::: IS OUR HOME A GOOD FIT FOR YOUR VACATION? WE HOPE SO! :::
We are very accommodating and hospitable hosts, and our guests have always enjoyed their stay with us - check out our reviews! However, due to unfortunate recent experiences, we must emphasize the Rules below to ensure our cabin is the right fit for your vacation plans.
:: MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY PERMITTED * 2 persons of ANY AGE, at any time, by Washoe County STR Licensed Permit.
:: PET POLICY * No animals permitted in the cabin due to Homeowner's Allergies.
:: PARKING LIMITATIONS BY HOA * Maximum of (1) vehicle only. * Parking is restricted to our designated spot only - strict enforcement by the HOA includes a $100 fine per incident for parking in any other space for any amount of time. The fine will be passed on to guests. * No Boats and RVs of ANY type are permitted within the HOA property. * 4WD or AWD is required when snow is present. Chains will not work in our sloped driveway and surrounding streets.
:: NO SMOKING/VAPING * Due to the homeowner's allergies, no smoking or vaping is permitted within 30' of the cabin.

:::: OUR CABIN AWAITS! ::::
If you agree to the above Rules and are looking for the perfect cozy and quiet getaway, COME ON UP TO TAHOE!
:::: TAHOE TIME ::::
Since this is also our family retreat, you'll find this cabin isn't just another typical vacation rental—it's truly a home away from home. We really love it when our guests have a wonderful, peaceful, and relaxing time during their stay - we do our best to be the most hospitable hosts you'll ever meet!
With quiet, full-time owners throughout the semi-secluded complex, this convenient, free-standing (no shared walls) cabin is a "getaway from it all" gem. We have been property owners here since the early 80's!
This is bear country, so you might just see our local friend, Bernie the Bear. As long as you do not leave any food (or trash with any smells) outside the cabin, in your car, or near an open door/window, Bernie is just a huge (kinda smelly) fuzzball who ambles by on the hunt for a picnic basket. He does know how to open unlocked car doors, pesky little guy.
Just a few minutes' walk away, you'll find a quiet, semi-private forest setting with a year-round creek where you can soak up a little bit of the magic that makes up the Tahoe National Forest. It is a neighborhood favorite!
Centrally located, we're just a few minutes' drive away from the center of town, where you'll find coffee, groceries, shopping, and restaurants! Be sure to stop at the Potlatch store in Raley's center - they have a great selection of Tahoe memorabilia.
:::: ABOUT THE CABIN ::::
Enjoy the cozy living room, featuring a sofa, two recliners, a Smart TV, and a gas stove. The open floor plan features an adjacent dining area and kitchen. With multiple windows in the main living area, you'll find it light and comfy, with lovely views of the trees.
The kitchen is equipped with a Keurig coffee pot, microwave, toaster, refrigerator, electric stove, and oven. Although there are typically some spices and condiments, we are unable to guarantee the quantity, quality, or variety. Please bring any must-have ingredients for your home-cooked meals. We provide a few starter pods of coffee to get you started.
The sunny, first-floor, large primary bedroom has a California King bed (and another Smart TV) - it's an amazing spot to wake up in every day with a large window that looks out into the trees right off the back deck. The bathroom is just steps away.
The one full bath is located just across the hall from the primary bedroom, offering a tub/shower combo. Bath towels, hand towels, and wash cloths for two people are provided. There is a starter supply of toilet paper (3 rolls), as well as some shampoo and conditioner, shower gel, and hand soap.
Relax on the sofa upstairs in the forward loft while reading, gaming, or watching a movie on the Smart TV. It's a lovely space that's open to the first floor, with high ceilings that highlight the floor-to-ceiling windows. Take it from us, it's a great place to nap too!
Wifi download speeds of 300 Mbps make it possible for Zoom calls with a virtual background (hint: so your boss won't even know you're in Tahoe!).
******* Most guests don’t use the upstairs back bedroom, so rather than inflating the cleaning fee for all guests, we simply charge an additional $25 cleaning fee if you use this bedroom. You’re absolutely welcome to enjoy this lovely, cozy space—it features a queen-size bed, a sitting area, and a sliding glass door that looks right out into the trees. Please let us know in advance of your check-out so we can ask the cleaning service to bring clean linens for that room when they clean the cabin after your departure. *****
::: WHAT TO BRING :::
Bring your personal care items, groceries, beach towels, and all beach gear (& snow gear, depending on the season). Although there is usually a selection of spices and condiments, we are unable to guarantee their quantity or quality between guests - be sure to bring anything you specifically need for a home-cooked meal. We have 3 grocery stores in town: Raley's, Grocery Outlet, and Natural Grocers (a little something for everyone).
::: WHAT TO DO WHILE YOU'RE HERE :::
Epic vacation memories await: : bike/walk the famous East Shore Trail : hike to Monkey Rock or Chickadee Ridge : climb the rock wall at High Altitude Fitness : bowl, dine, and enjoy great music at the *NEW* Incline Bowl (and more) : gamble or enjoy an incredible spa day at the Hyatt : skip the long lines at Starbucks and go to Drink Coffee Do Stuff (locals' tip) : ski, snowshoe, and sledding sites all around (check out the Meadows) ... and SO much more! For the most up-to-date list of events (no matter which season you choose to visit), check out https://tahoe.com/incline-village
::: BEACH ADVISORY :::
**** At this time, the private beaches in Incline Village are ordinance-restricted to homeowner / FT residents only, and therefore are not included in your rental agreement. Thank you for understanding this isn't a preference on our part; it is the ordinance.****
Sand Harbor Beach (featured in all the Tahoe photos for its beauty) requires reservations to help manage parking and traffic, but it is absolutely worth it! Kings Beach is just a 10-minute drive - shop, eat, and soak up the beauty of the Lake! Also, you'll get bragging rights to being in 2 states on the same day (Kings Beach is in California).

