La casa Refúgio do Lourinho se encuentra en un pueblo tranquilo y pacífico. Este lugar es ideal para relajarse y aprovechar al máximo sus vacaciones. Los rayos del sol iluminan este lugar desde la mañana hasta el atardecer y estoy seguro de que no querrá perderse este espectáculo de la naturaleza. La casa está bien ubicada tanto para los amantes del mar como para los amantes de la naturaleza. Excellent Stay!

This is a lovely property. It is very quiet, away from the bustle of Funchal. If you want to party, this is not the property for you! The house was very clean. Everything was provided including a Kettle, toaster and washing machine. The property has its own private parking space. Be aware that this property is at the top of a very steep hill and a small dirt track section beyond that but when you get there, the views are amazing from the outdoor seating area. Paulo, the owner, is very friendly. Communication with him was very quick and easy. He made us feel very welcome. All in, we had a very good stay here and would definitely recommend.

Beautiful, but very steep approach

Paulo and his wife were very friendly and helpful with questions. However, you have to know that it is the last house high up on the mountain. The journey there is therefore quite long. You have to plan your purchases well in advance. It is also important to know that fog can quickly creep up through the clouds on the mountain slopes of Madeira. Dreaming of sunshine is then in vain. Otherwise, the stay is recommended for people who simply prefer peace and quiet.

Schönes Haus mit sehr guter Ausstattung

Das Haus lässt von der Ausstattung keine Wünsche offen. Alles ist absolut sauber und sehr gepflegt. Die Anfahrt zum Haus, das letzte am sehr steilen Berg, ist etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig. Man sollte beachten, dass durch die Höhenlage und damit verbundene häufigere Nebelbildung die Temperaturen immer etwas geringer sind, als auf Meereshöhe am Sporthafen und Strand von Calheta. Wer mit dem Auto die Insel entdecken will, hat hier den idealen Ort für einen hervorragenden Ferienaufenthalt.

Hoch in den Bergen mit Meerblick

Wir haben hier Anfang April unseren Urlaub verbracht und sehr genossen. Das hat ist gut ausgestattet und sehr sauber. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und unkompliziert. Alles ist gepflegt und einladend. Ich kann das Haus empfehlen für Paare oder Familien mit max 2 Kindern. Ein Mietwagen ist aufgrund der Lage unabdingbar.

Prima onderkomen

Het huisje is relatief nieuw, fraai vormgegeven, lekker ruim en van alle gemakken voorzien. Zeer rustige lokatie. Huisje ligt ca 10 minuten rijden van de kust. Weg er naar toe is deels erg gemakkelijk, maar laatste deel is smal en steil. Het allerlaatste stukje is onverhard. Prima te doen, maar wel afhankelijk van je rijervaring in de bergen ( maar goed dat geldt voor grote delen van Madeira ) blij dat ik een automaat had gehuurd

Haus welches wir jederzeit wieder mieten würden

Sehr schön und ruhig gelegenes Haus mit etwas sehr steilen Zufahrt. Das Haus war sehr sauber, mit allem was man braucht eingerichtet und sehr gut heizbar. Einkaufsmöglichkeit ca 5 Autominuten vom Haus weg was für unseren Frühstücks und PickNick- Einkauf sehr vorteilhaft war. Wir würden das Haus jederzeit wieder mieten und noch gerne weitere Wanderungen unternehmen!

Cozy house

We spent wonderful week in Madeira. The house was beautifully furnished, spacious and clean. There was little smell like dampness in the downstairs in wc and near kitchen cupboards and sink. Our hosts was friendly. In November we was there most of days the clouds was so down and the house was so high from sea level it was in a cloud. When the weather was clear the view from backyard to the sea was beautiful. After all we had a relaxing vacation in this house.

Relaxvakantie

Mooie woning, schoon, van alle comfort voorzien,. Wat kleine tuin, niet zo veel ruimte om echt te zonnen. De woning zelf ligt behoorlijk afgelegen, de weg ernaartoe gaat steil omhoog, als je een auto huurt moet je rekening houden met een behoorlijke motor. Wij hadden een veel te licht Fiatje 500, dat steeds stilviel bij het omhoog rijden. En ook op de rest van het eiland zorgde dit voor problemen.

Tolles Haus im Hinterland

Wir waren super zufrieden. Das Haus war perfekt eingerichtet und entsprach voll und ganz den Beschreibungen. Einzig die inzwischen hohe Vegetation im Garten versperrt etwas die Sicht zum Meer. Die Lage im Südwesten der Insel ist günstig, da hier das Wetter oft stabiler ist als im Norden und Osten. Wir erlebten zwei tolle Wochen.

Mountain stay in Madeira

This is a charming rustic house in the mountains above Calheta with great views. There is a levada one minute walk away from the house which is at the top of a steep winding road on an unpaved road. The house has everything you need for a comfortable stay with pleasant outside space containing loungers and two seating areas amongst lovely flora and fauna typical of Madeira.

Agréable séjour dans un lieu très bien aménagé et situé dans un bel endroit très calme.

Nous avons apprécié ce refuge très bien aménagé , confortable, et situé dans un endroit calme. La situation centrale permet un accès facile aux meilleurs sites de l’île. Nous recommandons vivement cette location.

Lovely Place

An excellent well equipped property, fantastic views. The pictures are a little misleading- making the outside area seem bigger than it really is. The road up becomes a dirt track and the property isn't viable without a car- those are the down sides, but overall it is a fantastic place and I'd have no hesitation re-booking it were we to return to Madeira .

Das Haus hat alles was es braucht. Es liegt ruhig, nur Vögel und Hühner sind zu hören.

Die Lage des Hauses war für uns perfekt. Ruhige Lage, schöne Aussicht, kühlere Temperaturen. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Gemütliches Haus mit tollem Gastgeber

Das Haus liegt etwas abseits am Hang. Genau das hat uns gefallen. Von dort kann man auch direkt loswandern z.B. 25 Fontanes oder auch einfach an der Levada entlang. Der Blick vom Dachfenster ist spektakulär und man kann die Sonne im Meer versinken sehen. Das Haus ist sehr groß und super sauber! Alles ist vorhanden. Gemütlich waren die Abende am Kamin und Paulo hat auch für Holz-Nachschub gesorgt. Das fanden wir klasse!! Im Garten konnten wir uns an allem bedienen, was wuchs, Zitonen, Kürbis, Äpfel, Orangen, Khaki,..... Im neuen Jahr wird auch das zweite Haus nebenan geöffnet, auch sehr schön und absolut empfehlenswert! Wir bedanken uns sehr für diesen schönen Aufenthalt und geben eine absolute Weiterempfehlung, auch in unserem Freundeskreis! Herzlichen Dank Paulo, wir kommen sehr gern wieder!!! Conny&Steffen

Schön einsam

nettes kleines Häuschen, ruhige Lage, es hat an (fast) nichts gefehlt, ein Geschirrspüler wäre nicht schlecht gewesen, war aber zu verschmerzen 😉, freundlicher Vermieter, der für alle Fragen ein offenes Ohr hat, das Objekt ist sehr empfehlenswert
