This was a perfect location! A couple blocks away from both the Vatican and Castel Sant’Angelo and reasonable walking distance from all kinds of restaurants, mini-markets/grocery stores and shops. The apartment was perfect for a couple or small family (my young adult son stayed on the couch while I had the bedroom) and the views from the rooftop were AMAZING!!
Overall amazing stay!!! The only reason for not 5 Stars was the inaccuracy of the listing. My husband and I are traveling through the UK & EU for several months, moving a lot, so we have packed lightly & booked VRBO’s specifically for having a washer. The Views & Location were the reason for the 4 stars! Would definitely stay again, but would come more prepared!
This place is one of a kind - it's even better than the pictures. Old properties in Italy all have their quirks, but nothing prohibitive here. It's a delightful place and very close to St. Peter's.
This was a great place to stay for our young family of 4. The pictures do not do it justice - particularly on the roof deck. Everything was fabulous and as promised. Though snug, the apartment more than met our needs. Great neighborhood. Quiet at night. We hope we are lucky enough to return!!
The location was great. Near the Vatican and very nice. The terrace was also lovely with great views of St Peters and surrounding area. Unfortunately the apartment itself was not great. Small and a bit grubby. Needs painted. Sofa had stain marks and apartment smelt of cat urine.
This apartment had everything we needed for 2 of us. Numerous restaurants and gelato shops were just outside the door of the building. The best feature was the roof terrace, however. It was delightful to enjoy coffee or a glass of wine outside overlooking St. Peter’s Cathedral. Having a secluded place to relax in Rome made this a great choice. I contend that the apartment would benefit from some updating, a deep clean and better linens but overall, we enjoyed our stay here.
Great location; very nice space; had problems with the door and the persons who stated would be available if we had any questions were not responsive and did not call us with simple instructions to open the door (we waited over 90 minutes in the morning). We finally got assistance from Vrbo (very helpful), but it was a rough start to our vacation. Minus those 90 minutes, it was a great 5 day stay.

Great location but let down by tired rooftop area and poor communications
The apartment was in a great location and was generally very tidy but kitchen utensils and kettle where all very basic and old. For example you couldn't even open the kettle lid as it was old and broken. Wardrobes were also in poor condition. Rooftop area was also very old and untidy with pots of paint and ladders left lying around. These items may sound picky in a review but when you're spending more than 300 per night you expect quite a lot more than we found. It could be great with a lot more TLC.

romantic apartment
The location of this place is amazing , you can walk and see all the sights , i would not recommend this place for more then two ppl (unless your really comfortable with each other ) the roof top terrance will be the highlight , its peaceful and romantic ..... the only problem we had was with our shuttle back to the airport , he never showed up for the booking we already prepaid for , so we had to fine a taxi a couple blocks away .. but all in all we would recommend this apartment to anyone wanting to explore rome by foot or just want to have the feeling of living in rome ..... the owners were very helpful and have lots of information once you check in .

Thanks for your nice review and you've been good in the apartment.
The terrace is unique and I agree that it is the most exciting thing of the apartment.
I am very sorry for the delay of the driver and you have preferred to take a taxi.
Anyway I really hope to have you again as a guest.
For nearby coffee, pasta, gelato, and sightseeing, you can't beat this location. It's steps away from everything. The apartment itself, however, is quite dated and a bit worn down (mold in the shower, leaky kitchen ceiling and living room puddles during a big rain, washer doesn't drain well) in addition to some oversights like too few towels in the apt (not even 1 per person), no working remotes, dishwasher full of dirty dishes when we arrived, no toilet paper, and a disgusting water kettle -- i think someone had boiled milk in it and it just hadn't been cleaned properly.
There was nothing that was a complete deal breaker, but add it all up and it was an inconvenient stay, to say the least. That said, the host himself was WONDERFUL to work with and a complete gentleman.
First off, I’d like to say thank you so so much. This stay was crucial in how we spent our time while we weren’t sightseeing.
The place itself is located in Prati, a very cute neighborhood by Vatican City. This stay looks exactly as pictured. It’s in an old building, so it’ll come with old building quirks, but nothing so inconvenient that it’ll ruin your time!! Plus, there’s an elevator, so we didn’t have to go up the stairs too many times.
I loved the terrace and spent so much time up there just soaking in the view of St. Peter’s Basilica and Castel Sant’Angelo. You can hear the bustle of the city below you as you enjoy a little light reading, a morning cappuccino, and a smoke. Plus, they provide almost everything you need there: dishes, cooking supplies, sponges, detergent for the washer, a drying rack, a blow dryer, an iron and board, a yoga mat, some books, soap, plenty of towels, extra sheets, and WiFi!!
Communication with our host was great. We didn’t have any emergencies, but when we did need something, our host was able to get it done in a timely manner. Everyone I interacted with from this stay was professional and friendly.
If you’re looking for a great place with a beautiful view, look no further. I’d come back here again!!

