Nine Palms is a beautiful, single -story home near South Mountain in the Ahwatukee Foothills neighborhood of Phoenix. Over 50 miles of hiking and mountain biking are a block away. We face Western Star Park. The far end of the park features a covered children's play area as well as tennis and basketball courts.

Very nice place to stay. Location is great. The house is very clean. Just disappointed that the pool water was not at the temperature that I was told it would be at. Other than that, it was a great stay.

This home was very clean and organized. The landscaping was beautiful and we enjoyed the hummingbirds feeding on the flowering plants while floating in the pool. We felt right at home during our stay.

Perfect place for our family

This was the perfect property for our family. Barbara let us know when the property was available for early checkin, which helped us so much on our arrival day. We swam everyday, played tennis across the street at the park (Barbara generously allows guests to use pool and sports equipment), went for walks, and prepared a few meals in the very well equipped kitchen! The layout worked great. The office was really helpful for remote work needs. The outdoor porch is so lovely. The neighborhood was family friendly. We couldn't have asked for a better stay. Barbara was so quick and helpful with all communication. Thank you for a peaceful, fun, relaxing stay!

Very nice South Mountain house

Clean, nicely furnished, great pool, convenient Ahwatukee location. Friendly, responsive owner/manager. Not the hustle and bustle of Scottsdale, but a close enough drive if that's your thing.

Excellent house and hosts!

Barbara and Marc are incredible hosts that have thought of everything for their guests! The house was clean organized and the pool was a dream setup with a gate for safety. From sunscreen to extra blankets, this house was perfect for our stay and the location was right across from the park. We can't recommend this gem enough!

The home is located in an ideal neighborhood, close to shopping and hiking on South Mtn. The home is very clean and equipped with all the amenities that you need for your stay. This was our second stay and we would highly recommend this property. Great pool and outdoor seating area.

Quiet with easy access to mountain trails

Great location, great hiking nearby!

House was clean and well stocked. Kitchen was great, we cooked many families meals, and it had all the tools needed! Property management was responsive to all questions. Great pool. Easy access to South Mountain hiking. We would stay here again!

Spacious home in great location

We enjoyed our stay at this home very much. The park across the street and the hiking trails directly behind the house were very nice indeed. The patio area and swimming pool were great to have available.The house itself was very well-equipped.(not always the case in vacation rentals). I especially appreciated the kitchen as it had everything needed for meal preparation, including interesting cookbooks! Speaking of books, there were lots of interesting ones on the bookshelves. I only regret that I didn't have time to finish reading Rin Tin Tin. My granddaughter also enjoyed doing most of the jigsaw puzzles and playing with the blocks.The bed in the master was very comfortable. There were lamps on bedside tables on both sides of the bed. There were also table lamps in other areas of the house, also something that is rare. (I have been known to have to go to local thrift stores in other places to buy a cheap lamp to read by).I would definitely recommend this home to others.

Wow! Home Away from Home!

Brought our adult daughter for a 3 day stay. We had so much fun! Pool was perfect size! House was comfy and fully loaded with everything we needed! Host was very flexible and accommodating! Thanks for sharing your home with us!

Easy and perfectly sized

Came to Arizona to see the Grand Canyon and other sites. This was a great place to bring the family and explore Arizona from.

Perfect!

The listing and the prior reviews held up to their 5-star ratings. There were 4 of us staying at the property. Since it is one level, it was perfect for my 80+ year old parents. The large, well-equipped kitchen and open floor plan made it easy prepare food, serve and visit. We enjoyed our time in the pool and on the patio throughout our stay. The owners were very responsive to any questions we had during our stay. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks!

Great property!

This is a wonderful house in a great location. Barbara could not have been a nicer host. The house is child friendly - we loved having the pack and play and the high chair there! The pool was clean, warm and protected to keep small ones from tumbling in. While we most likely won't be back in Phoenix any time soon (our goddaughter graduated from ASU) - if we are there we would definitely rent this home again!!!

Another Arizona Feeling of Home

We have made several stays at this property (and hope to make more) which only get better each and every time. When we walk in the front door it feels like home. Everything remains well-maintained, true to the website description and photos are accurate representations of the home. It was a wild week with the Yankees playing the Dbacks, the NCAA Final Four, an eclipse, a major concert and motorcycle rally. The Desert Trail starting just around the corner remains in great condition for our morning hikes. The pool is warm and regularly maintained. If you enjoy theater in the area, we average two great shows per stay. All stores you need are within a 5 minute drive. Most importantly, you are in great hands with the host of 9 Palms who will go to any length to guarantee your stay is a most successful one.

Awesome Entertainment Home

We celebrated Thanksgiving with our AZ family. The home was perfect for entertaining. It is very close to the airport, shopping, and more. Open space concept with great TVs and comfortable beds...Pool was heated and there were excellent grills. Would stay again in a heartbeat...

Best Property Yet!

We've been renting VRBOs in the Phoenix area for over ten years and I have to say this may be the best rental we have stayed at. Great location, park across the street, shopping nearby, restaurants nearby. Don't miss Rustler's Roost! This property had everything you need to grill, to cook, for the pool and for the kids. I definately recommend it and if it's available we will stay there again.

Excellent home to stay in while in Phoenix. Super clean, beautiful central location. This home has everything you could think to need. We stay in many vrbos & this was top notch. Perfect for children. The pool is gated, there were toys and interesting books. Many kitchen supplies, extra toilet paper. So many little touches made our stay just wonderful. The house was immaculate and in a quiet safe neighborhood. Highly recommend!

ABSOLUTELY!!!You definitely want to stay in this beautiful well maintained home!

Three of us ladies from "Butte-ful" Butte Montana went to Pheonix to go to a concert. We booked this amazing home for 5 days and nights. It is far more gorgeous and comfortable than the pictures tell. It is very conviently located and easy to hop the freeways to get around. Everything we needed for our stay was there. Clean towels, bedding, dishes, soaps etc... Having a washer and dryer avaiable and a completely stocked kitchen was a huge plus. The decor was beautiful and very warm and homely feeling. We lounged around on the patio in the mornings,visiting, worked on puzzles - then took a swim in the extremely clean and (salt water) pool (non of that smelly gross feeling on your skin clorine) before we went shopping and sightseeing. Only to return to a very comfy home , more time in the pool and hanging on the patio. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were so comfortable as was the bedding. Our stay was PERFECT!!! We can't wait to stay here again. A huge thank you to our hosts for making their home available!

comfortable for large family

We had a great stay here in ahwatukee. We enjoyed the pool and the entire house was very nice and clean. The kitchen is fully equipped - and we were able to cook and bake plenty for our family reunion. The kids loved the park right across the street! Great location near beautiful south mountain.

We live in Chicago and we know bad weather! That may be why we love Phoenix so much. We have three grown children and two grandchildren. One of our sons and his wife live in the area and introduced us to South Mountain and the Ahwatukee neighborhood.

South Mountain is majestic and having a beautiful green park across the street from our home has a lot of appeal. We love the ease of single-floor living after years of living in 2-story houses. The sparkling pool and the lanai in our backyard sealed the deal.
