Just what we wanted!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this villa, it was very clean and well equipped, and most importantly the beds were comfortable (not the usual mattresses that feel as though they're made of bricks). The road leading to the villa is steep and winding in places, but is paved the whole way, so not too bad at all. There is aircon in both bedrooms which is very welcome on the hotter nights, and there is a extensive range of English TV channels which I found very helpful for those nights when I didn't sleep so well (that's just me nothing to do with the villa). I particularly liked that I was able to make the bedroom very dark so did not not wake at the crack of dawn! Also there is plenty of information at the villa advising about places to visit and restaurants to eat at , we particularly liked the BBQ outside with the lovely outdoor covered dining area. Pete met us just outside Torrox and we followed him to the villa , he then gave us a tour of the villa, and explained everything to us, he is very friendly, and made us feel welcome. We had a fabulous relaxing time at this villa it has lovely views of the mountains, and the sea, and is lovely and quiet, and very much hope to be able to stay again in the future!
Dear Sharon, thank you for your comprehensive review. So glad you enjoyed your stay at the villa and shall pass your thoughtful comments on to Pete. We look forward to your future visit. Regards, John.
The road to hell
The villa was excellent in every way, very well looked after and with every possible amenity. The downside was the access road which was downright dangerous at times. Wasn't impressed by Torrox.
Dear Jim, thank you for your comments about the villa, though we were disappointed by the tone of your review title. As other guests have noted, initially the drive up can be challenging but, they soon find it easy to navigate as the road is generally quiet. They all agree that you need the climb to get the wonderful views. Sorry also that you didn't appreciate Torrox, one of the authentic Spanish white villages that are famed throughout Andalucia. Regards, John.
Excellent equipped villa with wonderfull views
We loved our stay here, we have been coming to this area near Nerja for the last 17 years at least once a year, and we have now finally found a villa we would come back to when we are next back here again. We were met by Peter who took us up the road to the villa, and as he said, it's not scary when you've done it a few times. It gets better and manageable, you just need to clock the passing points so someone can reverse back. The road is pretty quiet anyway so no problem really. The villa is lovely with fantastic views (you need to do the climb to get the views!) . The bed in the main bedroom is so comfortable we slept like logs with the air con on. There is everything you need at the villa including bags to go shopping with and a basic larder supply. We had a good Sky TV connection with every channel SkyTV available including BT sports channels so my husband was happy to catch up with the football while we were away. The villa is in a lovely location, we love going to Nerja so we went there most nights to eat out there as there is such a wide and varied choice of restaurants. We have previously visited the Caves at Maro and had lots of road trips up into the mountains surrounding the area. Friglianna is a lovely Spanish village with lovely views. If you can venture afar with a car the Alhambra palace in Granada is definitely worth a visit, but book online beforehand to save queueing.
Dear Janet, Thank you for your great review and we are so glad that you enjoyed your stay so much and look forward to your return visits.
Lovely well equipped Villa with stunning views
Had the most amazing week here at the beginning of September. The villa is on a lovely position with 3 great terraces to enjoy the views and a lovely pool. Well equipped kitchen plus outdoor BBQ and even English TV with Sky etc. Jon the owner was very helpful and so was his friend Pete who guided us up to the Villa. Highly recommended.
Dear Dave, so pleased that you had such a great time at the villa and thank you so much for your recommendation. Regards, John.
Lovely villa, stunning and peaceful location, perfectly equipped.
The villa is a fantastic place for a family stay, with a great pool and everything you need in the property. The scenery is stunning and the location provides quiet and peaceful evenings. Within easy reach of the beach, shops and restaurants, it is perfect for a week in the sun.
Dear Sable, we were delighted to receive your review and pleased that you and the family had such a good time.
Come, put your bags down and relax!
This is a well equipped villa with everything you need for a relaxing stay. Communication with John the villa owner was good and Peter who looks after the villa in Spain meets you, takes you there and shows you where everything is. He is located close by and is on hand if you need any information. Reading all of the other reviews at first the road to the villa is a bit scary! But a few times up and down the hill to the town soon gets you used to it. We would definitely return to this beautifully kept property. We tried a few really good places to eat in Torrox town square and also a picture perfect town, Frigliana, which is nearby and well worth a visit. There is a great restaurant there with a roof terrace that overlooks the valley and town, it's a bit pricey but the food is fabulous, it's called 'La Casino'. Pete also gives good directions to the local supermarkets which are nearby.
The choice of outside spaces to sit, dine or sunbathe is fantastic and spacious and the online photographs do not do the villa justice! Go, enjoy, you will not be disappointed!
Graeme, that you for taking the time to write a review. We welcome your comments on the good service provided by Peter, our property manager. Also you are not the first person to mention that our 'online photos do not do the villa justice'. Perhaps we need to update them or at least improve our photographic skills!
