Penthouse-lejlighed med udsigt over Funchals bedste strand - Formosa-stranden

Stor privat balkon og tagterrasse med udsigt over Atlanterhavet. Lejlighedsbygningen ligger lige ved stranden uden støjende veje mellem dig og den spektakulære udsigt. Den eneste lyd om aftenen er bølgerne, der bryder ud på brostensbelagte otte etager under.

Der er tre soveværelser med dobbeltsenge. Det store soveværelse åbner lige ud på balkonen
og har også et stort ensuite med 'dobbelt' bad. Der er også et familiebadeværelse med bruser.

Dette er en stor lejlighed (130m2) og meget godt bygget. Par, der deler, har masser af plads - selvom der kan være argumenter om, hvem der får soveværelset!

Lejligheden har været en privatejet familieferielejlighed i de sidste 25 år og er meget godt udstyret.

Køkkenet har alle de apparater, du ville finde derhjemme, selvom der er masser af dejlige caféer og restauranter i nærheden, hvis madlavning ikke er på din agenda!

Hvis du vælger noget hjemmelavet, vil vi anbefale de smukke friske fisk og grøntsager til salg på øen. Vi elsker at lave mad, når vi bliver dernede. Aftener på terrassen er meget afslappende, serverer og ser på solnedgangen.

Lejligheden blev renoveret i 2017 og enkelt indrettet, men har stadig en dejlig behagelig fornemmelse af den. Det er vores hjem hjemmefra!

Det ligger i et lejligheds-kompleks med swimmingpool, spillelokale, bar og direkte adgang til stranden. Receptionen er åben 24 timer i døgnet.

De store solrige vinduer vender mod syd-vest, og de atlantiske solnedgange er spektakulære fra ottende sal balkon. Solen går ned over havet på linje med de højeste klipper i Europa.

Atlantic Gardens - Madeira

This 3 bed apartment is furnished to a high standard. Everything is at hand you would have at your own home. Nyara is an excellent hoist, and nothing was too much trouble for her. She was always on hand offering advice and support when required (our arrival flight was delayed by a day due to high winds at Funchal airport). The apartment block (exterior) is showing some signs of age (built 1995). The location is ideal as it is quiet and on the beach, with very frequent public transport to Funchal (Funchal is busy, suffers air pollution, and can become stifling), sunny without being too hot, plenty of fresh air with the coastal breezes. It is an easy hassle free holiday, which is why we have been twice in 4 years.

Wonderful Madeira experience

Very clean and bright apartment on Formosa beach. Porch and rooftop lounging space provide expansive view of the beach with amazing sunsets! Location is walking distance to a few local restaurants but you will need a car or taxi to explore the plethora of other culinary delights in the vicintity. Although their are 3 bedrooms in the apt (1 master and 2 much smaller ones) , the bathroom arrangement is not really suitable for 3 sets of adults as there is only one suitable shower for all in the shared bathroom. We were 2 couples and worked out the shower situation without any problems. Still, the location, views and modern appointments in the apt made our visit to Madeira a memorable experience.

Breathtaking Oceanfront on a Volcanic Beach

This three-bedroom oceanfront apartment is absolutely breathtaking, with a huge deck overlooking a black beach. Nyara and Miguel take care of everything for your visit to make it the best!

Immaculate - Modern - Excellent sea front apartment

This wonderful spacious apartment is excellent, a short 10 minute drive will have you in Funchal. The sea views and sunsets are a big feature of this property. Both living room and master bedroom open onto the deep private balcony, with views to the sea cliffs at Cabo Girao. The living room is comfortable and finished to a very high standard, The tv & satellite package are also extensive suiting all tastes, if you enjoy a movie while on holiday. A very well equipped kitchen, two good bathrooms, one with large shower, and the en suite from the master has an enormous 2 person bath if you like company and someone to hold the soap. .... The roof terrace is well equipped with sunbeds & cushions, there is also an excellent laundry room, should you need it with iron & board, clothes horse ,Washer & drier. The booking was dealt with by property manager - Niara. A real wealth of local information & help making sure we got the most from our visit. She was prompt to respond to my early booking emails, and then the day before we travelled, Niara text me with contact details and arrangements for meeting us. The bottle of wine & cake on arrival was a lovely gift. If I owned this property, I would like to know that it was being prepared for guests properly, and managed well. The apartment was superbly presented, and Niara could not of been more helpful with us. - Excellent service - Thank you Niara.! I would not hesitate in the slightest recommending this lovely apartment to other holidaymakers. Ivan & Helen A

What can I say, words are not enough! This apartment was superb in every possible way. It was spacious, beautifully clean and modern. We walked in and thought, "Wow!!" The apartment was huge and we felt like we had walked into a luxury penthouse. Nyara was the perfect host and so incredibly helpful and kind. We could always rely on her for tips or advice. Our favourite day was the jeep tour with her amazing and knowledgeable husband Miguel - he took us up into the hills to breathtaking scenery - his love of his island, knowledge and his charming personality had us enraptured. Next time, we will book more tours with Miguel as there was so much we missed seeing. We chose to spend every evening eating dinner on the magnificent balcony watching the Atlantic Ocean, boats and sunsets. Perfection! So peaceful and tranquil. We will be back.

