Assis dans les contreforts de Croagh Patrick et surplombant la baie de Clew, Gortmore est une chambre 3 bungalow détaché avec vue imprenable dans toutes les directions. Achevé en 1999, le bungalow est moderne, bien planifiée, lumineux, aéré et spacieux. Assis sur son propre site, il est sans vis à vis et offre un accès direct à la route principale Westport-Loiusburgh. La propriété est située dans le village de Murrisk qui est à 6 kms de Westport, une ville identifiée par le Irish Times en 2012 comme «le meilleur endroit pour vivre en Irlande". Nos invités ont été les familles à la recherche d'un hébergement sûr amical, marcheurs actifs, les golfeurs, les pêcheurs, les cyclistes et les artistes ainsi que tout simplement ceux qui recherchent la paix, de paysages paisibles et de détente.

Instructions for entering house were clear and helpful. Instructions inside the house for heating, hot water, oven, and others were excellent references when we had a question. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped. We appreciated having a washer and dryer plus laundry detergent. Communication with Mary was excellent. The view from the house is lovely and the location is very quiet.

The house was positioned between 2 National parks and many other "Brown sign" adventures. We spent 2 weeks hiking and enjoying the beauty of the surrounding area. The house was super co.fortable and we hated to leave. Our host and her helpers went beyond to ensure that we enjoyed our stay. We would whole heartedly recommend this propert.

Lovely bungalow in splendid location with amazing views. Lovely area for a walk or run in the morning with lots of roads of the main road. Within walking distance of Croagh Patrick and whilst on the main road no noise or other impact of traffic. Would recommend as a base for travelling around

Beautiful views

This is a lovely property with spectacular views from every window - we loved sitting in the living room watching the sunsets over Clew Bay. The cottage is 15mins walk from the start of the Croagh Patrick hike and 10mins from a lovely gastro pub. The cottage is well stocked and very comfortable, it set back from the road so it is very private and quiet.

Great location - quiet, beautiful, close to Westport

The house is clean and comfortable, with a nice kitchen and lovely views. The property manager checked in by text several times to make sure things were OK. You can walk to the Croagh Patrick trail which is a challenge but well worth the climb if you like to hike.

Fantastic location and amazing views

Very comfortable, lots of room for everyone. Kitchen is well equipped and all the rooms are well furnished. Well located for nearby walks and access to nearby Westport. Loved the views of Croag Patrick at the back (when not covered in cloud!) and the bay at the front. I'd definitely book again as there are so many nearby places to visit we didn't manage to get to them all :)

A truly wonderful property

We stayed a week but wished we could have stayed longer. Its a lovely property, with stunning views and is very peaceful yet it is only 10 minutes to the centre of Westport. Murrisk has a fabulous pub which is within a few minutes walk. The property is incredibly well stocked with everything you could possibly need and is very comfortably furnished and very clean. Mary was very helpful throughout. It is a house that we would like to come back to.

Fantastic Property

Fantastic property in an ideal location to explore county Mayo. We will hopefully be returning for a third time later this year. The house has everything you need for a holiday and there are stunning views from every window. The local gastro pub is within walking distance, as is the foot of Croagh Patrick. Amazing Views; Great House!

We wanted a house with views of Ireland, close to Westport and other places we wanted to see. This was perfect. Mary is a great hostess. Throughout the rental process and while on site, she was readily responsive, informative and flexible. We loved the house! I love the floorplan. It worked so well for my husband, daughter and her two daughters. We love the area, with so much to see and do. What an amazing place to visit! The Mayo (and especially Westport) is a Gem. Mary's house is a perfect stay.

I designed and built Gortmore in 1999 and try to visit as much as possible as I have strong family ties in Murrisk and love the countryside but I live in Leeds for most of the year.

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

My family come from Murrisk and although I was brought up in Northern Ireland, I find County Mayo such a beautiful county. I chose the site because of the wonderful views over Clew Bay from the Living Room, bedroom and kitchen. The dining room has a great view of the pilgrimage mountain, Croagh Patrick. The bungalow was designed to be very light and airy.

It is just off the main Westport- Lousisburgh Road so no-one has difficuly finding it. At the same time it is completely private on its own elevated site.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

All my visitors are very impressed with the views and with the kitchen. Sometimes they arrive at night and waken up to a complete mirror imagine reflection of nearby Murrisknabol in Clew Bay.

On the practical side the kitchen has every modern convenience and it is spacious so that on a big occasion several people can cook at once.

The living room is really the quiet room, but does contain the modern TV with Free Sat.

Wireless Internet is the most recent addition enabling me to keep in touch with family back in Leeds.
