of 5

Great place! Never met the owner but he was very helpful and quickly responded. Just to note The walls are very thin you can hear everything, even the neighbor puking all night! But the condo was clean and everything I expected. The beach and path was so Great. Beware I was under impression we could walk on the unused golf course behind the property but we got a warning to stay off. The flowers plants and porch was awesome and the bed was really comfortable. I would definitely stay again you can't beat the price.
