Absolutely Wonderful Stay

Just back from an amazing 7 nights at Villa fantasia. Everything about this property and complex is first rate, 5 minute walk to the beach with it's beautiful sands and bars and a 10 minute walk into the village centre which was wonderful in the evening with so many fantastic restaurants to choose from. Villa was spotless upon arrival and we were met by the lovely Chrissy who was on hand all week if we had any issues which i'm glad to say we did,'t. Lovely pool area and 4 magnificent bedrooms. Kitchen well stocked with cutlery etc should you require these things. Already looking at flights for next September so we can get the Villa booked again.

Villa Fantasia was wonderful! Everything we requested was dealt with immediately by Stella, such as suggested taxi transfers from the airport and restaurant recommendations. We were met by Mr Sifis who gave us complimentary wine and olives, along with the shopping we had ordered and was so kindly organised and delivered. The villa was pristine, air con in every room, comfy beds (including pool beds), a fabulous pool with just the right temperature. We met Nikos who regularly came by to make sure the pool was clean. It was a 5-minute walk to the nearest restaurant, Arkadi, which was absolutely fabulous and in the best location right on the beach! The village of Georgioupolis was a slightly longer walk but well worth the effort as it has so many restaurants, bars, shops and a wonderful Greek Orthadox church that is stunning. I would happily book Villa Fantasia again!

Great villa in a perfect location

This villa surpassed our expectations, it was clean, modern with a fantastic pool with a covered outdoor eating/relaxing area when you need a break from the sun. We are a family of 7 , 4 adults and 3 teenage girls, and all enjoyed the table football and darts! The villas location couldn’t be better and the nearby village has a lot more than you expect from the description, a lovely beach with lots of good bars and restaurants around. We would recommend Mythos Restaurant for traditional Greek food and GB roof top bar and restaurant for good food and fabulous views. Konstantina the rep was really good and responded to all questions really quickly and a bonus was throwing in the airport transfers as you really don’t need a car. The buses to Chania and Rethymno are cheap, regular and quick also. Only recommendation we would make to the owners would be to upgrade the sun loungers around the pool as they are quite uncomfortable! Fabulous stay and we would be booking again for next year if it wasn’t for the fact we have done Crete for the last 4 years and fancy a change, but we will be back!

Fantastic stay for six people

We stayed in mid-September and the place was brilliant. Communication with Konstantina from Creta Nova was very easy and they even arranged our transfers from the airport which was very kind. The house itself was just as it appears in the photos, clean and spacious with a pool that is larger than the photos would have you think. Having your own pool is a massive bonus and it was great to relax on the sun loungers or have a swim. The kitchen had everything you could need to cook your own meals and the dishwasher was very helpful. The location is great, five minutes walk from the local town (which is fairly small but has lots of restaurant options) and five minutes from the nearest beach. Highly recommend the villa for anyone looking to come to Crete.

Amazing Villa!

We had an incredible time in this villa! The furniture is very modern and everything was very clean! The pool area is bigger than in the pictures and was cleaned every day. The representative Chrissy was very welcoming and answered all of our questions. The little town with restaurants and shops is only 5 minutes walking distance away and you can reach the beach in 10 minutes which is great since we had no car. This holiday and villa exceeded our expectations

Georgioupolis is located at the apex of Almyros bay on the Sea of Crete, with Cape Drapano and its rocky coast to the north and Rethymno to the East, just 25km away. Three small rivers meet the sea at the village. The larger one, named Almyros, creates a small harbor for fishing and tourist boats.

Georgioupolis with its long sandy beach gives you the opportunity to choose among a variety of water sports while enjoying the Greek sun.

The entrance to the village, through the old road, is a long avenue with Eucalyptus trees. Georgioupolis is the perfect place for relaxing vacations, either for families or for couples, seeking a romantic getaway. Formerly a small fishing village, Georgioupolis is now a tourist town, with cafes, tavernas, small bars, apartment blocks and small hotels. The village square is surrounded by outdoor cafes, where you can enjoy drinks and sweets while your children playing safely in the square by the two big and colored water fountains. Also, you will be able to do your shopping, organize excursions, taste traditional and European cuisine and enjoy the night life. The “blue flag” beach of Georgioupolis is the main attraction of the area, ideal for children.
