Family Time and Amazing Views at Castillo Coral

Castillo Coral is a short walk from the beach and offers panoramic ocean views from its porch and the roof top deck. We love kids and dogs and families but partiers should search elsewhere:) Castillo Coral includes a professional grade kitchen, large living room and dining area, 2 master bedrooms, three full bathrooms and a washer and dryer. The primary master bedroom has a queen bed. It is a large room with an ensuite bathroom containing a soaking tub, shower and private toilet. Wake up to a beautiful view of the ocean through sliding glass doors. The secondary master bedroom has a full bed and a twin bed with a bathroom with a shower and toilet across the hallway. Both rooms offer amazing views of the ocean. There is an area off the kitchen in the renovated garage which includes one bedroom, a bathroom and a small sitting area with a television. The bedroom has a full bed with a twin bunk above it. This area can sleep up to 3 people and is the perfect place to keep children entertained while the adults have the more luxurious portion of the house. The bottom portion of the house is reserved for owner use but usually empty. ABSOLUTE MAX 8 people - each person over 6 is an additional $10 a night.

Perfect location with amazing views

This house worked perfectly for our party of 7. The house had a very spacious layout & had lots of room for all of us to relax. The property was very clean & well supplied with everything we needed to make breakfast each morning. The back patio had lots of seating (including a hammock) & had the perfect view of the ocean. This location was favorable due to its easy access to the beach, restaurants, & other attractions. Julia & Matt were very helpful & friendly & we would definitely stay here again!

Great vacation!

This was a great rental for our family. The host communicated with us before we arrived to make sure it went smoothly. There was apparently a water issue the day before we got there, but it was fixed before we arrived. The house was spacious, clean, and comfortable. We did all our cooking there, and my sister was excited about the large gas stove. It was hot in Rocky Point, but the AC was nice and cool. Most importantly, the house has gorgeous ocean views and is just a very short walk to the beach, where we spent most of our time. If you haven’t been to Las Conchas, the beach is beautiful, sandy, and peaceful. You can find some wildlife and some great shells at low tide in the tide pools, which is our favorite thing to do. We would definitely come back!

Renting the property was extremely easy. The host was very responsive and kind. Check in process was extremely easy as well. This place is exactly as was listed. No frills, and it’s just fine for the location. The reason we did not give it five stars is that there were some things that weren’t “perfect.” First of all, this is a beach house, but there were no beach amenities. No beach towels available, no beach chairs or anything else. Second, while the oven and stove was a dream for me and my boyfriend… As we love gas appliances… It was not easy to light. The grill outside function, but it was not in the best condition. Also, the bathrooms could use a little bit of repair work, and things like the pillows were not very comfortable. Finally, there are appliances like a popcorn maker in to coffee makers… But there is no toaster. However, the Wi-Fi worked well, and the place was clean, there are a lot of pots and pans, and there was enough space for our theee kids to each gave their own bed. In summary, the place was fine for the price. And the owners were responsive and kind.

The house was excellent, the view magnificent. Caretaker was always there when you needed him. Only sad part is that soeone is building a house in the front row beach access. But still very easy to get to the beach from the street.

Terrific house

From booking to checking out this was the best place we have stayed. Julia is communicative and available, answered my questions quickly. The house is spacious and fully stocked. My 8 year old son especially enjoyed his “lounge” - the room off the kitchen with its own little living to, bathroom, and bunk beds. The view is amazing and the walk to the beach is quick and easy.

We had a nice stay in Rocky Point with our family of 4 plus a caregiver. The house had everything we needed for the weekend. Julia was a great hostess and Roberto who was managing the property came by to make sure we had what we needed. Beach access is a little far for our special needs child who has a difficult time walking and with chairs and umbrella so we drove the car closer. Bring good beach shoes, it’s pretty rocky and hard on the feet. There is a sand bar just off shore so it makes for a huge beach with lots of fun critters when the tide is out. Even on a really hot day we had a ton of fun at the beach. A few things that could have made our stay better would be larger coffee cups and more comfortable patio furniture. We would stay here again and would recommend the property to others.,

Just ok for me!

I'll start with the positive, for the money this was a good value and the owners are very nice but to be honest I'd rather spend a bit more to have a private home closer to the beach with better views. I knew the family lived downstairs but I didn't realize that their play area was in the same spot as our balcony. It was little off putting to have their small children playing in the middle of our vacation we really were sharing the same space I was hoping it would be a little more private. Also the notes about being quiet after 10 was daunting. We're on vacation so attempting to be really quiet that early really put a damper on our time there. The view (outside of the kids swing sets and jungle gyms/toys) was mostly the roofs of all of the houses between us and water. It wasn't very appealing. The beds were hard and uncomfortable and the house is a bit dated. All in all it's a very basic rental, if you're looking for a cheap rental and don't care about comfort or privacy it's a great deal

Great Las Conchas Vacation

The house was perfect for our group of 5 adults and 2 kids. The ocean view was lovely, and the house is just 2 rows back from the beach. Everything we needed was at the house, and we appreciated thoughtful inclusions like propane for grilling, plenty of drinking water, and toiletries. Julia was also very helpful and communicative. We had such a relaxing time and would love to come back!

My father built this house in 2000 after he moved out west to retire from working in New York City for 50 years. His hope was to rent and maintain it throughout his retirement which he did successfully until 2008. When the economy tanked in the U.S. he was unable to keep up with maintenance. Also in 2008 he turned 80 so that slowed him down a little:) We moved down to Rocky Point from Colorado to support my father in July 2015. He has since passed away but we are here to stay (for now). The houses needed some updating and we are working getting them to their full potential. I, Julia, am working on the rental management and aesthetics of the houses and my husband, Matt is doing everything else. My two children, ages 2 and 4, are enjoying having this time with their family, learning Spanish and playing on the beach.

Why they chose this property

This property has amazing views and even though it is the 3rd row from the beach there is a path around the house in front (Hacienda Alamos VRBO # 756315) that leads almost directly to the beach so you do not have to walk around the block on the road. We hope to get renters who are coming down to Mexico to enjoy each other's company and the beach. We provide a family friendly atmosphere and are always ready for a chat but are also comfortable leaving you on your own for a peaceful vacation.
