Fanciful mountainside yurt with private bathhouse

Fully furnished yurt full of charm and whimsey. Private detached bathhouse with secure parking onsite. Beautiful setting, forested, hillside with views and private deck and boardwalk. Close to outdoor fun. Far enough away to help you forget your cares, but convenient to shopping and dining options. With a queen bed and a full sized bed, we are able to accommodate from 1 to 4. Families and pet welcome! Open dates in 2026 include March 1-11, March 16-22, April 7-11, April 22-29, May 5-10, July 13-18, Aug 6-Aug 13, Aug 30-Sept 4. Great dates available October-Nov and December.

This was one of our favorite stays! We wanted something private and close to the mountains. The biggest positive for us was the location. 20 minutes to airport, downtown, restaurants nearby, and only a 3 minute drive to the Prospect Heights trailhead. We had everything we needed in the yurt. It stayed warm and cozy all week for us inside. Even with the house nearby it felt really private. Donna and her husband Ed made sure we had a comfortable week with them. We can't wait to come back!

We absolutely loved our time at the yurt! It was so cute and comfy plus it was stocked with everything you could possibly imagine you might need: info of the local area, maps, suggested activities, umbrellas, grocery bags, bear spray, etc. Everything! It was a truly wonderful place to stay.

Tolle Unterkunft!

Diese Unterkunft würde ich jederzeit wieder buchen. Sie war wirklich sehr gemütlich. Ruhig gelegen, praktisch eingerichtet, Mikrowelle, Wasserkocher, Kaffeemaschine, 1 Herdplatte, Töpfe und Pfanne: Alles vorhanden und genügend Steckdosen überall. Es hat überhaupt nicht gestört, dass WC und Dusche separat untergebracht waren.

Dad and sons trip

We stayed a couple days at this awesome yurt during our Alaska trip. The yurt was awesome. Exactly as advertised. But, even better in person. Communication from the host was great. Would love to stay here again! Even saw Moose nearby. Enjoyed a great hike at Prospect Heights Trailhead which is at the end of the road the yurt is on.

Every thing you could need!

The Yurt was beautiful, everything was perfect. Bonnie was always an e-mail away, even when the lock didnt work when we got back at midnight, she came and let us in. It was the cutest place and stocked for all our needs. Thank you Bonnie!!

A Great Place to Stay in Anchorage

The yurt was very comfortable and convenient. It sits next to the owner’s house but still felt very private. A moose and its calf were lounging in the front yard when we arrived.

Amazing and Wonderful Yurt!

We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 night stay at this most amazing Yurt! It was SO cozy and warm and comfortable! Is in a great location in the hillside community overlooking Anchorage...great views! It was only 15-20 minutes away from town and all the local eateries! It is very private and quiet on our hosts' property! And our hosts definitely respond quickly & took care of us! The bathroom was very clean, always warm, and had everything we needed....just a short walk from the Yurt! The Yurt was well stocked, beds were very comfortable and warm! Everything about our stay here gave us a wonderful Alaskan adventure and just an overall awesome experience in Anchorage & visits to surrounding scenic sights & towns! I would HIGHLY recommend this place and would definitely stay here again! We don't have anything negative to say, since it was ALL a positive experience! Kudos to our hosts! We greatly appreciate the warm welcome and making our week long stay an experience we will never forget! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! :)

Hillside Anchorage yurt

Donna's yurt was a unique, comfortable, and awesome place to stay during our visit to Anchorage! The location is private, quiet, perfect for hiking nearby, and we found anywhere in Anchorage to be just a short drive away. We found it to be equipped with everything we needed to enjoy our mellow moments in and around the yurt while we were there and felt everything was safe while we were out and about. Easy and prompt communication with our host(s). The neighborhood moose are an added bonus! We hope to return.

Great, Affordable Alaskan Stay

This yurt was a great place for my family of six to stay for a few nights. It was cozy, had coffee and every necessary amenity. We went skiing every day we stayed there so the small space wasn’t an issue for us. It looks like there is good outside seating area for the summertime that might make the small space work for a large family like ours. From the pictures, I was expecting the yurt to be in a more private location. It is located near a home, but it really didn’t matter in the end. The yurt had unobstructed mountain top views of the city. There is a detached private bathroom which the owners kept wonderfully stocked. Overall, I really enjoyed the yurt and felt it gave us a fun Alaskan experience. We even saw a moose in our backyard! If we need a place to stay in Anchorage again, I will definitely check this yurt out.

Unique, comfortable and convenient, we think you'd be hard-pressed to find a better bargain or place to unwind and either begin or end your Alaskan adventure. A short 15 minutes from the airport, 15 minutes to downtown and many other activities.

Private, clean and brand spanking new rental. We love our yurt and know you will as well. A detached bathhouse is updated, new and super clean with full shower, even equipped with a bidet and all sorts of useful items.
