A gulf view from every bedroom. Water stay ho while taking a shower and also had a detachable showerhead. The condo was the nicest that we ever stay in. The sauna was very nice to. Had trouble with the television but was corrected the next day. Would definitely rent again.

Great condo for families

Very clean and well appointed unit. The wrap around balcony is amazing with panoramic views of the beach and pool area. The unit was comfortable and clean and well stocked with everything you need for a great vacation.

This condo is beautifully decorated with breathtaking views of the ocean from every room.

This condo had everything we needed for an amazing vacation. We loved preparing our meals there. The kitchen is so beautiful and very organized and equipped with everything that we needed. We loved the views from the deck. There was nothing we didn’t love about this condo and would love to come back.

Absolutely loved this condo! I would definitely stay here again! Location was great! There was construction going on but everything was still easily accessible. Short walk to the beach! We did have issues with the ice maker leaking water but the management company got it taken care of in a timely manner. Loved it!

Perfect Condo!

Our family LOVED our stay here! We enjoyed the wrap around balcony, and all 3 bedrooms having a view and access to the balcony was a huge bonus! The location was perfect. The beach wasn’t quite as crowded because the condo buildings around it aren’t massive which we love. The indoor pool and large hot tub is nice if you’re a fan. We had a maintenance issue we reported that didn’t affect our stay, but we wanted them to be aware of. Texted the issue on Sunday afternoon and someone was there within the hour to check it out. Highly impressed with the condo and with Alabama Getaways! We will definitely be back!

The opportunity to access the property early was appreciative, but the room had many flaws.

The team granted my request in granting me and my family access to the rental property at 12:30 pm which was very appreciative since my parents are elderly and needed to rest as soon as we arrived. However, there were many unpleasant experiences at the rental property which included: popcorn kernels and sand in one bed, blood stained linen in another bed, one of the wrap around balcony doors would not open and was inaccessible, and the remote control did not work on the television.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us this feedback. We are terribly sorry for the issues you encountered during your stay. We worked closely with you via phone calls and texts leading up to your arrival to get your family in the condo very early on a busy turn around day. We rushed our housekeeping team to get in the condo after 10AM when the previous guest checked out and have it ready for you shortly after noon. While I am happy that we were able to accommodate your very special early check in request...I am very sad that as a result our normal housekeeping and inspection times were reduced which I am sure resulted in your negative feedback. Our housekeepers arrive with clean, fresh, high quality linens for every cleaning. Any permanently stained linen is always discarded and replaced. I do not know how they missed this stain, but I would have been out there in moments at any hour with a new set had I just known there was an issue. All I needed was a phone call or text and the issues would have been resolved. Once again, thank you for the feedback and I have addressed this with my housekeeping team. We will do our VERY best to make certain this does not happen again.

The Worst

Let's begin with the condo itself. Heavily lived in, shower leak, tattered furniture, TV technology from 2005 and weak wifi when either of them worked at all. There is no luggage rack, but the bedding is all white which would leave you to put your suitcases on the floor. The patio is so packed with furniture and pool toys, and the out door furniture is on par with the lazyboyz indoors that even if there weren't a gaggle of unsavories blasting music, you really don't want to sit out there anyway because it's not comfortable. Everything, whether it is or not, feels dirty and over lived in. The white noise in the condo is deafening from the blare of the dehumidifiers, to the random whistling hum of the ice maker. The beds are very uncomfortable, the pillows, aka slabs of thin rubber, are so bad I slept every night without one at all, and the sheets are some kind of poly nylon mix that is unfit for humans. Which brings me to the neighbors who poisoned the relaxing beach air with daily and nightly country and classic rock music that was so loud, I could hear it both through my earbuds (essential if you stay here) and over the TV which I turned up to 60. Had the coffee pot, at the very least, been newer than sometime in the 90's I might have been able to muddle through the worst vacation since my 20's when I had no money and had to stay in a nightmare place like as bad as this but much cheaper. Summer House is your own private rodeo.

This review is absolutely one of the most heartbreaking that we have ever received in the 11 years we have managed properties in the area. We are so sorry that you had such a bad experience – I cannot tell you how sorry we are. We work incredibly hard to prevent any bad experiences and if you review the reviews for this property and the 120 others we manage you will see mounds of evidence of that. I do not want to discount your concerns and issues whatsoever because we respect all of our guest’s opinion and feedback. We will do everything in our power to prevent a review like this in the future. I do want to mention that we specifically state in writing multiple times to our guests that we are here! Here for absolutely anything! We are experienced locals and have endless resources and contacts. You would be shocked at what we can do in a few hours...if we just know there is an issue. We are available via email, phone and text 24/7. We and our staff are endlessly accessible. The issues you found in the condo have been reviewed and addressed. All new TV’s have been installed as of this week; the building is in the process of being completely re-wired with a designated fiber line – this condo was re-wired the week after your stay. Summer House now has one of the best internet connections of any condo in Orange Beach. The same type wiring and connections you find in brand new buildings. This can be verified with Secure Vision who is handling the building wide upgrade. The owner swapped out two living room chairs this week so new furniture additions have been made. The mattresses are only 2 years old but we are investigating to see if some issue. The minor shower leak has been fixed. The deck furniture seems to be fine, but we will monitor. We own the cleaning company and have the highest standards of cleaning in the area. The highest! We have addressed your concerns with our cleaning staff. We are replacing the coffee maker. Had we know there was an issue with noise from neighbors we could have worked with onsite security to help. Once again, I am so very sorry and we would have loved to have worked with you on any one of these issues had we just known there was a problem. I do hope future guests will read and consider the very recent favorable reviews for this property. Also, future guests please know that we care and we are here…just simply reach out to use via text, phone or email and we will immediately work to correct any issues!

Surprise House on beach

We were supposed to be staying in a condo in Orange Beach but when it had a plumbing problem we were offered this beach home. 6 bedrooms was far more then our group of 6 needed but it was very nice. The home is nicely decorated and the location and outdoor porches were awesome.

Great beach condo.

This was a great beach condo….nice pool, close to the beach, great wrap around balcony, and easy stair access on the 3rd floor. Only complaint was a lack of some stables that I’ve come to expect…like salt & pepper, coffee or at least filters, and kinda stingy on the dishwasher detergent (only providing enough for 2 loads, during a 3 night stay).

Girls relaxing weekend

We planned this as a surprise trip for a girlfriend who is our resident trip planner. We started trying to fill up the days as she would. But when we got there she said let’s do a few things then just sit by the pool and do beach walks! We so enjoyed sitting on the balcony listening to the waves and drinking wine. The condo is beautifully beautifully decorated and perfectly appointed. The beds were so comfortable! What a great relaxing weekend from the hustle and bustle of daily life back home. We enjoyed our first trip to orange beach and will definitely be coming back!

The property managers were amazing. This one had a leak and they found another one right away for us at bluewater. We didn’t have to cancel the trip and our family had a amazing time. We can’t wait to go back sometime.

Condo not compatible

We were relocated to west side cottages. All the stairs were not suitable for my elderly mom. Wife with bad back. That’s why we booked Summerhouse more suitable. And wasn’t on beach as we have been our last 30 years going
