A beautiful, private setting with terrific fishing and boating opportunities
We had a lovely week at Beau Rever. The house was very accommodating for our large group. The kitchen is well-stocked, beds are comfy, and views are unbeatable. We enjoyed canoeing and boating on both adjacent bodies of water. Although we didn't have so much luck with what we caught everyone nevertheless enjoyed fishing and crabbing so close at hand. We had a few rainy days, and the children also loved the game table, the pool and air hockey . All in all a great stay and to be recommended!
The property and home was amazing. The Potomac River joining the mouth of Chesapeake Bay right in front and the Creek behind the house. Everywhere you looked you can see water. The house included all the possible amenities you could imagine. Tom put all the information you needed in easy to use binders so there was no searching for anything. The cable happen to be out when we got to the home. I called Tom he immediately had the cable company come out to fix it. We also needed Beach size umbrellas but could only find one and a broken one. Tom drove to the house with two new umbrellas and stands for them. The location was perfect for our dream family vacation, plenty of activities for our large group to join in on. Plenty of space for family to reconnect and share stories and remembrances. We kayaked, paddle boarded, caught lots of crabs, fished and relaxed in the beautiful new out ground pool. We were able to watch the bald eagles, the ospreys a pod of dolphins. At night the sky was filled with stars and you could catch the breeze off the bay. If you want to experience the Potomac River and Chesapeake Bay this is the place. Before we left our group was already planning our return.
We love to hear the stories from our wonderful guests. So many family memories have been made at Beau Rever. We hope to see you again next year.
Perfect family vacation
This is the second year in a row that my family has stayed here. We loved it! The only reason we aren't booking for next year is we are looking to vacation in another location. But, we may be back in the future. We have stayed at places along the bay and surrounding areas for the past 14 years and this house has been the best all around for our group. It has several seating areas for eating and relaxing inside and outside, an awesome above ground pool with a deck, water in the front and back, a kayak, a paddle boat, a canoe, a paddle board, a dock for your boat, a nice fishing pier, a well stocked kitchen, a welcome basket with wine and some local items, a pool table and game room and so much more. The kids had plenty to do and the older folks had a great seat and view to relax. And Tom is friendly and helpful if needed! Our entire family group from age 3 to 71 enjoyed staying here!
My husand and I along with four generations of our extended family (ages 18 months to 86 yrs) had the pleasure of spending a week together in this beautiful home (inside & out). We arrived at Beau Rever only to find a beautifully decorated, pristine home with views of the water on both sides of the house that will take your breath away. Sunrises in the front and sunsets in the back cannot even be described on paper. Tom was the easiest host to deal with, and his response time to emails and messages is outstanding. There were comfortable beds for all of us, and plenty of room to spread out, yet all be together on one floor. The kitchen was well equipped, but with a family that loves food, we just found it a little cramped trying to find freezer room for everything (could have been because there were some shelves missing). Just want to note this to Tom. All family members commented on how super fast the internet was, and there are TV's in all rooms, along with a wonderful message chair that everyone really enjoyed. There was a John boat that we got to enjoy on the river, and two canoes which were a lot of fun. My son and I took a swim in the river with a beautiful sandy bottom, while the rest of the family enjoyed the beautiful, clean, huge pool at the house. I could go on and on, but you really have to go yourself to appreciate everything Tom's house has to offer. We all wished we didn't have to leave, and we sure hope to go back!
Awesome sunrises & sunsets, great area for fishing.
We really enjoyed everything about house, fishing right out back and front. Great view of sunsets & sunrises from the house. Pool was very clean! We enjoyed crabbing,& sited some eagles and a lot of ospreys & herons.
Perfect for family reunions!
We had a family reunion here in June and had a wonderful time! From the start, we were welcomed with a basket of goodies , which was such a nice surprise. All the rooms were very comfortable and charming and accommodated 25 of us. My uncles, all over the age of 70, loved fishing from morning until night out on the pier, which was also a great spot for catching the sunrise. The kids loved the daily dips in the pool and the game table in the back room. Even my uncles played some pool. Having a grill and the space on the creek size was perfect for a family luau! We also appreciate how responsive and kind the Beaudets were whenever we contacted them. We're very glad they shared their wonderful vacation home on VRBO. We would definitely stay again! Highly recommended!
