I am owner of the villa and feel the need to reply to this review with which I mostly and strongly disagree (and lucky for me many others who stayed in this villa and gave it very positive reviews). First of all, I do not understand the remark about 'communal areas being a little tired'. An attractive feature of the house is that it is part of a cul de sac of 5 houses, with beautiful and well maintained greenery in all communal spaces. I can post pictures for those interested. Furthermore, I have stayed in the house myself for 10 years now and I know one neighbour sometimes plays music. But actually I even find this 'local flavour' (the music is in Greek) amusing, especially because it always stops quickly (and it is played around 5 PM usually). I never had any prior guest complaining about it, most probably for the same reason. In that light I cannot believe the tenant when she writes that 'music was pIayed all day'. The same goes for the 'noisy road'. I never had any complaint about this. The villa is in a residential area, so yes, there are cars driving nearby but that's what happens in such areas. An alternative would be a house 'in the middle of nowhere', far from all amenities. It's a choice one makes, although I also think that one of the big advantages of the house is that it offers a great combination of peacefulness (rurality) and proximity to busy tourist areas. Furthermore, since the house is in a residential area you will also find dogs (there are a lot in Cyprus everywhere). Having said that, for completeness sake contact has already been made with the nearest dog owner to avoid even the possibility of any such nuisance for future tenants and a solution has been agreed. So, no further nuisance should be expected from that source. But again, if you look at the reviews of the villa over the last 7 years on this website you see no complaints about dogs either. Then the complaint about the 'lack of recommendations for restaurants and places to visit'. I can be short about that. It is simply not true that I did not give such recommendations. The manual I send to all my tenants (including this one) before arrival, contains such recommendations and references to places in the house (hall and kitchen) where one can find information about other places. The complaint about 'lack of emergency contacts' has been duly noted. Such contacts will be provided to future tenants (even though a google search can do miracles, but anyway).
