Exzellent bis auf 1-2 Ausnahmen

Das Postive: Olivier hat uns sehr freundlich empfangen. Die Unterkunft ist tadellos, grossraeumig, sehr interessant und behutsam renoviert, beinhaltet unzaehlige schoene Gegenstaende. Man fuelt sich frei und willkommen. Parkplatz haben wir direkt vor der Tuere gefunden. Das Negative: Was gestoert hat, war dass ueber die Toillete der Kanalisationsgeruch fast untertraeglich sich zumindest im Erdgeschoss ausgebreitet hat (die Wohnung hat 2 Stockwerke). Das duerfte ein Konstruktionsfehler der Toillette sein und das Sifon haltet den Kanalisationsgeruch nicht auf. Wenn dies repariert wird, kaemen wir sehr gerne wieder. Die Strasse draussen ist etwas wild - viel Hundekot und einmal naechtliche laute Schlaegerei ausgehend vom Haus gegenueber. Dafuer kann Olivier aber nichts dafuer. Summa Summarum: Das Preis-Leistungsverhaeltnis war trotzdem gut und summa summarum haben wir den Aufenthalt geschaetzt.

On a bp apprécié le calme et le jardin . A part les toilettes au rez-de-chaussée et l'abattent très lourd que 2 personnes dont une petite de 5 ans se sont pris sur le dos en s'asseyant .

Un séjour bien agréable

Un accueil sympa, de bons conseils, logement agréable, il manquait pour notre cas, le coin salon pour se détendre en regardant la TV, ou un extérieur mieux amménagé?...il y a tous les commerces à proximité, Gray est idéalement située pour découvrir et visiter les petites villes alentour.

Grande maison ancienne dans son jus.

Retour dans les années 60 ou 70 avec cette grande maison ancienne conservée "dans son jus". Décoration hétéroclite un peu déroutante. La salle de bains au rez-de-chaussée et la cuisine au 1er étage sont peu pratiques. Le jardin est en friche.

Belle découverte

Nous avons passé une très belle semaine à Gray. La location est totalement fidèle aux photos et descriptif et l'accueil des plus chaleureux. Pas envahissant, le propriétaire est néanmoins très disponible pour échanger sur nos visites. Il connaît bien la région et sait enrichir nos retours par des petites anecdotes ou explications. Nous sommes contents de l'avoir rencontré. Si l'envie vous prend de venir dans la région n'hésitez pas, vous ne regretterez pas.

Holiday in Gray

We really enjoyed our week in Gray and all of us loved the ambiance of the accomodation. Gray was our starting point to visit a lot of sights.

Excellent stay!

We had an amazing time staying in this absolutely beautiful house that felt like home. The host is very friendly and the garden is a nice extra. Gray is a charming town and if you have a car, plenty of activities can be found (fairly) nearby. We would absolutely recommend to stay in this apartment!

Sehr gemütlich und liebevoll!

Wir hatten 3 herrliche Tage in dieser schöner Wohnung. Es war alles vorhanden, Jedes Zimmer war mit Antiquitäten eingerichtet, wir wollten die Wohnung gar nicht verlassen. Der Innenhof mit Garten war ein Ort der Ruhe. Olivier war absolut unkompliziert und entspannt...das waren wir später auch! ( 2 Erwachsene / 2 Jugendliche / 3 Übernachtungen )

Different

We two 70 plus experienced renters had a great fortnight in this unusual house and delightful town. The description is accurate but we have 2 reservations, neither very serious. First, while the 3 bedrooms are spacious there's a lack of comfortable sitting facilities. Second, the outside area is rather unkempt - the bushes need trimming & weeds cleared. The property is well equipped for cooking and was very clean on our arrival. The owners are very helpful but not intrusive, and Olivier speaks good English. Street parking is handy, but we prefered to use a small carpark about 100 yards away. The town is better than described with lots of seating on the river banks and a lot of boat traffic through the lock. We used the cafe "Les 2 Terasses" & the restaurants Olivier recommended. Very good value for money.

The owners who live in the main part of the house are able to offer advices for your holidays in Burgundy, France.
Also they will gladly share their passion: Claire is practicing ayurvedic massage (indian relaxation method); Olivier is a cabinetmaker-restorer, he also has two other activities : a boutique of antiques and local wine shop in Gray, our little town. The apartment is tastefully furnished and decorated with some antiques from the area.

Gray is visited, but not overly-touristy, it is well situated for visiting the chateaux and vineyards of 3 famous wine regions: Burgundy, Alsace and Jura / Arbois. On the Burgundy area, you will also discover the historic city of Dijon (Dukes of Burgundy Palace), the famous vineyards of Beaune (Hospices de Beaune) and the great cistercian abbey of Fontenay (UNESCO WHS). The Franche-Comté area will offer you the Time Museum of Besançon, a jewel of french Renaissance, and its Citadel (UNESCO WHS), Ornans on the Loue valley (native town and museum of Gustave Courbet), the Saline Royale of Arc et Senans (UNESCO WHS), or Ronchamp and its contemporary chapel from Le Corbusier.
