Villa Papoilas er en rummelig 4-værelses villa med privat swimmingpool i 10min gang til Carvoeiro centrum og dens strand. Villaen er veludstyret og har delvis air-conditioning (2 af soveværelserne og lounge) og WiFi. Villaen er solidt bygget med stærke vægge, klinkegulve gennem ud og skodder på alle vinduer og det er derfor let at holde cool selv i de varme sommermåneder. Villaen er beliggende i enden af ​​en lille blind vej vej med sikker parkering (aflåselige porte til vejen). Nogle havudsigt fra haven, men især fra tagterrassen. Wonderful Stay

We had a wonderful stay at the villa. It is well equipped, spacious and has a fantastic outside BBQ/pool area. The pool was lovely and warm and enjoyed lots by our daughter. Would recommend!

We had a wonderful stay here during a mini heatwave. The aircon throughout the house worked like a dream. The kitchen was well equipped. We had a few BBQs and my husband commented on how good it was, good height options for the grill. Short walk into the town, as others have commented it is a steep hill, be prepared for a calves workout!We would definitely stay here again.

Lovely spacious villa

Stayed as a group of 8 adults Great villa within easy reach of centre. Quite a steep hill but taxis very cheap if you don't fancy the walk back. Well presented and very clean. Would stay there again.

Lovely villa & great location

Really lovely villa up the top of the hill. Lovely pool area and great to relax and sunbath. Great space and large rooms and kiving room area. Great location and we even enjoyed walking up the hill. Recommended!

Very clean property - nice little welcome pack. All bedrooms with aircon . A really lovely pool and pleasant gardens. We didn’t hire a car as the town was only a 10 minute walk but the hill down ( and up!) is really steep so a car would be recommended. Overall it ticked all the boxes for us and would recommend to to others.

Beautiful villa with everthing you need

We spent a week in villa Papoilas in July 2018. We were eight people from 3 to 79 years of age. We enjoyed it very much, the villa had everything we needed, spacious, well-equiped kitchen, perfect pool. And location was fine, 10 minutes walk to the village/beach (which is 15 min to come back up the hill). We had a rental car which we mainly used for going to the large supermarket (10 min).

Perfectly located villa

Along with 2 other couples my wife and I spent a wonderful 9 days in the villa. It's charm is augmented by the professional set up from Sam who manages it to Celia who comes in and tidies up and cleans. Extremely well equipped , comfortable , airy and spacious it's perfect for couples or families. Our holiday was made even better by us being allowed to take our dog who loved roaming the lovely gardens. The villa is a 10 minute walk to the centre of Carvoeiro ...15 minutes return due to the hill! I highly recommend the villa.

Lovely stay

The property was well equipped and no shortage of kitchen utensils/crockery. The pool was large and Sam was brilliant at arranging the heating of it for our 13 month old so she didn’t get to cold in the water. Bedrooms were a really good size, plus bathrooms. Built in BBQ was used twice in our week’s stay. The only thing we struggled with was the walk to and from the town centre as there was a steep road to contend with. Having a 75 year old and also a pushchair was a little daunting, but made the most of taxis which was not to expensive between 5 of us. Overall a lovely holiday had!

Needs more maintenance. Some footpaths had bricks missing, some locks on doors did not operate as they should and an awful permanent smell of drains from the cloakroom WC such that the window had to be kept open.

Wonderful villa for a family holiday

This is a wonderful villa for a family holiday and we really enjoyed our stay there. There are four good sized bedrooms, including the master bedroom with an en-suite, and they all have air conditioning. The pool area works really well, with a decent sized swimming pool and plenty of space around it for sun loungers, as well as a built in family sized barbecue and seating area which we used several times. And we found that the flow from the living room onto the balcony and then down to the pool worked really well. There were six of us and we could all do what we wanted in comfort but still feel in contact with everyone else. The villa is quiet but only a short walk from the lively town of Carvoeiro where there are plenty of shops and restaurants - the walk back is up a steep hill as others have noted but you can get a taxi instead for under €5.

Fun Place

The villa was as described. Sam was fast in communicating and definitely facilitated both our entry and exit from the villa.The children enjoyed the pool immensely though the weather was a bit chilly. We either walked into town and took an Uber back or drove down and back. The kitchen was well equipped and the house was comfortable even though a bit outdated and with an unrepaired broken water line in the master bedroom.. Our main issue was the laundry. With two children and light packing, we needed to wash clothes. The washer was perfect, but the drying racks kept blowing over. A line for hanging clothes would really help. Despite the described downsides, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and would recommend it, especially for families with children who enjoy pools.

June 2023 holiday.

Beautiful villa in great location close to the centre of Carvoeiro which was only ten minute walk down the hill. Longer coming back, especially pushing a buggy up the steep hill, but taxis very cheap. Villa was very well equipped and pool was perfect for relaxing. A number of steps down to the pool area from the verandah but safety gates fitted for young chindren. Beautiful sea views from the roof.

