Wonderful family apartment in Wengen.
This apartment is beautiful, so clean it seemed like it was brand new. Not even a single cob web in the window frames! Beautiful wood work throughout. Smell is fresh and wonderful. We are a family of four with a 6 and 8 year old, and it worked very well for a week-long home base in Wengen. One of the kugelbahn ball tracks was right outside, so our kids loved going by themselves to play, while we could see them from the balcony. I wondered if the Mannlichen cable car station would be noisy since it is right outside the balcony, but the cars themselves are very quiet and smooth. So clean! Nice to have a washing machine. Took a bit to figure out how to use it, and smaller loads that what we're used to in the U.S., but a fantastic amenity.
Perhaps leaving the manual for the washing machine/dryer? For folks who are looking for absolute silence, know that when the windows/doors are open, you can hear happy tourists and families gathering outside the cable car station or playing kugelbahn. We kind of enjoyed that, and it was very quiet when doors/windows were closed. Just FYI. Also, you are looking directly at Mannlichen, so it is not a view of the Eiger/Monch/Jungfrau mountains, if that matters to you. Still a beautiful view of Mannlichen mountains and the village!
