A beautiful villa and immaculate grounds in a stunning location, we had a wonderful week's stay. The house is very well equipped, the pool is fantastic. We were very sorry to leave!James provided lots of information in advance of our stay and gave us a very warm welcome.

The property was exactly as advertised. It was very well stocked and furnished. The hob was a little tricky to learn but we figured it out. The location was easy to access and close enough to the coast to do a drive ourselves (a group of 65 yr old women). We did a boat tour out of Portimao and that was pretty easy to drive. We also did a jeep tour with silvestours.com and Thyl picked us up at the villa - wonderful day! The pool was lovely - Monchique is so quaint. Grocery store was easy to find and we ventured out for a lovely meal at Luardafoia restaurant - the view was amazing and the food even better! We were 9 days here and would absolutely do it again. Thank you James!

I loved the peace and quiet. The house was absolutely beautiful with a really good sized pool. Everything was perfect and well appointed. We loved it. The only negative was the wind. But it did keep us cool when the weather was too hot down in the valley.

Beautiful peaceful villa, with excellent pool and grounds

This is a gorgeous property with ample space for children and families. The pool is excellent, great views and location really peaceful.

Splendid villa in the mountains

Two couples very much enjoyed our stay in this amazing place. The pool was wonderful and the villa very comfortable. We had a few problems with mosquitoes at night when the wind dropped but the owner has indicated he’ll fit nets over the beds in future. We’d certainly be happy to stay here again!!!

Perfect home away from home!

This Villa is the perfect get away. It is quiet, private, and relaxing. The views of the coast are spectacular! The home is very special. The decor is fun! It is very comfortable and spacious. We enjoyed the patio especially in the mornings. James was very helpful and accommodating. We had an excellent stay!

Outstanding hospitality in a beautiful home-from-home

The house is beautiful: light, bright and spacious; spotlessly clean; very comfortable; and with everything you could want for your stay. The garden and the view are stunning, and the heated pool is wonderful. James was a warm, welcoming and communicative host. He really made us feel that nothing was too much trouble. This truly is a highly recommended holiday rental!

A get away from it all rural idyll

Plenty of space in this beautifully designed Portuguese villa - not only to get away from the crowds but also your fellow guests! Very quiet, great views. Restaurants a 5 minute drive, a huge supermarket with plenty of fresh sea food and meat and veg an easy 10 minutes. The wonderful Atlantic coast makes a wonderful day out- Bordeira beach out favourite. Can highly recommend.

The magnificent "Relva de Cima"

Our visit to this extraordinary villa was very memorable! The host, James was extremely kind and very helpful with details and information regarding the villa and local surroundings. The views are outstanding and ground were impeccable! The interior was very impressive but yet comfortable and very clean. Highly recommend this villa to anyone who wants to create memories that will last a lifetime! Thank you James for sharing.

The best place for real relax.

The owner was communicating with us, gave us all needed details. The property is beautiful and clean. With a big pool. There is nothing missing. The view is great, you can see the sea. I can only recommend it.

Immaculate! Spacious & well equipped. The slide by the pool is an inspired feature, even Grandad went down it! We were a family group, Nana, Grandad, Aunt, Neice & great neice and nephew (9 & 12). Nobody wanted to leave! 😎

Incredible Mountain Villa

Absolutely stunning villa high in the mountains just outside Monchique , beautiful views down to the coast with facilities that would satisfy all requirements. The pool is large and lovely and warm and the kids loved the slide. Villa is spacious, three en-suite double bedrooms, master to die for. Outside BBQ, fire and seating are great especially in the evenings and there is a fully equipped kitchen and separate utility room. Met by the owner James - a pleasure to deal with. Can’t recommend this highly enough.

Vacation September 2022

We are three couples who stayed here for an 11-day vacation in September 2022. The roomy villa and its pool and grounds are beautifully maintained with a lovely view. The outdoor seating area off the kitchen has an outdoor fireplace which we used on cooler evenings. You DO require a vehicle as it’s a 10 minute drive into Monchique for groceries and about a 45 minute drive to the south coast. It’s a good location for exploring the southwest Algarve or not going anywhere and just relaxing. James was welcoming and very easy to communicate with. We highly recommend!

