About Pamela and Lee Jenkins
I moved into the house in 1994, and purchased it in 1998. Upon our marriage in 1999, my husband moved in with me. For 16 years this was our family home and saw the addition of two children. When the opportunity to buy a larger home nearby presented itself, we moved, but kept the house so we could give others the opportunity to experience downtown Anchorage living.
Pamela and Lee Jenkins purchased this Cottage in 1998
Why Pamela and Lee Jenkins chose South Addition
I bought this house because the area presented the kind of close-knit neighborhood feel I was looking for in a home. Although Anchorage is a very transient place, we have many neighbors who have been here for decades, just as I have been for over 20 years. At the same time, there have been new additions across all age groups, keeping the atmosphere fresh and lively.
What makes this Cottage unique
You can walk to a bakery, a well-stocked grocery, and many downtown attractions. There are bus stops for 4 public transit buses within two blocks. And, if you're driving, the major roads into, out of, and through the city are easily accessible.

Amazing Cedar Alley Cottage
Cedar alley cottage had everything you need for a very comfortable stay. We thoroughly enjoyed the beauty and warmth of the place, not to mention Pamela and Lee were so resourceful with information of Anchorage and places to eat and see off the beaten paths.
The native saying is~
"Esghallghilnguq, Nagaqullghilnguq, Nanghiillghilnguq, Nalluksaghqaq."
"What you do not see, do not hear, do not experience,
you will never really know."
Thank you for creating such a beautiful place to know~
We will return~

We have stayed in several vacation rentals over the years, but this one far exceeds all expectations. Nice quiet area but very close and convenient to downtown Anchorage. Lovely comfy beds with everything you could possibly want and more, including a 20 dollar gift card to an amazing bakery which is within walking distance.
Lee and Pam are wonderful hosts and we would highly recommended this rental to anyone visiting Anchorage, they go way and above to make sure guests are comfortable and have everything they need.
Thank you so much Lee and Pam, really great stay, we will definitely stay again and will recommend you to our family and friends.
Thank you Lialian, we really enjoyed getting to meet you and Eddie; thank you so much for taking such good care of out little cottage!
It was perfect for our needs. It was quiet, peaceful and provided a safe haven for our stay. The extras we had at our disposal will not be found in any hotel room. The beds and linen were soft and plush. Easy access to anywhere in midtown or downtown Anchorage. The recommended local bakery was super for morning treats. We hope to stay here again and again and will recommend to our friends and co-workers.
We absolutely enjoyed having you; thank you for taking such good care of our little cottage! I loved the Puffin, it has found a spot in Cedar Alley! We look forward to your return!
Great Two-bedroom Home in Anchorage
This is a small, but very comfortable home in a central location in Anchorage. Our hosts were most hospitable and treated us to home-made cookies and a gift certificate for a wonderful bakery just a short block away. A grocery store is also just a short walk away. An eight-block walk will get you into downtown Anchorage.
The kitchen is well equipped and stocked with all of the essentials for cooking at home.
We would definitely stay again.
Thank you Howard, and thank you for taking such good care of our little cottage! You were great guests and would definitely be welcomed back anytime!
Excellent vacation rental for family of 4
This cozy cottage in Anchorage is one of the best rental homes we've every stayed in. It is conveniently located in a cute neighborhood within walking distance of downtown Anchorage and around the corner from an amazing bakery. It is beautifully decorated and has everything - I mean EVERYTHING - you might need, from kitchen appliances to snacks to extra blankets and toiletry items. We got in on a late train from Seward, yet the hosts Pam and Lee still greeted us when we arrived and briefly showed us around. They were friendly and demonstrated so much pride in and commitment to this little house, yet they also gave us our own space and never felt intrusive. My children (7 and 9) were completely charmed by Pam, who showed them bins of games, Legos, and other toys - and who even dropped off some art supplies the next day. They loved the house so much they didn't want to leave! Our only regret was that we could only stay two nights.
Thank you so much Carrie, that means a lot to us! Your children were very charming; I loved getting to meet them and you guys! We would love to have you back anytime!
Cedar Alley, five wonderful days
Lee and Pam's vbo was charming, completely equipped with everything you might need, including duct tape! They asked us ahead of time what we would like waiting in the fridge for breakfast since we arrived late at night. They gave us great advice on places to eat and walk to. They are located in an upscale quiet neighborhood, beautiful flowering gardens, and a peaceful outdoor patio. We will definitley return someday.
Thank you!!! You were such great guest; we would love to have you back!!!