Perfect holiday home

We had a great holiday, the villa is very welcoming and homely. There is everything you need - wonderful pool, well equipped kitchen and comfy beds. Lots of space for families. Sam was very helpful. Couldn't recommend it highly enough.

Très bon séjour

Rien à dire tout était parfait pour passer des vacances en famille. Maison et piscine très propre . Proximité de la page malgré une colline à remonter pour rentrer. Très bon accueil, Sam est très agréable. Nous reviendrons.

Great villa that met all our family holiday requirements

A very spacious villa, in a quiet area, with all required facilities, including a pool that was the perfect size and temperature for a family. Great location with just a short walk into Carvoeiro. Sam, the property manager, dealt with any questions very quickly. Overall we had a great trip and would highly recommend this villa

Fantastic

We had a brilliant holiday with our family. The villa had every home comfort and was great for the children who loved the swimming pool and the garden. Everything was spotless and well kept and actually looks better than the photos show. I would definitely recommend this villa as it’s in a excellent location just a short walk into carvoeiro and it’s lovely sheltered beach and has lots of restaurants and bars although it’s a steep hill walking back you can get a taxi which costs about 4-5 euros.

Every need catered for. Location great -apart from huge hill on way home - but do-able! Pool area wonderful. Only criticism is outside tables not big enough for more than 4 people each - ok can put together but not same height. Also would benefit from pull out shade over verandah whilst eating/reading. Otherwise super. Loads of equipment in kitchen. Other furnishings comfortable. We had a great holiday. Manager very helpful and on call when needed.

Excellent spacious villa perfect for families

We stayed at Villa Popoilas for a week in June. There were 4 adults and 4 children and the villa was spacious enough for us all to be there without being on top of each other. It was very well equipped with everything we needed and very clean. The maid came in a couple of times and changed towels etc. The outside space was really lovely and beautifully kept. Loads of places to sit and enjoy the sun etc. The pool was a real highlight! Excellent size and loads of space around it and again kept really clean. The walk into town is about 10 mins but it's a steep hill so you need to be fairly fit but wasn't a problem for us. Sam Carr is the lady we dealt with when booking and she is very friendly and easy to deal with. This was our first time in a villa and we were not disappointed. In fact we were spoilt! Definitely recommend this villa.

brilliant villa

seven of us stayed at this villa, lots of room, pool was great as was the Barbeque area, lovely to sit out by the pool at night with all the pool lights on. wi-fi was ok if you were in the main room, The walk down into town is less than 10 minutes, but coming back it is up a big hill , still if your reasonably fit its ok. A taxi back is about 5 euros. I think its best to have a car as there are many brilliant beaches around the area, and the big supermarkets are to far away to walk too and carry shopping back, but you could get away without having one as the town is close. Sam is easy to deal with, everything was done right. If you are coming by car do yourselves a favour and when you get the instructions to get there by Sam, look it all up on goggle maps as the villa is tucked away in a cul de sac, All in all i would recommend staying here.

Wonderful holiday villa

We have just returned from a week at Villa Papoilas. This was or family's first visit to Portgual and we could not have chosen a better location. The six adults in our group had a brilliant time, helped by wall to wall sunshine for the entire week. The villa is stunning. Spacious, immaculately clean and equipped with everything you could possibly need, it is set in large well maintained grounds. It is in a quiet location with a lovely sea view. We walked into town every night to eat at a different restaurant and walked our meal off by dealing with the hill on the way back! We particularly enjoyed our meal at l'Orange which is a short walk away. Carvoeiro itself is very clean with a compact town centre and small town beach which manages to has an unspoilt feel to it. There are loads of restaurants within easy walking distance. Other activities include a road train ride and boat rides from the seafront area. We hired two cars at Faro but in the end only used them to get to and from the airport, and for a short ride to the Splash and Slide waterpark so I think you could easily manage without one. I would thoroughly recommend this area for a family holiday in the sun, and Villa Papoilas in particular. It is a credit to its owners, and to Sam and her team who work hard to present it at its best. We will definitely plan to return in the near future. Thank you.

Excellent holiday property

My family and I have just returned from a week in this villa. It lived up to and beyond our expectations. The villa is in a quiet road which is a five or 10 minute walk (downhill) into the centre of Carvoeiro where there are plenty of restaurants and bars, the sea and the beach. Sam Carr provided very clear instructions as to how to get to the property from the airport and on how to access the house, it was all very straightforward. We were delighted to find the villa very clean, with large comfortable rooms. As we had a baby and a toddler with us Sam had provided a cot and a high chair which made life easier for us. The kitchen had a dishwasher, oven and microwave with plenty of cutlery, plates, cups. glasses and utensils. The washing machine was in a cupboard in a little courtyard next to the kitchen. The swimming pool was large and there were plenty of sunbeds and swim towels were thoughtfully provided. I always try to be objective in my reviews and I can say hand on heart that I cannot find one thing to fault in this villa. I've already started a savings plan so that we can come back again. Thanks to Sam and your team for a wonderful holiday.