Outstanding apartment! In an excellent location.

Beautiful penthouse apartment overlooking Praia Formosa beach. The apartment is very well equipped with everything you could possibly need for your stay, at luxury standard. The apartment itself has an easy three minute access to the beach along with access to the pool. Its own private balcony and roof terrace gives you absolute privacy with the added benefit of outstanding views. The apartment is so perfect we have returned for a second time. We have also enjoyed fabulous jeep tours with Miguel Laginha, helpfully organised by Nyara - the wonderful apartment manager. The restaurants nearby have also been excellent. A wonderful holiday!

Perfect apartment in an excellent location.

Without a doubt the best apartment we have booked on the island so far. Excellently equipped kitchen, luxurious lounge/dining area and 3 good sized bedrooms. The en-suite bath in the main bedroom is huge. We were a bit apprehensive about booking an apartment in a beach front resort, normally going for less "touristy" areas, but there were absolutely no disturbances from the surrounding apartments and the only sound to be heard at night was the relaxing rhythm of waves rolling in. The balcony area was perfect, sitting here having breakfast or dinner with a view to the cliffs at Cabo Girao was sublime. Our only minor complaint would be the sun terrace. The area is looking a little "tired", the parasol didn't work properly and there was no working lighting for us to sit up there after dark, being a deciding factor on us booking the apartment this was a little disappointing, however, this wouldn't put us off booking this apartment in future as the rest of the apartment is perfect. Nyara was an absolute gem. She was there to meet us when we arrived, welcoming, cheery and very pleasant, we couldn't have asked for more from a host. Booking a jeep tour with Miguel Laginha is a must. A very friendly and knowledgeable guide who will take you to places you will never see with any other tour. Full day or half day tours, either are excellent, we have done several of them on our visits to the island. On Miguel's recommendation we booked a boat trip to Faja dos Padres with a company called Gaviao Madeira. Another excellent day out with a 3-4 hour stay at Faja dos Padres to dine at the surprisingly amazing restaurant and a very pleasant walk through the gardens. Dining at Espettus on Estrada Monumental is a must, although the climb up the stairs to the main road is not for the weary. The Beer Garden is also well worth a visit. Taking a walk along the beach to Camara de Lobos (around 30-40 minutes) is a worthy excursion with several very good quality restaurants to grab a lunch at. On the whole, a perfect 2 weeks, at a perfect apartment managed by a perfect host. We will definitely be back.

Great family holiday in Madeira!

Apartment was perfect for grown up family break with 3 good sized bedrooms. Lovely sun terrace with all day sun and wonderful views. Nyara was perfect host with lots of good recommendations and very prompt response to any questions. The jeep safari with Miguel is an absolute must with a traditional poncha cocktail in the hills. The immediate vicinity of the apartment looks a bit run down and it is a steep walk up to the Main Street. But then easy to get to brilliant restaurants and good shops. The bus service to Funchal was cheap and easy to use. So long as you are ok with walking up steep steps or have a rental car it is a perfect big apartment.

We spent a very nice week in Formosa Madeira The appartement is perfect, very spacy and fully equiped with a fantastic terrace and sea view. The situation is good as a starting point for visiting the island. We recommend the Jeep tour with Miguel, idealy in the begining of the stay in order to get a picture of the island and its numerous opportunities. The tour was a very nice time, discovering places where you would never go on your own, in a very friendship atmosphere shared with Miguel. Thank you Niara for your warm welcome and clear explanations, as well as your avaibility

Comfortable accommodation

We stayed in this 8th floor apartment for 12 nights. It is a penthouse apartment but it is not new. Described as “luxury” it now needs upgrading and essential maintenance in order to retain its “luxury” status. The seals on the patio doors are going and water came in to the sitting room. The drain in the shower tray maybe blocked as the water takes ages to drain away. The shower seal also leeks. The curtain tracks are old and do not close easily. The carpets and in particular the carpet edges need a good clean. On the plus side the apartment has an extremely well equipped kitchen and good quality furnishings and comfortable beds. The manager of the apartment Nyara was charming and very helpful. This location is not for the faint hearted. Although there is a small and very handy cheap little restaurant at the gate to the apartment block you really need to take a taxi to other restaurants unless you are a keen walker. The taxis are excellent and not too expensive. The reception desk in the foyer are happy to make Taxi bookings. The weather during our stay was poor (in common with much of Europe at this time) and we experienced high winds and saw very little sunshine. Visits made included the Madeira Cable Car, Tropical Gardens and a visit to Camara de Lobos.

Absolut empfehlenswert, tolle Entdeckung!