Gorgeous villa

We spent a week in this beautiful house that really exceeded our expectations. It was spotless and offered many amenitieis. We also loved the large pool and the slide! Men become little boys again. The garden is large and very well kept, and the view is stunning. Unfortunately, the weather was a bit capricious, so we needed to heat the pool for a couple of days which made it even more wonderful to use. James is a super and helpful host - ready to make everything pleasant for us. We can highly recommend this house which James has built with love and passion. Great job.

Check in was easy due to easy communication with owner. We were even able to order some food items such as cereal and milk etc to tide us over for a day or two till we got our bearings. Grounds are amazing and well kept and the Pool was wonderful, perfect size for the 8 of us(aged 13 a 76yrs) to enjoy and a perfect temperature for day or evening swims and fun, our grandson enjoyed the slide. The villa itself has everything you could wish for although we didn’t spend much time indoors as we spent all our time at either the outdoor dining area, on the sun loungers or the patio area. The kitchen and utility room were great spaces with 2 large fridge freezersLocal restaurants were 10-15 minutes away, however a trip to the beach is approx 45 minute drive. There is a large supermarket and a lovely pastry/coffee shop in Monchique town square with a couple of gift shops hidden in a side street. We particularly enjoyed a few visits to Lagos.

Relva de cima ist ein herausragendes Ferienhaus in phantastischer Lage mit einer sehr umfangreichen Ausstattung. Das Ambiente und die Einrichtung des Hauses sind einzigartig. Die Ausstattung der Küche und auch das sonstige Inventar waren umfangreich und großzügig. Der große beheizbare Pool, das außergewöhnliche Haus und die sehr ruhige Lage machen den Aufenthalt einzigartig.Der Gastgeber James war immer ansprechbar, sehr freundlich, angenehm und hilfsbereit.Wir können diese Unterkunft sehr empfehlen sowohl mit Kindern als auch für nur Erwachsene.Jederzeit würden wir an diesen traumhaften Ort wieder unseren Urlaub verbringen.

James ist ein toller Gastgeber, das Haus ist sehr stimmig eingerichtet. Alles Erforderliche für einen gelungenen Urlaub ist vorhanden. Der Garten ist wunderbar angelegt und gepflegt. Ein toller wunderbar temperierter Pool lädt zum Schwimmen ein. Wir haben uns super wohl gefühlt und die Gegend um Monchique lädt zum Wandern ein.

Eine außergewöhnliche, mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtete Villa in wunderschöner, ruhiger Hanglage. Das Anwesen bietet alle Annehmlichkeiten und ist bestens ausgestattet, insbesondere die Küche hat unsere Erwartungen übertroffen. Durch die Deckenventilatoren und die soliden Hauswände ist es trotz teils sehr hoher Außentemperaturen im Innenbereich stets angenehm temperiert. James ist ein fantastischer Gastgeber, welcher auf das Wohl seiner Gäste viel Wert legt und sich aktiv und unkompliziert darum kümmert. Dabei ist er stets bemüht die Privatsphäre seiner Gäste zu waren und durch proaktive Kommunikation notwendige Pflegearbeiten am Grundstück so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten. Wir waren mit unserem Aufenthalt in der Villa mehr als zufrieden und würden diese sowie ihren Gastgeber James uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen!

Yen to See in Portugal

Sehr schönes Anwesen, sogar schöner und eindrucksvoller als in den Bildern zu erkennen. Allerdings liegt die Relva de Cima auf ca. 600m. Höhe am Berg Foia, d.h. es ist sehr ruhig und abgeschieden sowie nur mit einem Auto zu erreichen. Wir waren diesen August für 2 Wochen mit 6 Personen dort. Jedes Zimmer hat ein eigenes Badezimmer und ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Küche und Wohnzimmer sind sehr großzügig , vermitteln den Eindruck eines Gutshauses. Der große Garten (Park) ist wundervoll angelegt, der Pool lässt keine Wünsche offen. Ich denke so kann man leben und werde wiederkommen. Gruß aus HH

Très très belle villa

Nous avons passé une super semaine de vacances dans cette incroyable maison. La vue est magnifique et la maison vraiment belle et spacieuse. Le jardin est également très beau et bien entretenu. Encore mieux qu'en photo ! La piscine est grande et l'eau est très bonne, nous avons pu bien en profiter et nous avons adoré le toboggan (plus grand qu'il n'en a l'air)😁 James est disponible et très accueillant, avec de petits cadeaux à l'arrivée. En bref, tout le monde a adoré la villa et les extérieurs, quel plaisir d'être au milieu de la nature et au calme ! Nous reviendrons avec plaisir.
