Our favorite feature of this property was the terrace which had both sunrise and sunset views during the week we were there in September. That, along with the skyline beauty of the old city of Capodimonte, made the end of every day special. The house consists of 3 apartments. As we ended up only a group of four, 2 couples, we primarily used the top apartment. We did try to cook some evening meals and the kitchen was adequate. Overall the property was comfortable, though rather worn. Several small things could use repairs and we made the owner aware. Parking can be an issue as there is no dedicated parking and the street parking is tricky. The locals helped us find spots. The town of Capodimonte is quiet and several restaurants were not open during our stay. But the town of Bolsena across the lake offered several other options on the lake which were wonderful. Location is very good as Lake Bolsena is so clean and beautiful and many other interesting sites are just s short drive. The town of Marta, a 3 minute drive, has a shop that rents e-bikes which we did to do some touring of the area.

Perfect family and friends getaway

A lovely, spacious villa in centre of cute Capodimonte. Host was really friendly and helpful. The view from the two balconies was capitvating.

Property was more beautiful than the photos let on. Space was amazing. Barbara was responsive and helpful. We didn't want to leave Capodimonte!

Wonderful stay over Christmas

We really enjoyed our stay in Capodimente. Communication with the host was excellent from start to finish. The house is as pretty as the photos and the views from the upper floor are breathtaking. We really appreciated the time spent with family in this lovely part of Italy and would love to return at some point. Thanks for everything!

Schön hier.

Eine hübsche Gegend mit vielen Ausflugsmöglichkeiten in allen Richtungen. Das Haus entspricht der Beschreibung, hat also genug Platz und eine Menge Ausstattung zu bieten. Der See liegt gleich um die Ecke.

Erholsamer Urlaub, authentisch und bequem

Das Haus, mitten in der Ruhe eines italienischen Städtchens, ist geräumig, nett und bequem eingerichtet und hat alles zu bieten, was eine größere Gruppe ( gut bis 12 Personen) für einen relaxten Tag benötigt. Am Morgen den Capuccio und ein Cornetto con crema im "Il Re del Gelato" oder in der Bar "Avalon", schräg gegenüber, und der Tag kann beginnen. Der Stadtstrand ist angenehm (wir waren von Ferragosto bis Anfang September: in der 2. Woche war der Strand fast leer.) und Richtung Marta, Montefiascone und Richtung Gradoli hat es eine Menge idyllischer Plätzchen am See. Das Schönste aber ist der Blick von der Dachterrasse auf Rocco, den Hafen und das verschlafene Städtchen. Ebenso die Abendessen auf der Terrasse über den Dächern. Unsere Familie, Eltern und 2 Kinder (5 und 8 Jahre alt), Onkel und Großeltern, war total begeistert und kommt sicher gerne wieder.

What a place!

We were a mixed party of parents and young adults and so we hired the entire villa. As we walked around the corner and saw the villa we were blown away. We had plenty of individual and shared space, using the top apartment as our shared space. The balcony and sun deck is beautiful for breakfast, early evening drinks and dinner, and the garden is just right for lunch. Capodimonte is a super little authentic Italian town, the lake and shore is ideal for either a lazy day or a day on the water should you want to hire a boat. There are some delightful restaurants and places for an early evening aperitif, the locals are friendly and speak a little English. Barbara is an excellent host via What's App. Although she is not based locally she is very attentive and obliging. I would highly recommend this property and we can't wait to return next year.
