Nanpa is a three bedroom villa, finished to a very high standard with large open plan ground floor leading onto a spacious private covered patio and private pool.
Patio area provides a tranquil setting for breakfast or dinner, many an enjoyable hour spent in the evening relaxing around the pool with a cold Banks beer watching the fire-flies.
Nanpa is part of a complex of just 28 houses located on the beautiful West Coast of Barbados, (just 1km north of Holetown). This area is known the 'Platinum Coast' which is well justified. The beach is a short walk from Porters Gate. For those who wish to relax at Nanpa then you have the choice of your own private pool. There is also a communal pool and tennis court for use of guests.
Nanpa has been built to a very high standard, fully equipped Italian kitchen with granite work surfaces. Flat screen TV with DVD player (selection of DVD's for guests to view).
Free WiFi, which is pretty much essential these days and the wifi in my house in Barbados is faster than I get at home, there is also cable TV available for guests.
Please note that in addition to the cost quoted by HomeAway there is also a charge for electricity usage. I have had to introduce this because In the past I have had huge electricity bills because guests kept going out for the day and left the air conditioning running with windows open. Air conditioning use is the main way that guests use electricity, the only way l can be sure that air-conditioning is used correctly is to introduce a sensible method of “pay as you go”.
This is how the system works.
On arrival the guests take a note of the meter reading (photo with smart phone usually) and email this to me.
On departure take second reading and send me this reading as well.
Guests then pay £35 per 100 units used.
This is TOTALLY NON PROFIT, it is purely you, the guest PAYING FOR JUST WHAT YOU USE.
The reading is taken from the digital meter which is on the outside wall of the house.
This fee is between myself and the guest, HomeAway don’t have an option to add this cost.
So.... upon booking and payment of your HomeAway deposit I request a second deposit for electricity usage. This is at a rate of £150 per week, payable direct to me via cheque, PayPal or bank transfer..
On return and on receipt of the start and end meter readings I then calculate amount of electricity used.
To give you an example of cost, Karen and I stayed at the house in August last year for three weeks, we had two friends with us so a total of four adults in the house. Total cost of what we used over three weeks for four adults was just £150.