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit in dieser wunderschönen Wohnung. Nyara hat uns freundlich begrüßt und viele hilfreiche Tipps gegeben, beispielsweise zu den guten Fischresraurants, die alle fußläufig zu erreichen sind. Die Wohnung ist absolut empfehlenswert, tolle Aussicht, Balkon und Dachterasse, gute Ausstattung einschließlich guter Küchenausstattung. Auch die Lage am Rande des Hotelviertels auf halbem Weg nach Camara de Lobos hat uns sehr gefallen. Da wir mit Baby unterwegs waren konnten wir bequem mit dem Buggy ca eine halbe Stunde in jede Richtung spazieren gehen. Guter Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen (Anfahrt mit dem Auto). Insgesamt also eine wunderbare Wahl, kommen gerne nochmal wieder.

Nyara hat uns einen netten Empfang bereitet und uns viele nützliche Informationen gegeben. Nyara steht immer zur Verfügung, um gute Tips abzugeben. An der grosszügigen Wohnung ist wirklich gar nichts auszusetzen. Beste Lage mit toller Aussicht. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgerüstet. Auch wenn das Wetter mal nicht gut ist, kann man sich mit der wirklich tollen Wohnung trösten.

Fabulous apartment! Beautifully furnished and well equipped. Loved having breakfast on the roof terrace with the stunning views all around, and enjoyed relaxing on the balcony at the end of the day to watch the sun go down. Great location with plenty of choice for restaurants close by and an easy 10 minute bus ride into Funchal. Nyara was extremely friendly and helpful with recommendations and organising taxis. We had a brilliant jeep tour with Nyara’s husband Miguel, who showed us the stunning scenery and provided so much depth of knowledge on the island! Would highly recommend the apartment and and the island!

Fabulous setting

Spotless, comfortable, well equipped apartment with fabulous views straight onto the Atlantic. It was too hot for us to use the roof terrace, but the sun loungers on the balcony were perfect. The kids loved running off to the pool, which is very nicely designed. Drinks are available on site but no hot food, however there were more than enough restaurants and cafés nearby. This location makes a great base for exploring the island and is wonderful to come back to at the end of a busy day exploring.

Beautiful apartment with stunning views

Quality furnishings and so well equipped. Sunsets from the balcony, morning sun on the roof terrace, felt like a home, not a holiday home. and location good for getting around. Only 5km into the centre of Funchal- walk along the promenade or catch the local bus. Found good restaurants nearby most specialising in local fish and seafood. Walk westwards to the next village,and not far to the nearby levada where we walked west one day and east into Funchal another day. Two jeep trips with Miguel to see stunning scenery were unforgettable days. And Niara kept in touch with us all week with suggestions and recommendations.

A good place to stay in Funchal...

A very spacious and modern equipped and quiet apartment located directly at the beach Praia Formosa. The pictures show exactly how it looks. A highlight is the large balcony offering a perfect view on the sea. Very relaxing in the evening.

This is by far the best apartment we have ever stayed in with everything to hand. Niara was there to meet us and advised on best restaurants and places to visit. She organised taxis to and from the airport and was very helpful. We would definitely recommend this apartment. Balcony and roof terrace were amazing. The pictures were a true likeness. Our first time in Madeira and hopefully we will be back next year. Thank you Niara for all your assistance we had a lovely week. Sandra & Doug.

Fabulous penthouse!

Just returned from a week stay at this gorgeous penthouse apartment and what a fabulous stay it was! The apartment manager Nyara was very helpful all through the booking process and also sorted out our airport transfers for us. On arrival there was a lovely welcome surprise of Madeira wine and cake! The apartment was very modern and had everything you could need for a relaxed stay. The views from the balcony were amazing! The apartment is very near to several bars and restaurants. The pool area is very well kept. We will certainly return to this lovely apartment. I would also recommend booking an island jeep tour with Nyaras husband Miguel, The best island trip you can do! Thank you for a lovely stay!

We visited Madeira for the first time in 2016, renting a different apartment from Nyara. We fell in love with this unique location and soon after bought this fabulous apartment as our family get-away. We hope you enjoy your stay there as much as we do.

It is an amazing apartment in an unique location by the sea.
If total relaxation is your aim, then this is the perfect location.

The apartment building is right on the beach, with no noisy roadway between you and the spectacular views. The only sound in the evenings, is the waves breaking onto the cobble beach eight floors below.

Recently refurnished this apartment has everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay taking profit of the mild climate of the island and its amazing view.

We find the balcony plenty big enough for the family to eat every evening, and the rooftop (which gets the morning sun) is a great space for our teenage kids to have their ‘own space’

Very spacious apartment (170 m2!) with a private balcony and a private rooftop terrace over the sea (it is really neaby the sea!). A very comfortable and modern apartment in a quiet and unique location! If total relaxation is your aim, then this is the perfect location.

However, there is plenty to do in Madeira. It has everything from seafront promenade walks, starting right outside the apartment to incredible levada walks. Our son particularly enjoys the mountain biking, and our daughter loves the whale & dolphin watching.

Nyara’s husband Miguel organises vintage jeep tours, which come highly recommended by everyone who has experienced them. The island has some fantastic destinations to explore, and a jeep trip early in your holiday, provides a great feel for this beautiful Island. We would advise booking the tour before you travel to the island, as Miguel’s tours do get booked in advance.
