About Louise Walls
We are Louise and Matthew and we moved into Dove House in 2011 and have since renovated and developed the house and the gardens. We have 5 boys who have all but one left home and our only girl Daisy is a pointer cross who enjoys the space of the gardens. We are both from the north of England but enjoy Oxford and all it offers.
Louise Walls purchased this House in 2011
Why Louise Walls chose West Oxfordshire District
With Central Oxford only around 15 minutes away and London around an hour away, Dove House Cottages provide a country feel but having Oxford so nearby. Dove House is an amazing stone built house with some parts dating back to 1450 and having a Grade 1 monument dovecote in the grounds. Free range hens wander around the grounds and the welcome gift of a few fresh eggs for the guests always seems to please! The village of Cassington is so conveniently located being so near to both Central Oxford and The Cotswolds. Both of them can be reached so easily.
What makes this House unique
The house overlooks the Norman church of St Peters and indeed the church bells ring out in true village style. The cottages are renovated to a very high standard and are immaculately presented. The friendly village has 2 pubs literally seconds away and the cottages offer total privacy but having Oxford city life just about 15 mins away.

The house was perfect and was modern and charmingly appointed. I did not want to leave! Louise made everything easy for the stay.
A beautiful, high standard & well maintained cottage, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Thankyou
Found this by chance when we were looking for Hotel accommodation & decided to book this instead due to reviews & quiet location. So pleased we did as exactly as described & made our first visit to Oxford memorable .
The cottages are in a pretty village only about 8km mins from the centre of Oxford, 5km Summertown, 8km Woodstock and Blenheim Palace. They are situated down a private country lane and overlook the historic Norman country church, St Peters. The local friendly country pub The Chequers is 2 mins walk away and there are a great many country walks in all directions. The Cotswolds are about 30 mins away with Burford being the closest Cotswold town.
Beautiful Oxford has a wealth of attractions and is famous for its University, museums, arts, culture and architecture. Unlike anywhere else the punting is a treat not to be missed. There is incredible shopping at the new Westgate centre with all the popular shops and restaurants. Bicester Village outlet centre is 25 minutes away. The Oxford Parkway railway station has 2 trains per hour travelling to Marylebone and takes 58 minutes or less. There are a great many pubs and restaurants eg The Trout in Wolvercote, Jacobs Inn in Wolvercote, The White Hart in Wytham, Woodstock Arms in Woodstock, Gees in Oxford, Cherwell Boathouse in Oxford to name a few.
