12 Norwegians descended upon villa Igea to celebrate Tom’s 75th birthday. We’ve had the best week in fantastic surroundings, resting our eyes on the Tuscan hills in summer here.
We’ve made immense meals with tasty Italian ingredients, including rosemary and sage from the Villa Igea gardens. We’ve bathed in both chess boccia and the horse’s board games
We’ve appreciated the estate to the degree that we’ve only made a short visit to Lucca. Leaving Villa Igea we have a newfound appreciation for textile wallpapers, cooking on gas stoves, orange trees outside kitchen windows, frogs singing, donkey neighbours and spacious room – inside and outside!
