Encantadora cabaña independiente en el popular pueblo costero de Thornham

Dale Cottage es un refugio vacacional independiente y encantador (160 metros cuadrados) en una posición aislada pero conveniente en el corazón de la siempre popular aldea de Thornham. La cabaña ha sido completamente renovada con 4 dormitorios (2 en suite) y un baño familiar grande. Hay un amplio y cómodo salón con estufa de leña, una cocina / comedor independiente con capacidad para 8/9 y una amplia gama de equipos (lavadora, lavavajillas, frigorífico, microondas). Un gran hall de entrada ofrece asientos adicionales, así como espacio para ponerse abrigos / zapatos.

En el exterior hay estacionamiento en la calle para hasta 3 autos en la parte delantera. El jardín trasero es grande, cuidado y cuenta con una zona de juegos infantiles y una cómoda casa de verano.

Excellent stay in comfortable cottage

We were a multi generational family group, celebrating a 90th birthday. The cottage met all our requirements, and was superbly comfortable and well equipped. Excellent location, and really good communication from the owner. Thank you, we would love to return!

Another fantastic stay at Dale cottage

Plenty of room for us all (4 adults and 2 babies 2). Travel cot and high chair available to use - very handy. Huge garden for 2 year old to run about in. Lovely cottage, had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. And a great location for visiting our favourite places along the coast. We’ll definitely be back.

Lovely property in a quiet location

Lovely property. Ideal for family groups. We had three generations and it was ideal having the two downstairs rooms meaning Grandparents didn't have to manage stairs. The generous garden was also a big bonus. Also being close to lovely beaches and a wonderful farm shop.

Fabulous cottage, amazing location

We loved everything about this property. Good layout, excellent facilities, comfortable bedrooms, quality furnishings. Lots of extras such as books, games, DVDs and kitchen items. Great location for visiting the local area, lovely walks from the door or a short drive away. Fantastic amenities close by; pubs, shops, etc. Would highly recommend.

Comfortable spacious house

Lovely garden and 3 good bathrooms. Location in Thornham village. A good walk to the coast but well worth it. Local food shops expensive. Heacham nearest supermarket

Excellent for a multi-generational family holiday

The cottage met all expectations for our family holiday to celebrate a significant birthday milestone! Thank you for providing space for all 9 of us, ranging from 20 months-70 years old, in which to relax and enjoy the spacious garden. It was a welcome return for some to wonderful North Norfolk and a first time for others, made even more special by a week of glorious weather. Precious family memories made!

Fantastic family holiday

We have just returned from a week long break over Easter staying at Dale Cottage and we had a fantastic time. The house was beautiful and very spacious and our 3 children loved the garden and all the toys that were available to them. I would highly recommend Dale Cottage as it is situated in the lovely village of Thornham which is a great base for a wonderful holiday in north Norfolk... we will definitely be going back and staying there again.

Really lovely

Really nice house in the lovely Thornham. Lots of room for 8 of us. Garden is a good size for the kids to play in - could have done with the grass being cut as it was v long. Summer house will be a lovely addition when it’s done especially on a sunny evening. House has everything you need and host very helpful before our stay updating us on the area.

Family friendly & Fantastic location

Booked this last minute and first time to north norfolk. Great location with Hunstanton just 10 mins away and had everything we needed for our young family. Brancaster beach 5 mins the other way with a long sandy beach. Very nice! Dale cottage was home from home. Beautiful big garden and my 4 year old son and our auntie up early everyday to see the woodpecker and pheasant mooching about! Very clean homely and modern home set in a beautiful village. Local pubs, farm shop with fantastic restaurant which we ate in 3/4 days! Highly recommend and cant wait to return...

Perfection in beautiful north Norfolk

Dale cottage is everything we wanted for our long weekend in beautiful north Norfolk. The cottage itself was immaculate, perfectly set up for 2 families (4 kids) has a wonderful garden (front and back!) and ample parking. It’s situated in a really pretty and quiet village with a great local pub and a superb deli a five minute walk away. Drove Orchard is also around 10 minutes away which offers fish and chips, pizzas and all sorts. We spent the weekend driving to various beaches and visiting other villages which are all within close proximity. There are beautiful walks on the doorstep also. All in all we had one of the best weekends away with friends and we’ll be back!

Fabulous stay

What a wonderful family weekend stay we've had at Dale Cottage. The property is spacious, stylish and very well equpped and the garden is absolutely amazing. It's huge! Wonderful to see children running around on the lawn in the sunshine as the weather was unexpectly very good! This is a brilliant house for family groups as there are different seating areas but a lovely big kitchen table to gather round at mealtimes. It was recommended to me by two different family friends who had both loved it and I also highly recommend! Host Dave was great and made everything easy and straightforward sending us all the info we needed beforehand. Thank you Dave for a fabulous break!

Thornham Revisited

I first visited North Norfolk in my late teens, a boy from the North discovering this very different world. It was love at first sight. Later marrying a Cambridge girl, and moving to Cambridge, we were able to enjoy many visits, and Thornham became a favourite, certainly in the Winter. We would walk on the salt marsh, as far as the beach, and then repair to the Lifeboat Inn for lunch, just bliss. The front of Dale Cottage is built in the Norfolk vernacular, flint with red brick, an architecture which makes this stretch of coast particularly lovely. But behind the front door of this humble cottage is a modern built interior with every comfort one could need. The salt marsh is still bleak. To return to a home like this is just perfect after a day or hours outside, the log burning stove in Autumn or Winter, the delightful and private back garden in summer. My weekend was my birthday celebration with my daughter's family, and so with two of our grandchildren. Dale cottage is very well equipped with toys to fascinate the young. They shared a charming children's bedroom upstairs. From first booking we have had nothing but help and advice from the owner. He and the house get my personal imprimatur, without mental reservation as they say when swearing in the American President. Keep up the standard. Kenneth Wheatcroft November 2017

Lovely stay at Dale Cottage

Dale Cottage provided everything we needed for a lovely family break. The bedroom arrangements were perfect for our children and their grandparents. Thornham is a great location for exploring North Norfolk. We definitely hope to visit again!

Hi - we're a busy working family of four living in Hertfordshire. We visit Dale Cottage as often as we can.

We enjoy being active outdoors, eating out and entertaining friends and family. Dale Cottage enables us to do all of the things we love in a wonderful setting.

We love being close to the sea and great beaches with our young children. We get great pleasure from being outdoors and getting away from the normal business of everyday life.

We bought Dale Cottage as our own 2nd home so that our children can enjoy all of the benefits of beach and country living. We have refurbished it to a high standard so that it feels welcoming and spacious.

We adore the village for its location and great facilities for visitors.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

We love the secluded nature and the tranquillity it brings whilst being close to great pubs and restaurants.

Dale Cottage has a great sense of space both indoors and outdoors and never feels cramped even with 8 people (and sometimes more) staying.

There's something really special about sitting in the living room with a roaring fire, watching the wildlife in the garden and knowing that the beaches are all so close.