Overlooking Basilica San Pietro
This was the fifteenth time that we rented an apartment in Rome and it was really a new experience.
The view from the terrace at the roof was magnificent, but the place in itself was not taken care of. It was dirty and untidy. The apartment was nice, especially the quiet bedrom. The kitchen was small and unpractical if you, as we usually do, want to cook at home. When we arrived, the cutlery, the porcelain and the pots were badly washed.
After our first five days we begun to have problems with the electricity. As soon as we started the dishwasher, the oven or the microwave oven the power went. We sent a message to the host at once. The day after we were told where to look after the fuse box, at the ground floor. Several power failures forced us for the rest of the time, another five days, to go down the stairs from the fourth floor to restart the voltage protection. We did not use the elevator, since we got stuck in it the first day. Moreover, the last days even the water heater gave up.
After ten wonderful days in Rome we left a letter in the apartment with all this information. We also e-mailed and texted it to the host, but have not yet got any response. Since the price for this apartment is quite high we - on the basis of our experiences - hesitate to recommend it.
Kind regards

Hi,
Thank you for your stay in this apartment and I'm so glad also that you have appreciated the view from the terrace and your stay inside the quiet bedroom of the apartment.
Regarding the terrace that you said was not taken care of, we are just waiting for the clear weather or the start of the season where there is no rain so we can start with our work in the terrace as we usually do every year.
For the kitchen which is full of utensils and all of its accessories sorry but you are the only client that commented on this that it is small, perhaps, you are always using a big kitchen and this is new for you. The water also here in Rome is rich in limestone and when you wash the dishes and you don't dry it very well you can see the stains on it in the surface and maybe this is the reason why you see the the pots are not well cleaned.
Finally for the elevator and electricity these are not our problems as these are the building problems. The electricity lowered down and you have told us and we came to the apartment immediately after you told us about this and we explained to you how to turn on the main switch downstairs and for the water heater you just reported it when you're about to leave and we controlled it also and it works perfectly. The email and messages that you have sent to us has been sent when you're about also to check-out so we don't respond to it but to control the apartment on the same day.
Thank you very much for your stay and I wish to have you as guest the next time you visit Rome.

Gute Nerven

Unpleasant experience
The property was not as nice as it looked in pictures online. There was no television, no hot water and some sheets did not look cleaned. The hallway smelled and the property manager went silent on me when we checked out and asked for at least a days refund. We moved to a hotel down the street because we needed showers.
A great locating and well suited for a holiday for those who can live with somewhat dated amenities like kitchen and bathroom. A delightful roof garden offers views of St Peter's cathetral and the rest of the neighbourhood.
Location is perfect only 2 minutes from the Vatican with great views from the large roof terrace of the basilica. The apartment was perfect for the 2 of us for our 3 day visit with the right amount of space in all rooms. Our only slight problem was no hot water on the first morning but this was sorted out quickly with a few messages to the very helpful Olivia, but it did mean no shower that morning. All correspondence was carried out very quickly including the booking of a taxi to and from the airport. The area around the apartment is very nice and quiet with a good selection of restaurants and bars at reasonable prices. Would definitely stay again
Our unforgettable vacation started at the airport with the car service. Brought us right to the cozy neighborhood. Christoph met us at the front door, helped us with our bags and showed us the apt and our private roof top patio. The restaurants in the neighborhood where great, we liked the one right downstairs best. We set up guided tours to Street Food, Vatican, Colosseum, Pantheon through trip adviser and where not disappointed. We walked everywhere. People are just so nice. My Italian is weak. But not a problem everyone speaks English. We cant wait to go back. We used the washer, cloth line on the roof. Car service picked us up and we where sad to go. Caio, See you next year
The host was extremely friendly and helpful. They even ordered the airport shuttles for us, and advised us on the cost. The location is close to the Vatican and many shops and restaurants. From the balcony you can see the Vatican. We loved it there, and the accommodations were just as advertised. Very quiet and clean.
We were running late, and the host was very patient with us. The location was amazing, the rooftop terrace was perfect to enjoy a drink and overlook the city. The area was close to everything, but also very quiet.
We really enjoyed the apartment, especially the wonderful terrace. Check in was easy and the property manager was easy to get a hold of (we wanted to extend our stay, he was very responsive). We would stay here again.
Overall, the apartment is really great! Great location, and the roof deck is awesome.
Unfortunately the internet did not work at all through our stay. And it took some time to get addressed and still did not work.
Also, there are 2 AC units in the apartment which were an absolute necessity for the summer months. Unfortunately one was barely working and the other one was making loud noises. It would have been super helpful to have some working fans in the property. But I spent every evening sweating on the living room floor just to try to stay cool.
Unfortunate, but this place would be perfect for the cooler months.