This was one of the very best VRBO stays I ever had. It was a week with my sone for his 30th birthday. The cabin sat in a cozy village of cabins just out of town, but far enough away that it felt we were in the woods, which we were. The amenities were perfect, and Vinnie the host was communicative, caring, and supportive, all while respecting our vacation. We arrived one day before a blizzard and week of heavy snowfall, which made our trip even more fun and magical, since that is what we were hoping for. Vinnie checked in on us to make sure we were OK and offered great suggestions on where to eat, ski, hike, and even bowl when the weather was too rough to enjoy. Even the neighbors were welcoming and helpful. This is a 10 out of 10 and I would stay 100 out of 100 more times when I am back in the area. Thank you Vinnie for your hospitality and for sharing your wonderful home!

Our Mother/Daughter trip was so fun and we enjoyed relaxing on the patio with coffee in the mornings and a cold beverage in the evening. The little trails behind the property with the flowing water was peaceful as well. The highlight of our stay was getting to see Bernie from the loft window.

We are SO happy you had a great time - and what a treat to see Bernie - isn't he incredilbe?! We'd love to have you stay again in the future! -Vinnie
Beautiful setting in Incline Village. Plenty of space, too bad the HOA only allows 2 people. Sand Harbor was close by and I enjoyed the Mountain bike trails, but forgot the Tahoe Rim Trail was advised for even days only for Mountain bikes.
The cabin was perfect for my husband and I. Very cozy and quiet but still close to everything. The host was very accommodating and took great care of us.

The cabin was cozy. Although there were no views from the cabin it was close to the quaint little town and not far from the lake.

Hi Kimberly - good to hear you enjoyed your stay! We're definitely in the "mountainy forest" side of town and love that you enjoyed our little village. It's certainly our favorite place to be when we're not home :)! Hope to see you again next summer - the Shakespeare Festival at Sand Harbor is incredible!
The unit was clean, comfortable, accessable to nearby shopping and activity sites. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The cool mountain air was a welcome relief from the heat of the desert.

We loved having you and Peter here - it was like having really fun neighbors :). Can't wait to see you next summer! Be sure to check out the dates of the Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival - our little amphitheatre is right on the lake, and when the sunsets while the play is on, it's absolutely magical. Marla for Vinnie & Connie
Communication from the owner was amazing. From soon after booking to before and after arrival, the owner made sure everything was covered. The cabin was very comfortable with so much attention to detail. It was like being in your own home.I will definitely be coming back.

This has been our family retreat for nearly 3 decades ... our home away from home. We LOVE Incline Village (on the Nevada side of Lake Tahoe) because it is the quieter, more beach and mountains-oriented side of the lake, with just a short drive to casinos and nightlife.
